For those of you who don't know, when you moderate a sub and Reddit bans it, you still have access to ModMail for the sub. You can't go into the sub anymore and see posts/etc, but you CAN still get messages addressed to the sub and you CAN still send messages to users on behalf of the sub.

My vagina should be pretty well within the standard variance you'd get with a cis vagina, very minor differences, and you wouldn't even know unless you were a gynecologist anyway. There aren't a huge amount of Admins on this site, sure. But they do take action when spam is brought to their attention.

Users here tend to block what they don't want to see, and move along. They don't consider that the rest of the site suffers because whatever they blocked still exists, and everyone else sees it.

The other day I went into a sub I hadn't visited for 2-3 weeks. All the recent posts were spam. I reported the posts and within 24 hours, they were gone.

That means for 2-3 weeks, literally no one else on this entire site did the bare minimum of "report spam" when they saw it. They just ignored/blocked it and moved on.

The Admins acted quickly once they were aware. There are only a few of them, and they are real people like all the rest of us who use this site. They aren't machines, and they can't read every single comment and post that comes in. They need all the rest of us to help too.

r/WatchPeopleDie got banned from Reddit in March 2019 and moved here. I have always been a lurker of their sub, so I did not make an account at the time, just browsed.

I modded r/LGBDropTheT on Reddit with a few others, and we started getting concerned about a ban also. We discussed a few sites to be a backup, but ultimately decided on SaidIt because of WPD. We trusted the WPD mods and figured if they found SaidIt welcoming, we would too. We eventually got banned from Reddit in July 2020 and completed our move then.

Now the only time I'm on Reddit is to help people find their favorites subs which got banned and remade here too :)
