Reddit was a big platform, and like any big entity no one factor was responsible, but with each item added to the mix, there was obviously a cumulative effect. There's plenty of people out there who could and probably have made reports and documentaries about it; at this point, I think Reddit survives on inertia alone, and the fact that none of the alternatives are yet big enough to challenge it with any real competition. It's effectively a quasi-monopoly as far as the niche it offers is concerned.

Yeah, sadly, Reddit hasn't truly been a free speech platform in years, probably close to a decade at this point. With Aaron gone, it was really only ever a race to the bottom, and given the carte blanche given to degenerate there, so long as they're leftist degenerates, that really sets the stage for some real crotch rot to set in. The infection's hit the bone long ago, and the corpse is bloating from gangrene; the only thing that keeps people there is the size, because you can't really find the depth of content, the variety of sub-categories, or the number of users that Reddit has. Sadly, we have to use a couple different alternatives to really even reach a measure of the experience.

If Reddit were to formally die, maybe that would disperse to platforms that actually still value free speech, but I suspect that powerful interests such as the CCP and their Western equivalents keep it alive so as to keep their opponents disassembled online.

Aaron dying, Pao being put in charge for a time, spez taking if after her, and 10% being sold off to the CCP certainly didn't help either.

They'll allow a handful of opposition subs to exist to give the illusion that Reddit hasn't decayed into a leftist circlejerk, but obviously they're not going to keep their hands off a forum where people can show them a way out, to places like here. Honestly, I think the Admins only keep the opposition subs there because they know that if they let AHS have their way and be rid of them, the leftists would immediately begin to turn on each other, as none of them can pass the purity tests on ever more asinine requirements to be considered one of the faithful of their little death cult.

I can understand why the CCP would be interested in the technology, since it directly competes with their rare-earth mineral interests in regards to the current state of 'green' tech. If a bio-chem based energy source can be developed and made practical, then it essentially becomes ubiquitous because most countries would be able to create the fuel for it with a degree of gearing in their supply chains. I mean, if your country has any kind of agriculture, you can produce the maltodextrin. You can't do that with copper, lithium, cobalt, or any of the other materials that go into other tech.

You're not picking up what I'm putting down: that doesn't mean jack if the DNC has made it clear that Biden's the choice; you don't think them calling a lid on any notion of a debate isn't indicative? If the Democrats felt ANY of those people were fit to fill the office, we'd have already heard tons of puff pieces about them, and we'd be bandying their names about in discussion already... instead all we hear are the crickets singing inside Biden's ears. Sanders and Gabbard are proof that the party doesn't want reformers, so anyone that would actually be marketable across the aisles is doomed.

Yeah, those people won in swing states: all that proves is the voter fraud is very effective, especially when most states are red aside from deep blue enclaves that hold enough districts to give Dems a better-than-average shot. Don't ever confuse electoral victory with agreement with the policies that will be enacted.

Thing is though, even if they can find another warm body that technically, if we squint sideways hard enough, qualifies for the post: are they realistically any more marketable than Biden? I mean, let's look past the fact that the LA Times leans left, and thus is going to fluff the Democratic candidates up; don't you think the fact that THIS early in the game the DNC has declared there'll be no nominational debates indicate pretty clearly that the fix is already in, and if not the rivals will be told to fold early so as to not divide the party? No disrespect, I agree 110% on your general thrust, but at this point I think it's pretty clear that word's gone out that Biden's a lock.

I say this as someone who used to vote Democrat until 2016, and while the Democratic party's been dead to me for the last 5-6 years, still hopes that eventually they purge the old blood, burn the corpse, and let something newer and nobler take its pace.

I mean, let's just go through the list of what this left-leaning outlet thinks their favored sons and daughters are:

Moore and Shapiro: unknowns outside their state; will take years at best to build up a body of policies and results to build a reputation on that will give them the cache. Same as how DeSantis IMHO still needs a couple years to build his portfolio up, and he's being premature now. Maybe they'll work out, but not this cycle... assuming there's nothing in their past that'll ruin them, or they don't get caught up in a scandal.

Gretchen Whitmer: Call me crazy, but I think conspiring with the Feds on a kidnapping plot where only one of the kidnappers wasn't a Fed or an informant, in order to make herself seem like a victim to pump her numbers... not the kind of person who should be President. Also, she was one of the worst tyrants during the COVID years... and a complete hypocrite on her own lockdown policies.

Roy Cooper: Seems like a comparatively decent guy on a casual scan, although I don't know much about him; he does seem hamstrung by the fact that he seems to tow the party line on a number of the more unpleasant platform positions of the mainline Democratic party, even declaring a state of emergency over the school choice issue. If he were to raise higher than Governor, he'd have to grow a spine to stand against that and reform the party, and the DNC would make sure any spine he grew would meet the business end of a crowbar. He'd be like Bernie Sanders: warm and affectionate like a grampa, but weak politically and easily broken to the interests of the higher players.

Pritzker and Murphy: Elitists who were born with a gold spoon in their mouths, have no understanding of the common man's struggles, and would have no problem enacting the worst of the Elite globalist agenda, because to them voting is an inconvenience they tolerate because us 'peasants' haven't yet been properly brought to heel. What's not bolted down they'll steal; everything else they'll get in the form of bribes.

Beshear: A very blue person in a very red state who JUST squeaked by in the polls; probably more on the name recognition of his father who'd been governor before him. So far, the track record of his policies make him just another carbon-copy Democrat who pretends to be conservative because he's in a red state, but will show their true colors on the national stage.

Gavin Newsom: Do I really need to point out how badly California's doing right now? He's certainly tanned and coifed enough to look Presidential, and I'm sure Aunt Pelosi will put in a good word, but I'd really rather not have to avoid shit, needles, and homeless encampments during my daily walks.

There's more down the list, but even the article puts them at the bottom of the barrel for good reason: people like Klobuchar, Booker, and Buttigieg stand no chance for the same reason they stood no chance the last time: everyone sees them for what they are, and what they are is nothing to vote for.

As I said, little wonder they're going to see if they can pump Mr. Magoo full of enough adrenochrome, pray to Moloch, and offer up some child sacrifices to make sure he makes it to 86; which is statistically impossible given his age, as well as his dreadful health both physically and mentally.

So, if you're angry at her, don't be: the fate her lifestyle is going to leave her with is more terrible than anything you could do to her.

I don't think they're necessarily planning to fail per se; I think they've simply chosen a set of priorities that make failure a very likely outcome, and then they have a philosophical basis that tells them that failure is never their fault, always someone else's and that this means they're somehow a 'victim', and as such are now entitled to gimmes.

In many ways, wokeness is like a religion, because it follows all the sorts of magical thinking that it takes to believe that incorporeal beings made the world and decide our fates; wokeness is the manifestation of Nietzsche's worst fear: in the wake of older, defanged faiths losing prominence in society, newer faiths would rise up to take their place, and they'd be like the Old Testament god that was demanding human sacrifice and throwing people into pits of hellfire.

It's bizarre if you assume their intent is to do what most entertainers do, which is garner interest so as to earn income.

If you realize they're not so much entertainers as they are racist activists who's hatred of whites is stronger than their desire to perform an art, and who view virtue signalling to their fellow racist activists as more important than keeping the lights on, then it's not bizarre at all. For them, failure ironically demonstrates to them that they were a success; don't ask me what the metrics of that are for them, because I'm not capable of that level of cognitive dissonance.

Please, Pelosi said it best when she said that the way they operate, they could run a glass of water for office and have it win just so long as they put a big D next to its name. Democrats don't operate on merit, they operate on brand loyalty, or failing that, fear of any alternative. Plus, let's be real, they've become dependent on voter fraud, even though in certain circles just mentioning the possibility of it will get you cancelled. Biden would never be President if they hadn't 'coincidentally' found enough boxes of pre-filled ballots at 3am in all the right precincts. They got Fetterman into office when he demonstrably had brain damage from a stroke, then kept him in office when he disappeared for weeks due to clinical depression; obviously, they have no problem running potatoes for office, given they're even keeping Feinstein in office.

Realistic answer? Probably nobody. I listen to a number of independent news and opinion sources, and the one thing they tend to agree on about the inner workings of the Biden Administration is that it's a ship where everyone and no one is behind the wheel.

It's a collection of policy wonks, Deep State operatives, special interest groups, donors, and career bureaucrats that rarely get talked about on the news but seem to be the third guy down in photos for the last 8 Administrations... and to make it even worse they're not all of one mind on anything, but seem to have factions that war and conflict with one another.

There's always that belief that there's some Illuminati-type group that's somehow calling all the shots, and the WEF clearly has an agenda where they've put out feelers into many other governments, but the sad truth might just end up being that really, at the core, there is no cohesive goal: just a bunch of people looking to either loot the treasury before the empire falls, seize some minor fiefdom to carry out their personal agenda, or just try to secure some kind of nest egg for after the collapse.

I mean, there's a lot of black-pill messaging out there for a reason: when civilization or a nation collapses, it's not like something explodes to signify it's happened, it happens in small and subtle ways: the cops simply don't go to a particular part of town and tend to stick to the areas they live in, things don't get built or really maintained, they just slowly break down, and slowly the powerful begin to ensconce themselves into enclaves where private security will defend them in exchange for the crumbs off their master's table.

I don't know if it's avoidable, but our leadership is clearly acting like the collapse of the global order is inevitable, and what they're trying to to is ensure that their quality of life can continue uninterrupted while the rest of us go die in a ditch somewhere. So long as someone tills the fields and maintains the machines, they really don't care what happens to 99% of the population; what's happening now is them preparing for that transition while jockeying for power to see who'll be in charge when the NWO takes over.

That they put Biden and Harris up for office pretty much tells you that even by THEIR estimation, they have zero prospects for talent and it's all diversity hires from here on out. If they have no problem keeping Biden as he is, with gaffes and national embarrassments that make us a global laughingstock on a daily basis, then why WOULDN'T they put him up for a second term, and find as many pre-filled ballot boxes at 3 am as it takes?

I truly believe at this point that there's no bottom with them, they'd stoop to anything to stay in power. Like, if he were to pass in office, I honest-to-god think they'd try to "Weekend at Bernie's" the corpse. We sure as hell wouldn't find out he'd died until days after it happened, bare minimum, because they'd need that long to figure out WTF they'd need to go to maintain a grip on power and they get their ducks in a row with the media narratives ready. They'd then put Harris in office and give her even less public appearances than she does now, saying she's 'busy healing the nation' or some other tripe; then they fill the VP office with another puppet that ticks even more diversity boxes than Harris.

I think the one thing we can reliably count on from this Administration is that they'll leave as many people as possible to twist in the wind and die in a ditch. Afghanistan for sure is going to wither on the vine, because I doubt Biden's handlers would risk another devastating blow to their reputation and credibility; remember, it was the supreme clusterf*ck of them pulling out how they did that caused the wider public to pull back from their support for Biden. They may chuck some bombs there and say they did some good, but anyone that's been left behind is already dead, it's just a question of how much longer it'll take them to die.

Reddit's a cesspool who's only advantage is that it's still the biggest news aggregation site out of all the potential competitors; if it was up to the leftists alone, it would've already collapsed under the weight of all the increasingly impossible purity tests.

But yeah, they're ODDLY protective of pedos, trans, and other sexual degenerates; I got banned outright for saying pedos should go in a woodchipper, and even now months later I still don't regret saying it. It lets you know who it is that rules over you in regards to social media. Eventually a competitor will pick up enough people migrating from Reddit that we can safely leave it in the internet's dustbin. Free speech died on Reddit the same day Aaron did; what's left is just leftist agitprop and CCP intelligence operations. I only occasionally go back there to sample the madness and reinforce my belief that it's where good ideas go to die.

We're all better off building up sites like this to become a true alternative.

Frankly, given how he behaved when he was lucid, I don't feel sad for him at all; this is about as close to justice as we'll get for all his crimes and the lives he's ruined. If I feel anything at all, it's frustration that enough people have been asleep at the wheel when it comes to the accountability of those in charge, that men like this can be paraded before us, and it's been allowed to get this far.

Forget government holding them accountable, they're all basically in the same crooked club aside from some MAGA outsiders; WE should've been lighting a fire under the rears of any politician who's up for another term.

Honestly, I don't think that we're going to get nuclear war: despite what US/EU propaganda says, Putin is very much a rational actor, and there's no way he'd press the button unless he truly felt that Moscow was on the brink of sacking, which is never going to happen because even Putin's adversaries don't have the balls to commit that far. They like the IDEA of having Putin as this boogeyman they can trot out to justify their actions, they don't want to actually defeat him, because even if they succeeded with no consequences, all they'd have left to blame is China, and the CCP long since bought and paid for their loyalty.

When you consider also that Putin's changed tack and is going for a modern day siege mentality by crippling infrastructure in reprisal for being pushed back, my bet is that Putin's counting on his adversaries capitulating first and agreeing to give him the buffer territory he's wanted from the start in exchange for an agreement that the rest of Ukraine becomes part of NATO, and thus is immune from further incursions. I think that's been the understanding between both sides since the war started, but Western oligarchs wanted to milk the conflict so they could launder billions through their network of proxies, while only allowing a pittance to reach the front lines.

Honestly, given the ultra-short attention spans of the people who'd even bother to give a damn about this situation, she honestly doesn't have any real value at this point; she's just being held because that's what the ruling was, and to prove the point.

I mean, if she was suicided, who would tell and who would still care, given that we're now absurdly considering nuclear holocaust?

Frankly, if I was dumb enough to put myself in that situation, I'd pray to God that some powerful concern would send a crew of hardened inmates to shiv me as much as it takes; that's a country with a prison system built on gulags, which were designed to break you over like 20 years no matter what the charge or sentence was. Better to take a couple minutes of pain then all that horror.

I'm pretty sure a full strip and a cavity search is standard operating procedure at all prisons across the world. Sexual abuse won't be her biggest problem in the Russian prison system... tuberculosis will; apparently that shit's endemic and there's no way to avoid it.

Bet you she won't take the American Anthem for granted when she makes it back; though, given how deep that activist psychosis can go, she'll probably be a raving lunatic that hates the US for not immediately bailing her out of prison for crimes that were entirely her fault.

Leaving one party doesn't necessarily mean you join the other. I don't really see her ever joining the Republicans, I just see her frustrated and disappointed in what the Democrats are.

Why would they ever do a single favor for Biden? Not only has he done nothing for them, he's denigrated them and made it clear that he's not a supporter of fossil fuels; meaning he's politically at loggerheads with their long-term viability as an economic power. Plus, not for nothing, but that culture values being strong more than it values being right, and Biden's hosed the entire American apparatus with weakness since his first day in office.

The American propaganda machine might be able to fool half of it's own countrymen, but foreign players are far more savvy, especially foreign statesmen; they see right through him, and they see that tying themselves to him to any degree might as well be signing their own death warrants. The last irony in all of this is that Biden's attempts to intimidate them into doing his bidding only give them that much more reason to cut ties with him entirely and just go over to China and Russia; if the petrodollar becomes the petroyuan or the petroruble, the American dollar's value will plummet, and mixed with all the other economic failures Biden's seen put in place, we could be looking at a collapse the likes of which could see America shrink in world influence to the point we could enter a new Dark Age; which I suppose would be fine for the oligarchs who'll treat us like chattel serfs, but not so much for the march of human progress.
