The Just Cause games are great. 1 is kind of janky, and more "GTA clone"-like than the rest, but still has fun gimmicks like Stunt Jumping across the roofs of vehicles and the ability to parasail behind any vehicle with a grappling hook. 2 is the best of the series, IMO; it's where the games really became their own unique thing. A gargantuan open world, the option to dual-wield any combination of single-handed weapons, the grapple hook becoming an innate feature with a dedicated button, the ability to hook yourself to terrain and take to the air whenever, the ability to tether any two physics objects (including enemies!)... It's a definite must-play. 3 is kind of a step back with a smaller, more boring world and lamer story, but it's still absolutely worth playing for the new gameplay features. The wingsuit is one of the most fun traversal methods in any game, and the ability to have multiple things tethered at the same time (as well as tether specific parts of a person) allows much more physics shenanigans.

I've had the classic Tomb Raider games since I was young, but the only games in the series I've really properly played are Legend (finished and beat most time trial stuff) and 2013 (kinda; got close to the end, then had my save file destroyed by a PS4-exclusive bug that's STILL UNPATCHED. Don't worry about it on PC, though, but maybe rotate your saves just in case). Legend was great fun, felt like a modernised version of the classics gameplay-wise, and told a good story. 2013, though, just felt like Uncharted with a Female -- I'm sorry, Woman Protagonist™, and Crafting™, and an Open-ish World™, and was a boring origin story.

Thank you for the permission, but I'm entirely too lazy and irresponsible to be the host of a chatroom. I'll just wait for the built-in functionality to return.

I did ask on the Welcome to Saidit post, and was told that IRC would be back "eventually". I was more interested in the integration between Saidit and IRC than the actual presence of IRC, but maybe it would be fun to have our own channel. I'll leave the decision to you and Antonio and the others, though.

I guess I shouldn't knock shit till I try it. I'm just so used to apps and mobile designs taking away or hiding functionality, or just not performing as well as the desktop version, that I just reflexively always use the desktop versions of sites. You've intrigued me with that bit about the leftover server code; could you please elaborate on what you meant?

'Sup. This place seems intended to have a 'comfier', more tight-knit and positive atmosphere due to subscription being opt-out instead of opt-in and the whole two kinds of upvotes instead of a downvote thing, and I'm curious to find out how scalable such a system will be if/when this place grows larger.

I had a question about the built-in IRC functionality; I don't see any kind of IRC window on any page. Is this feature currently disabled site-wide?

Edit: a quick question about the voting system. I just noticed that I have a total of 6 comment karma, even though I've only received a total of 3 Insightful ratings on my comments as of time of edit. It looks like the part of Reddit where you automatically upvote your own comments is still in effect, and my own ratings of my comments are affecting my karma count. Is this intentional?

Meh, apps (and reactive/mobile designs) are for normies anyway. Real Redditors Saidittors use websites in Desktop Mode only.

I'm very curious what's up with the lack of IRC. It seemed like an interesting feature when I read about it in the welcome post, but it doesn't seem to be active on any sub right now.

This site has a dark mode by default with no stupid new-Reddit mobile design crap, and is therefore superior. Here's hoping for a great future here.
