For every user of /r/actuallesbians who posted in /r/askwomen there will be at least 14 users posted in /r/mtf, 11 users posted in /r/asktransgender, 10 users posted in /r/egg_irl and 9-10 users posted in /r/traaans.

So "cisgender" women there should be a huge minority (at least judging by activity), and even among them majority seems to be just bisexual women.

You could have noticed that this ideology and activism is appearing only in developed countries, where women are getting rights and never in countries where being woman is very hard.

Last few thousand years men were dictating women what to do, how to live, what to wear.

And now, when women are finally starting to get independence, some men (and in some societies majority of men) are disliking that, as they do not want to lose control over women. They are feeling entitled enough to define what woman is. So how they think "feeling like woman" is - it how it must be and no other way, just because they want to define womanhood same way they were doing it for millenia. The reality is that there are still proportionally less MTF politicians than cis male politicians and cis female ones.

And the reality is that there is much less MTF people than males of females. And yet they are disproportionally represented. So if you take "on average", there will be much more MFT politicians per 10000 trans than female politicians per 10000 females. First of all - our problems are very different problems, so we don't have anything in common to stand for.

Second - this new gender ideology is very homophobic on its nature.

Third - it affects kids, especially young gay boys and lesbian teens, ruining their lifes forever.

Fourth - it throws back all our effort on normalizing "non-conforming" gender neutral or "wrong gender" cloths. It has to do with feminism more than with LGB issues, but it has to do with LGB as well. Women were able to wear any "men" cloths, and men were slowly getting there as well (previously here people will call you gay or attack if you wear red or pink shirt, nowadays it is normal). And gender ideology is returning back stereotypes, that "some stuff is inherently men stuff and some stuff is inherently women stuff", which is not true at all. I asked one of TiM's I know, he said that author was doing transphobic tweets in Twitter for years. And by transphobic he showcased some tweets like "transwomen still have male socialization and in most cases acting like men, so none of my works about women stereotypes is affecting them in any way". And I can assure you she is right, as I know transsexuals who are 25+ years after transitioning, and still acting like gay men. But it is "transphobic" nowadays to think like that, because now "being woman" is what men say.

So most likely they never read the book, and just went "she is TERF, so book must be TERF too".

I am still sad about young people, as they grown up with the idea that this is a correct way to go, that this is how LGBT works. All they ever saw was TQ+ agenda on twitter/reddit. And maybe she is just butch lesbian, or masculine straight, but her mind is infested with all this dangerous TQ+ agenda, and most likely she just ruining her life by following them. If "non-binary" agenda is only hurting their minds, T agenda is hurting their bodies, to a point that it can never get fixed back.

When I was most active in our LGB communities 15-20 years ago, we were saying to young people - it is right to be as you are, you should not blame yourself that you are different, you should be proud of being who you are, you should not blindly follow gender stereotypes and just be yourself. Fix your depression by accepting yourself as you are.

And what this new TQ+ agenda is? Literally opposite. "If you are not in gender stereotype - you are queer/nonbinary", "If you like something different that your gender stereotype says - you are transgender and must follow opposite gender stereotype", "fix your depression by pretending you are someone else and with hormone-drugs", "you are not free to express yourself, unless you are nonbinary". Cages and chains everywhere.

Article is very homophobic. And they are quoting only research about MtF transgenders, but interviewing FtM instead. Research had 232 MtF transgenders, all from one same surgeon, one same city and group. And research is from 2005 year, about 1990-2005 years, so before all this transgender boom, when most transitioners were homosexual men. There few studies, but only one of them is actual research (from 2005 year), other ones seems to be political statements without much evidence or research done.

And study is weird, because "85% of participants experienced orgasm at least occasionally after SRS and 55% ejaculated with orgasm."

How they can ejaculate, if they had SRS? Study also said that many became asexual, so your idea about "social acceptable" seems to be true as well.

More frequent autogynephilic arousal after SRS was correlated with more frequent masturbation, a larger number of sexual partners, and more frequent partnered sexual activity

Plus study is mostly taking to account AGP transwomen, so nothing weird in them "changing" sexuality. Some of them seems were "virgins" before, so only after transition started dating and having sex - so most likely they were gay or bisexual men with internalized homophobia. I know at least one such gay man, who was saying they love women, but never dating one or liking any stars, they only liked male stars "for their actor talent", but after transition they "started dating men, they were straight before and they are straight now again".

+2 points on Kinsey scale is not significant, and it means that they were bisexual to begin with. So going from "Liking women a lot and liking men a bit" to "Liking women normally, and liking men a bit more" is not changing their sexuality at all.

Please. I don't even know how to respond to something this nonsensical. So basically, this supposed scientist's answer is, "I didn't let myself be attracted to men because I understand that men hurt women, so I have to be a man in order to safely be attracted to men." These poor young women. Instead of teaching young men to treat them right, we're teaching the women and girls that they can just become men and not have to deal with misogyny anymore. Because not wanting to be treated like a sex object means they're actually men.

I've noticed it is a lot with young lesbians, most of them seems to be non-binary or transmen. In videos someone posted here, from young detransitioners - all of them were lesbian tomboy girls, who were bullied for not looking feminine enough or for liking boys, but after transition they were praised and not bullied anymore. Tavistock own data from Keira Bell case showed that 2/3 of transmen (women) transitioned with reasoning of being tomboys or liking girls, I believe 1/3 were lesbians there. This trans movement is very toxic towards young GNC kids and towards LGB youth.

Yes. Feminine men are same men as masculine men. Masculine women are not less women either. If you are GNC man, there no need to become GC woman instead. If you are lesbian woman it is fine, society must not push you into becoming straight man.
