Ex-Virginia Tech Soccer Star Sues Over Abuse Suffered For Refusing To Kneel Before BLM by levind in news

What a sad shit show the right makes of everything. When Kaep first started kneeling (before BLM was cool or existed), racists could hide by getting behind the flag issue by saying some stupid shit like "Thomas Jefferson died for the flag that Kaep won't kneel for". At this time, Trump called people protesting "sons of bitches",

I can't say BLM has become cool, but it sure is a lot more mainstream now. So, if a racist is still hiding behind defend-the-flag rhetoric, s/he now has to come up with some other reason for not giving a fuck. Looks like the racists are acting like victims now since their opinion isn't clearly the most popular now.

I'm saying rather clearly IMO that some people will try to own Saidit and everything else and control its content if they're allowed to do so.

Some people think "freedom of speech" = "freedom to abuse and disrespect". They believe a person is wrong only if s/he is caught; some "lovers of freedom and capitalism as per Ayn Rand PBUH" call that "a free market's ability to self-regulate". It's all evidence that when some people will see an unlocked door, nothing inside them tells them they should back away in order to respect the owners. I guess it all comes down to the idea that people are threatening, they're all around us, and they want everybody to think that everyone is like them.

"Partners of the black man"

This is the most racist talk I've seen outside of Stormfront.

Nobody can talk you out of your racism. You just have to sit in it until you see it for what it is - because you obviously think it's taking care of you somehow.

You dont fight insanity by joining it. What a moronic notion ...

You've never had young children, and if you have, I suspect you were harsh and that your kids avoided you.

This is a power game. It's the power of the mob of followers of the media church against the free individual. Hence it's a new form of fascism or socialism. And it will develop and end quite similarly. The parallels to 1930 - 1945 are frightening.

If this is a power game, it's the weakest one I've ever played. In fact, every time I wear my mask, NOBODY GETS PAID. That is a serious failure as a power game because if nobody gets paid, what benefit occurs? Do you think there's a bunch of guys high-fiving WE GOT ANOTHER ONE! I SAW 'EM ON TV!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

I understand fighting evil; however, you seem to be inventing monsters in your closets. I see no reason to be scared like 1930, but if you want to freak out like there are invisible goblins, you go right ahead, but please reconsider because you're going to look like one of those people downtown who shout loudly at people who aren't there.

What I'm saying is that when we're at home relaxing, it is a time we can use to evaluate what we're doing with our lives.

Protesting masks is something you can do with your time and energy. Typing on this website takes energy.

My question is asking why you chose to become vocal about a global disease. I understand that you just don't believe a problem exists - even with news reports of caskets and overstrained hospitals all over the world.

So, for the sake of this brief discussion, let's assume you are correct. The entire world has launched an effort to bully and push people around by making them wear masks..... which could lead you to believe there is probably a crowd of world politicians right now doing drugs with prostitutes in a hottub at Putin's palace. There's probably a jumbotron there, and Putin gets everybody to cheer loudly when......... when......... video pops up on the screen featuring people everywhere WEARING MASKS! Sounds like a college prank to me; like did you see the video of that dude who attached a rubber penis to some dude's helmet? S/he rode down the street with a d--k on his/her head! That was quite funny.

So, let's assume that all these politicians are pranking the world so that the party at Putin's palace becomes the WILDEST THING EVER.

Even if that was true, do you really think that is this world's biggest problem? Are you involved with protesting other things, or is this the only one?

In public places, everybody has to change their behavior somehow. You can't act like you're alone; can you?

If a fear of pink bunnies gripped the world, would you have a problem respecting the existence of that fear? Wouldn't you laugh it off assured there was no need to fight it? If you're so confident that Corona is fake, why can't you laugh that off and do what you can to assure people you won't give it to them?

I hope you're trolling because there are 11 gazillion rules and policies that affect the quality of life, and imo some of them truly treat people badly. Consider official communication from government agencies. That alone is dehumanizing, and I'd seriously consider efforts to protest against that.

But your issue is masks... in a pandemic. We have global evidence this is real and that masks keep droplets from flying, and you doubt that a mask directive is for our good.

There's clearly a lot of science, but your last sentence says it all. Why would a mask directive give you the impression people are trying to manipulate you?

Of all the things that are messed up in the world, why have you decided to use your energy on this?

WTF is the problem with wearing a mask? I can understand civil disobedience in situations where there is oppression that is accepted by a large portion of society. For example, Civil Forfeiture is a widely implemented procedure in which police take anything they want from people without ever formally charging them with a crime. It seems we would all benefit from people who want to express civil disobedience by facing city councils, police departments, and state government officials in order to formally protest this unjust, criminal practice.

Another oppressive, but accepted reality is racism. There are people who continue to express hateful sentiments towards everyone not like them. Would it not be heroic civil disobedience - something you'll be proud of at the end of all of this - to express disapproval for their racism DIRECTLY TO THEM WHEN THEY MAKE THEIR RACIST COMMENTS? A simple, "I do not support racism" would be the heroic comment we need, and that would be something you could truly be proud of.

Masking is a scientific matter of taking steps to avoid a known disease. If the Surgeon General formally recommends that people get out of cars only after they have stopped, will you be proud of yourself if you jumped out of a moving vehicle as a form of protest? People from other advanced countries have masked up for years. Why would some Europeans and Americans feel threatened by a directive that is obviously for the good of all? Can anyone really make the case that masks should get our attention AT ALL considering all the other crap that goes on in the world?

Ok. Sorry. I'll break down my title for 100% clarity:

China is TRULY more democratic than ANY other country!

This is the insanity that wumaos will actually try to argue is true. They'll argue that stomping out dissent is good because they totally love allowing people to complain about what flavor of tea is best.

Protesting is the right of EVERY Chinese citizen!

This is a joke. The video demonstrates that people can apply for a protest that will have no effectiveness at all.

EndBaizuoHypocrisy

This is just more sarcasm. You're aware that "baizuo" is a word that basically suggests that Westerners' crying about dissidents and Uighurs is a joke because they only care about themselves.

EndCIApropaganda

This is just another silly wumao expression. If they thought SpongeBob Squarepants could be a slightly credible target, they'd blame him for "anti-China" sentiment. #SpongeBobisSinophobic
