It always bothers me so much that people put each-other into tiny little boxes like "liberal" or "conservative" and then everything about that person based on said box and mental label.
Not talking about you OP, I assume that is the very idea you were trying to dispel with this exaggerated picture about one of those sides.

I have been using Linux Mint for several months now and I'm really enjoying it.
I have an older laptop (now 10 years old, but still very solid) and it works like a charm. The security, the performance, the lack of inherent spyware that Windows users have to put up with....unless you need it for very specific programs or games that run only on Windows (and you can't use WINE [which emulates the Windows environment on Linux] to get them to work on Linux), Linux is the better choice.

Agreed. As far as my experience with Voat goes, it was filled with anger, hater, bigotry, vitriol.....etc. (but hey, perhaps it's different now, I haven't been there in quite a while, so I can't judge really).
If one wants a productive space for conversation, one needs to move away from any kind of hate. Intelligent conversation cannot flourish with unchecked anger going around.

It's you! Man I thought you disappeared way back for good.
I never really ever figured out whether you transformed into some other name on Reddit or just disappeared. I guess it was a transformation then :)
