I was always fascinated by the stupid TV "transformation" trope. It went like, an "unsexy" woman is overloked by men. Then she "transforms" herself (aka puts on make-up / tinny uncomfortable clothes) and voilà, she is a beauty and the main male character falls for her immediatelly. While I want to scream, "Dude! It's the same damn woman, you didn't give a flying f*ck just five minutes ago!"
