Yup. And as pozzed as Imgur as an organization is, and how much they support being on The Right Side of History (along with denizens there that use it like a ctrl-left neo-4chan, trawling through popular posts and reporting them for wrong-think and other perceived "naughtiness"), Saidit might do well finding another image host to replace using Imgur as default.

I realized Imgur is large and well known, but they serve a particular set of ideologies that don't jive with free speech or a moderate/neutral ground for discussion and opinion, such as Saidit supports.

KEKpe.pe is the replacement for MagaImg.net after that site was suspended by CloudFlare for supposed terms of service violations, and their URL blacklisted from pretty much all social media sites.

CloudFlare refused to provide proof of or even give a meaningful answer beyond "We may at our sole discretion suspend or terminate your access to the Website at any time, with or without notice for any reason or no reason at all." Magaimage.net later shut down that URL after determining the whole "just create your own host/protection/payment processor/internet/etc" situation for "Wrong-think Websites" was beyond their capability to win, since so many sites (Reddit, FB, Twitter, Insta, etc.) quietly blocked and banned any and all images hosted from that TLD.

This is another reason why users here have told /u/Magnora7 to distrust CloudFlare, because at any moment, for no provided (and therefore addressable/fixable) reason at all, they'll terminate your protection and throw you to the wolves.

Image Chest is another in-progress site that has many of the features people look for in an image host alternative to Imgur, but it is still working out bugs and scaling up capacity and reliability as it can afford to. Because it is niche, it is, of course, host to many of "teh sexy pics". Imgur has that too, just they keep it off their front page to offer a SFW site until one lifts up the veneered surface.

I can't find out much about this site, but it appears to have potential. If it is truly a decent alternative to Imgur, and doesn't hold water for a particular political agenda (right or left), it may very well be viable.

That was my bad. Back in February 2019 I created this subsaidit, /s/kotakuinaction since users were still heated at having to abandon KiA Prime (before we started degradingly calling it half-KiA) and having to open a "2" version on Reddit, since the users abandoning half-KiA ARE the community, not the mods who run it. I thought taking back Prime by name here would get the ball rolling during Option 4 Fallout, but like you've said, Saidit hasn't reached critical mass, and 17ish months ago, it was even more a ghost town.

Once shenanigans picked up on Reddit (Policy changes of September 2019, IIRC), I messaged DomitiusOfMasillia on Reddit and offered him this cardboard standup of KiA2's values as a refugee landing to coordinate the exodus from Reddit, which he took, brought over Clockworkfool (AoV came too, just not modded up), and then he created /s/KiA2 as a backup to /s/KiA, as well as the Poal sub. I stepped down from ownership last month, leaving it in DoM's capable hands.

99% sure you're referring to Pinkerbelle, whom the other remaining mods largely simp over like thirsty jackals. She was (still is?) very active, and if by "very conservative" you mean the exact opposite of that, the "token leftist 'feminist' agenda'd diversity hire" who mostly gets her way by said mods backing up her egregious modding with panty-sniffing levels of "Bebe's Boobs Destroy Society" behavior, then yes, that would sum up late 2018 through most of 2019 mod activities on half-KiA.

To clarify, is Redpilled2 claiming that Crowder actually live-streamed this video and it was shut down in the middle of it? I don't see any mention of it on the full video uploaded to Crowder's channel on YT.

Further looking into it, the entire description of this video is Redpilled2 making a long sob story about how YT strikes his videos down, he needs our money to save his family, is a single father, etc etc. With several different means to donate directly to him. Smells SUPER fucking fishy to me.

I'm pretty sure Crowder would have mentioned something in his 1.5 hour upload later in the same day that he was cut off during live-stream. He doesn't. I call bullshit on Redpilled2's claims.

Are you intentionally leaving out the facts verifiable by video, that Raynard not just attacked the cop, stole the taser, THE ENTIRE TIME IGNORING LAWFUL ORDERS TO STOP, then as he's running away TURNS AROUND and aims the stolen taser at the pursuing cops (which was also in the direction of the citizen vehicles in the drive-thru) AND FIRES IT? The cops are required by law to stop him by any and all means necessary at that point. Their lives and the lives of citizens were in danger. Tasers are AT BEST less-than-lethal. At worst, they have killed people. Officers are aware of this, and will respond as if it IS a lethal firearm.

I'm glad you brought all those points up, because they are what I've been personally leaning towards believing (the concept of the PoD is inherently naive, a passive-aggressive argument between a site admin [whom I believe is no longer engaging in good faith] and a user who is probably trolling to some degree [and therefore not engaging purely in good faith]). I'm loathe of opinion to Saidit's "insightful/fun" replacement of upvote/downvote, and would rather not have them at all, when per-user client-based "hide this post / ignore user" options might be better suited for those who would want to use them.

Utopian ideals are unrealistic ideals, I believe. Not to say they're not worth striving for in some cases, but a non-forum style reddit clone platform might do better in being truly neutral, excepting of course the few necessary rules like not allowing posting of content that will get it shut down by the feds, and letting the discussion chips fall where they may.

According to Mag's PoD, one is supposed to address the central point of the post, refute it or counter-argue it, where resorting to an ad-hominem attack against the user because of the perceived characteristics by the replier is only one step above name-calling. Mag refused to address the argument (again, I'm not taking myself a position with or against the OP's image's position) and instead concern-trolls about posting "divisive" content, because he has already made up his mind about the current ongoing "revolution" and anything related to those involved. Mag then posts this nugget in response to OP's initial reply to Mag's initial comment. If that isn't clearly Mag refusing to address the OP's stated position ("Intelligence is a heritable trait") by an ad-hominem and concern-trolling, demanding the argument be met to his point while ignoring his own PoD, and deflecting constantly to his claim that the current multitude of co-opted revolution is contributing to increasing racial tension and divide, I don't know what more I can show you. That whole thread is a fucking mess, and the top-level reply to Mag (and its reply ) are completely ignored by him, despite their contribution to the OP's point and calling him out on his own low-hanging fruit top-level comment to OP.

This site is supposed to be better than this, but there has been a marked abandonment of the Pyramid of Debate since the riots broke out, especially by Mag's own "crusade of truth" for lack of a better term, and a handful of powerusers own "crusades of truth" dealing with the purported reasons behind the ongoing riots.

It's every bit as stupid as all the clone articles that can be found about this make it out to be. PETA seems to have ignored the parts of the video both talking about and showing the trainers teaching the marines about edible plants and fruits, and the marines eating some of those plants. It makes an argument based on the false equivalence that because SERE specialists use certain VR training sims as part of training - for pilots, NOT Marines - in safely bailing out, parachuting, landing, etc... the stuff that pilots need to know BEFORE they incorporate their very similar real-life survival training, so that surely Marines could just do the same, plus add some off-the-shelf video games with "food procurement components," whatever the fuck that nebulous description could possibly mean to encompass in any military training-incorporable way.

SERE specialists are already using virtual reality to prepare Air Force pilots for worst-case scenarios, and interactive video games that have food procurement components are now on the market.

These disingenuous motherfuckers at PETA should take their prescribed VR and video game survival training, then get dropped in the middle of Cambodia with the same kit Marines get for their survival trials and see how quickly their keyboard warrior brand of "training" gets their asses dropped by any one of the things the Marines in the video were eating/drinking.

Depends on how rigorously one enforces their "Pyramid of Debate. That has its own set of mountain-like ranges to overcome vs. "reddit hordes' mentality" for 15 years of upvoting/downvoting being 1:1 agree/disagree, despite what the Official Rules over there say. Seriously, as noble a pursuit is as guiding and shaping the thought process behind communicating on an internet forum with an abstraction divided into "insightful:fun" (wtf even, "fun"... if that's the best you can come up with, it should point to the problem of your system already) to REPLACE an abstraction divided into up:down -votes with supposed meaningful thought put behind the decision to click one or the other... it's most probably going to be a failure.
