[–]Intuit 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

The provisions define the words "canvasser" and "canvassing" and ban door-to-door canvassing in public neighborhoods that choose to place signs at each entrance prohibiting such activity. The City of Wixom does not require canvassers to carry a permit.

ACLU Attorney Bonsitu Kitaba called the ordinance "problematic" in that it restricts political expression.

She added that while an individual resident may choose to post a "No canvassing" or "No solicitation" sign on their own property, the city or neighborhood association cannot implement a "blanket ban" on these types of First Amendment activities.

Hydrogen is a powerful fuel, and a frequent component in rocket fuel, but numerous technical challenges prevent the creation of a large-scale hydrogen economy. These include the difficulty of developing long-term storage, pipelines and engine equipment; a relative lack of off-the-shelf engine technology that can currently run safely on hydrogen; safety concerns due to the high reactivity of hydrogen fuel with environmental oxygen in the air; the expense of producing it by electrolysis; and a lack of efficient photochemical water splitting technology.

I trust incentives. In this case, I trust that the "vaccine" will be worse than the supposed cause.

My geometry teacher warned us to never refer to SAS as ASS, despite being equivalent.

Anyone who's not a total idiot can determine that sugar water is not healthy.

Hydrogen replacing fossil fuels and becoming new source of power. "Professor Brouwer says green hydrogen can be used to power not only buildings and cars, but also jets, ships, trains and long haul trucks and its emissions won't harm people or the environment." by Chop_Chop in Hydrogen

Hydrogen is not a fuel source. You have to extract it, which takes... energy (more than the hydrogen you get out). It's just an energy transport medium.

They could have added the realism of a real election: you don't know the actual votes of everyone. They could have had everyone vote secretly then done the result and asked if it looked like it could be correct. Then had everyone say how they actually voted and look at the ballots.

Two things: the phone is an interface to another world where the child can build things, but those things are much more oriented towards getting social praise etc. rather than intrinsic rewards. And, the phone is a powerful distraction device for those who have a painful life they want to be distracted from.

YouTube-dl's repository has been restored!!! by [deleted] in censorship

Not in my experience. Lately it's had to be updated every week or so. Like parent, I installed from yt-dl.org and it stopped working a few days ago and I had to download the newer version. YouTube breaks things constantly. The NewPipe app on Android I use to play YouTube audio in the background also gets broken a few times a month for the same reasons.
