What I just don't get is.. why? Why the fear? What is the goal? What is the end game? Why intentionally create a world of fear over something that just isn't there to the degree being cited over and over, the lockdowns, the mandates. Why crash the economy? What I want to know is: what do I need to get ready for? Cause from where I sit this seems like it's been done on purpose.

Pet owners:What's the story of how you ended up with your pets? by Locke in AskSaidIt

My daughter had a tiny chiweenie that devastatingly got ran over right in front of us, she was heartbroken. Hoping to cheer her up my sis and I chipped in to buy her a shih Tzu. A few years later she sadly asks me if I would take her, as her husband was pretty abusive to the little doggy, she couldn't take it. Gladly took her, have had the little dear almost 2 years now. I took her even though I already had a rat terrier going on 14 years and so very glad I did, because sadly my rat terrier passed away and the little shih Tzu made the pain from that loss a little less heartbreaking. The little white fur ball pretty much rules the roost here.

That if you post or reply something that even nudges someone to have some critical thought you get beat on relentlessly. I like discussions and seeing where thoughts lead. But they pretty much put out a bandwagon on things and if you aren't on it the masses descend.

What are some positive things that have happened since March 2020, whether for you personally or in general? by medium_tomato in AskSaidIt

The extra coronabux went for needed things to fix up the house and land, tools, equipment, and emergency fund. The time off from being laid off produced a bigger garden. The gardening is looking like a small cash crop that might be replacing our income as it is looking like our job may not be coming back. Before March: barely scraping by working for someone else. Within next few months: barely scraping by but working for ourselves. Silver lining in this chaos that happened.

My daughter is named Karen. My ex named her, I was too out of it to care. But she is stigmatized by the name, and considering changing it. Some meme's hurt.
