Would you date a transman? by Srime in Lesbians

confession: I upvoted because I felt sorry... 😖

I don't actually think there's a problem with the way GC/radfem groups view people with gender dysphoria. They see them the way you'd view a person with any other delusion. For example, people who think they are an animal or a different race, age, etc. They don't entertain the belief at all. And that's fair, since it's illogical.

Their goal has always been abolishing sex roles, not sex. TRA and trans ideology is definitely a step backwards when it comes to accomplishing that. Whenever I see someone talking about why they transitioned, it's always "because I do this stereotype" or "because I like that stereotype" or they say "I feel like a woman/man" which is, of course, impossible as those are not feelings. What they mean is "I feel feminine/masculine" and the goal should be allowing men to be feminine and women to be masculine instead of pretending that they were born in the wrong body and enabling this mess.

Do you believe in compulsory heterosexuality? by QueenOfTheNorth in Lesbians

they repressed homosexual desire while lying to themselves that whatever they felt for men was indeed how desire "should" feel. They'd tell people they were really into this boy or that when asked by friends, but for "some reason" would never want to actually flirt with them or date them. It was a crush with zero desire for action past the thought they'd tell themselves of "ah yes I have a crush on that boy."

This looks like pretty standard behavior for people who are figuring themselves out/ in denial. I think it's great that you've always had it figured out, but everyone's journey is different :)

What is compulsory heterosexuality? I've seen so many different definitions. I thought it's about societal pressures and expectations for everyone to be heterosexual, not about having crushes on the opposite sex.

In 2021, what are your honest thoughts and feelings when you see a woman with hair dyed an unnatural color? by AndiOop in Lesbians

[–]MannyMandrake 15 insightful - 1 fun15 insightful - 0 fun16 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Hmm it's hard to answer this. I agree with the comments saying it's usually just a way to get attention, but I have a sister who dyed her hair deep blue like the color of Mystique in x-men. She's not an attention seeker, I swear. She's an introverted gamer who hates attention. Some people do it simply because they like it.

That being said, it would still raise my alarm bells at a first impression. Unfortunately, unnaturally dyed hair is one of the most commonly recognized trait of rebellious attention seekers

I'm totally not trying to diffuse the catfight that's brewing, but here's a sexuality quiz (that was clearly made for straight people) to distract you all 🥴 by ShotsFired in Lesbians

Apparently I'm 50% straight. I guess didn't choose enough of the predatory options to be homosexual :)

A lot of people upvote posts without thoroughly reading or they just skimmed the title. I'm sure most people completely agree with you. The comments are more important than the upvotes.

I'm a phone person and I find Saidit to be awkward to use on my phone. I check here occasionally but rarely have anything interesting to contribute.

Where do you meet women? by Athelhilda2 in Lesbians

I think I just got really lucky. She was among the group of regulars who I'd see at the park everyday. It's easy to strike up conversations with fellow dog owners. I didn't know for sure that she was interested, but she responded well to subtle flirtation so I took a chance :)
