The article mentions that the car was newly delivered, and a review of CCTV footage shows slightly erratic driving while it was on the elevated expressway, and made no attempt at slowing down as it came down the off ramp before slamming into a row of parked scooters at the side of the road. The cause is currently unknown.

The EMT attempted but was unable to resuscitate the driver at the scene of the crash.
