Define what you mean by "kill". Communism literally took guns and shot at people en mass, exterminating entire family names. There were big pictures of Stalin and Mao and Lenin etc. hanging around, and if someone did not show proper respect for them, their entire family would have often been whipped out.

That is a different level of evil. Communism has NOTHING to do with economy. That is only a vector of attack, a justification to convince the masses, or rather, for the masses to lie to themselves.

Communism is one further step towards strengthening the evil of this world. Towards "reeducating" people to be indifferent towards right and wrong. The relativism of good and evil.

It is about destroying the society to mold it according to a hideous shape. It is about creating a system of unending evil.

For all the ill of capitalism, it does not say to kill everyone who is not a capitalist. All the dumb young communists in the west should be a proof of that. Communism however...

But he can choose, he can go to North Korea, a person from North Korea can not choose to go to an other country.

Also, he could go to a less ... capitalist ... food outlet than McDonnalds, which is considered a symbol of capitalism (to a degree).

Also, no need for them evil capitalist smarthphones etc.

I suppose that is bad, and I also suppose it is supposed to say that Trump is bad and all (which, yeah sure, he is). BUT, if the US is so dependent on on a foreign nation (with questionable viewpoints on things like freedom and civic liberties, if that matters at all), is it really that bad to try and wean off of the dependence? Let us face it, most of the things China is producing for the US (or Europe) could, and maybe even should, be produced locally, no?

It would be better for local wages, local population, local industry and even the environment: To see the latter, consider 2 things: 1. You need to ship supplies to China, who than assemble it, and ship back. That is a lot of CO2 2. The environmental standards there are not as high as in "the west".

Just my 2 cents.

  1. I am not a capitalist (but I much prefer it to communism)
  2. There is slavery, which is beyond horrid. And should be focused on waaaay harder. I am with you 100%.
  3. But that is "just" crime, you will have the same in any system of this world. There is a differnece between a state, ideology etc., not eliminating every evil of this world, and actively creating/supporting it. For all of capitalisms shortcommings, I do not think they are actively supporting it.
  4. By free I did not mean that. As in, I did not suggest that communism literaly enslaves people and sells them on the block. What I meant was that you can open a corporation under capitalism and create a certain type of food. Sell it and make profit You can not do it under communism. The state decides what should be produced and by whom. So "innovation" (which granted, McDonnalds is not really one) is much slower. Indeed, in "perfect communism", innovation would be proportional to a handful of peoples ability to innovate, cause they would control everything. "The state" is always a few people on top: See Mr Winnie the Pooh, for example.

yeah, I will to my part to "propagate it". There are many disgruntled Redditors who are looking for an alternative. There are actual subreddits for that. Best place to advertise :)

If we can get to about a million people, with about 100k active users, (users who on average post at least 1 time a week and spend about >15 min a week on the site), this site will be big enough to "last". It will be a real alternative at that point.

And that is what I want. Ideally like 10 million, but you know... Not something to "replace" reddit, i.e., with like 1billion users etc., Cause at that point, it to will be either bought or shut down.

Reddit was way cooler too, before it got too big...

Nice day to you, sir.

But ideological system motivate people and give them the ability to, as well as the freedom to do. Or not to do. There is a reason why under communism, you had to wait for 10 years for a car you bought on the day. (yes that is a fact, you can look it up.)

Cause by doing evil, you become evil. And so, all you have done is subtracted one wicked person from you country, subtracted one decent and created one wicked. Net result, you have simply subtracted a just person. And that is what murder does, it does not strike down the worse, but the better.

No, the goal is to make the world better, not worse. And that is done by speaking up, with love, honesty and conviction.

If only reddit were really going the way of the dodo. But, alas, I think that they are still too big. We need to ACTIVELY advertise this platform on reddit. Keep pulling people over.

Best place/time is when some big topic is being censored/deleted. Post to the people whos stuff was deleted, PM them. Post on dissenting subreddits, like watch reddit die as comments (not threads).

Advertise for alternatives. Preferably for one. And guys, be active on here. If it looks like its not being posted on, people will leave.

Post regularly, (don't spam ofc) and upvote. And recruit. Reddit is a propaganda machine at this stage, we need an alternative.

[–]Many_Coconut[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I fully agree. I am not saying US politics should not be in there, or that it should not even be 99% of the discussion, if the community so wills.

Just that, there should not be a rule that says it is ONLY US politics. I think it hurts the political discussion, if for nothing else. Because world politics also affect US politics and vise versa.

I just hope that saidit will be more open and less deceptive with their titles etc. I would really like to see it take off and become "reddit as it was meant to be".. :)

Cheers.
