Agreed. I’m from a liberal bubble and my politics are Marxist feminist but it seems like the mainstream “left” in western countries is ultra elitist and rather than gatekeeping over race/ethnicity they gatekeeper over some language and virtue signaling. Hard to unite everyday Americans if they dont even know what you’re saying 🙄. Plus while I agree with them in values I think their politics are really dangerous. I’m very worried about police abolition without socialism, private security replacing police is a step backwards for EVERYBODY.

I know that’s like a lot but I feel like the convo is so dominated by catch phrases and rehearsed argument no one can have an honest conversation about how to make like better for regular people and what that would look like.
