Im tired of this make believe 0% interest rates where boomers print money and give it to themselves as a "loan". Asset prices have been inflated and created massive inequality. Stocks and housing should go down so that people get wealthy by producing value through work rather than sitting on assets. Interest rates should not be artificially lowered. It is not the free market.

Tax is not the solution. The solution is stopping the money printer. Tax is the hegelian dialectic

The idea the vaccine is harmful makes no sense.

Is Bitcoin a store of value? by frankielc in finance

[–]ImHereForFinance 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes to some extent. I like bit coin. Speaking in terms of supply and demand: It is super cool as a concept as it fights fiat currency which constantly deflates in value after an inflation in the currency supply. Bitcoin supply is static and superior to cash as a the bitcoin supply is constant. As demand for it increases the price will inflate and the supply will stay constant. Stock constantly generate a profit and are even better than either. Profitable stocks are even better than bitcoin but are a poor means of convenient exchange. Crypto is superior as a means of exchange and for that reason I think stock market backed cryptocurrency would be the most beneficial hybrid currency. A money that pays you to hold it that can easily be exchanged.

Why gamble? The company has only been publicly traded for a year and doesnt make any income (the number the Corporates report to the Feds). The cost of producing the good is more than the value of the good. Further the cash flow is negative (The number the Coprates Report to the Investors).

DiSCA if you want a short squeeze gamble. Has value. And they hype of a streaming service and a 30% short atm and 400% return ytd. Too the moon. Drink their milkshake

[–]ImHereForFinance 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Its a mirage that holds value in the eyes of its supporters. The only reason that bitcoin is worth money is because its supporters believe that its worth money and are willing to convert a bitcoin to cash which can then be exchanged for good produced by companies.

Companies are actually producing the value. Bitcoin supporters are merely allowing you to exchange the fruits of their labour( the value that they produce as components of companies), for the goods that companies produce.

Companies are the only item of true value. If cash did not exist , companies would still be worth value. A barter economy would develop and the blenders a company produced might be traded for the potatoes a farmer produced.

Seize the means of production!!! --A filthy communist

I made over 47% return since march. The sp500 went up 80% so I actually under-performed. It would have to fall considerably to negatively impact me. Im optimistic. As long as glorious leader is in charge they will continue to print funny money and inflate the price of the elites assets as well as refinance them.

I would prefer certain words commonly used in calls to violence to be banned. And that the post just has to be edited before posting. I dont want this to become voat.co. Banning is a pretty heavy measure and is counter productive. Reddit tier suggestion designed to manipulate the forum. Ideally the whole site would not have rules and rather different subverses could set up their own. EG. I would like to ban Q stuff because it is retarded. It would be nice if I could first set myself what I see and if the subs i visit could set banned words and ect. Banning a person should not happen. It should not be possible to put something bannable

[–]ImHereForFinance 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes. Low interest rates benefit anyone with assets. At negative interest rate you can take a loan out on an asset , such as a house, they will pay you the full value of the asset and then you get to keep the house and only make payments that match or are less than inflation. That is why the rich keep getting richer with low interest rates. Problem is they decide your loan based on your assets. which is stupid because you assets have been inflated in price by low interest rates

Negative rates meaning that you can get paid to take out a loan. Sounds profitable. Rates are already negative relative to inflation because the true inflation numbers are much higher than reported. I doubt they will every pay you to take out a loan. they will simply have an interest rate that is lower than inflation

Bet on the same horse as the rich: stocks and the inflation of assets. They will rig they system in their favour. Bet on the same horse and they cannot rig the system against you. (easily).

Buy value stocks because the market is full of hot trash. I made 12% last month on a flat sp500 of 0% Feb 2021.
