Inside the privileged lives of protesters busted for rioting in Manhattan. They came from privileged backgrounds that include pricey private colleges, modeling careers and summers abroad. One of them was wealthy Upper East Sider Clara Kraebber whose parents have a second home in Connecticut. by Chipit in news

So, it was a protest organized in part by the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement. One of their stated goals is "Ownership Through Use: The Co-operative Economy and Expropriation."

From their own website, "Revolutionary struggle necessitates an aspiration for collectivity. Those who exploit us and withhold the fruits of our work from us will not willingly give up their wealth and power. To carve out autonomous territory, or to begin the revolutionary process, goods, land, and tools must be expropriated, or taken away from those who withhold them."

I mean, it seems pretty weird that rich people are protesting themselves right? "Oh my god, I hate myself for not giving up my second home! I need to go loot some stores to feel better about it!"

If you watch the Flat Earth documentary, you can see that the kinds of people who get caught up in these movements, and end up staying with them even when it's nonsensical, do so because it's their complete identity - not necessarily because they believe in what it stands for. They like the sense of belonging, and they might even an important voice in their movement. So if the movement ends, where does that leave them?

And that's what people who are privileged, yet protest against privilege look like. People who are protesting for their identity, not their beliefs.

Man Is Left ‘Speechless’ After Finding A $160k-Worth Swimming Pool Hidden In The Garden Of The House He Bought For $20k by kesh in whatever

$160K? Maybe in Pesos.

You can get a brand new pool and hot tub for $65K.

I mean, good for him, it's a nice find. But why exaggerate it my-time.com?

Also, he spent $10K but didn't paint it?

Meh. It's changed a lot in the past week. You can definitely tell the IP2 people took up residence there. It used to be funny meme's, now it's just race-baiting cringe.

I will say, the reddit ban-wave certainly changed how I consume news aggregators, or whatever they even call sites like this now-a-days. Which is good, I suppose. I am more of a tourist than I used to be. I'm like the native Americans, riding around on my keyboard little pony, setting up my teepee for a few days, then moving on. Because I have the attention span of a gnat.

Does saidit have an "I'm 14 and this is deep sub?"

Burning down an innocent persons's business does fuck all to solve the problem. If you want to go burn down the murder's business, have at it, I guess. But ruining the livelihood of innocent people is only going to make the situation worse.

I dunno. I think she looks kind of cute. Like a cabbage patch doll. If she was tiny I'd like to dress her in little outfits.

The final totals revealed that, in fact, Stein’s total voters exceeded Clinton’s margin of victory. Even you assumed Stein's voters would go left.

It's ok to admit you're wrong.

According to Kopko and Devine’s analysis, if Clinton were given all of Stein and Johnson’s votes, Trump still would have won Iowa, Ohio, Georgia, and North Carolina. But Clinton would have won Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan — enough to win her the election. Kopko and Devine’s analysis was completed before all votes were counted.

The final totals revealed that, in fact, Stein’s total voters exceeded Clinton’s margin of victory. In other words, if every Stein voter had voted for Clinton instead, she could have won Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and the presidency.

Edit to add: This is why Canadians and Europeans need to stop spouting off about American election. You really don't know what you're talking about, and you're just muddying the waters worse than they already are.

Sorry, you're globalist arguments don't really appeal to me.

And a Canadian arguing that everyone should vote third-party without any nuance to the argument at all is total BS, and exactly why Hillary lost the election - They split the vote.

If you want to vote third party in a state that is for sure going to go the way you would prefer, then go for it - vote third party. But if you're in a swing state, you should hold your nose and vote for the one you find least repulsive.

I feel like one of the most frustrating things about political posts on the internet, are all the posts from non-Americans. Why do Europeans and Canadians always want to tell Americans how to vote? Most of you really only know what you see on CNN anyways.

Asking for donations for chest surgery by Criticalofgender in GenderCritical

The whole "life saving surgery" drives me insane, because I fell for it at first, and I'm sure others do too. I mean, if you don't think about it, "life saving surgery" seems very important, and who on earth would deny a person "life saving surgery!" Then your realize that the only reason it's "life saving" is because they say they're going to kill themselves if they don't get it.

I'm going through a pretty big mid-life crisis right now. I need to set up a go-fund me for a "life saving" convertible Corvette Stingray.
