I think your post shows more the damage the TQ+ activism has actually done + the existing conservative values. I've recently seen a post on Tumblr, which says gender and sexuality is a spectrum and CAN CHANGE THROUGH SOMEONE'S LIFETIME. It was reblogged by a very pro-LGBT person and I really wonder how they didn't notice this post basically agrees with what homophobes have been saying - that your sexuality is fluid and change. It fuels the idea it's a choice and it isn't set. I was angry when I saw it. I am not surprised you start thinking this if you see such messages. LGBT groups are captured by the straights, who shape the meaning of gender and sexual orientation so they can easily join and flaunt their LGBT status. I find it just gross and it's actually damaging to the LGB people but I also wanna add I think this is even damaging to people like me. The asexuality being a spectrum makes me think I am a freak in a space full of "asexuals", who love sex and easily fall in love with any stranger. I haven't thought I was weird before joining these "ace spaces". Now I feel even more of a freak than before.

But no, homosexuality isn't a mental illness. Even if it's an "anomaly" but there is absolutely nothing wrong about it. It harms no one and it doesn't harm you. What harms you is homophobia and the TQ+ screeching about genital preferences.

How did we move on from the focus on legit homophobia to crying about how opposing transing kids is hate?

Life was easier when transsexualism was a very niche rare disorder which you were diagnosed with, not what you identified with... and even then these people acknowledged what sex they were born as and this is why they transitioned in the first place.

The current trend simply appropriated this niche disorder and turned it into weird spiritual, philosophy system which you have to take as a fact or you will be shunned. Insane.

I took a look into non-binary tag on Tumblr and you're right. What these people love is attention and being special. They actually love that for a simple question like "are you a girl or a boy" theny can show how special and unique they are. They constantly talk how they need to be validated. Pathological need for attention.

Transsexualism was once a condition, which doesn't make your life fun and you'd rather be "normal" than have it. Meanwhile 14 year olds and attention-starved people decided to appropriate this condition. I feel bad for the legit trans people - I once saw on a transmed sub how one trans man said he actually hates the growing awareness of what trans people are. People know he's trans because of his masectomy scars and he no longer baths shirtless as he used to. He can no longer be stealth, all attention focused on him being TRANS not just a man, who transitioned as a therapy.

The biggest problem with the T. Them wanting to be TRANS, not just men or women. The biggest difference you can see. They love being just TRANS.

Non-binaries basically started it all with that obligatory pronouns in the bio or get cancelled. Before that trans people just put their new names and no one thought twice what pronoun to use to let's say Jessica1234. But then non-binaries showed up and since they transition to no idea what they started to outright demand what pronouns you should use and that's the whole shit started with not assuming someone's gender or pronouns by just looking. I honestly think this is a source of this whole T clownery appropriating a legit psychiatric condition to be cool and quirky + coping with some untreated mental illnesses.

Ever since I found out about asexuality, which fit my experience, I was sooooo disappointed once I checked the community and saw this crap. Nowadays I kinda know why this happened - see how similar it is to expansion of transgender meaning. So that's why also asexuality meaning is similarly muddy and unclear this way. Not to mention what TQ+ is doing to the meaning of homosexuality as well.

In my opinion the true asexual feels no attraction (sexual+romantic), has no sexual fantasies and isn't favorable of sex (I think they don't have to be necessary repulsed but so called sex-positive asexuals are laughable). The thing is I don't even like the meaning of this word and the insistence to make me identify with it since I don't consider myself trans either. I have no idea what it means to identify with my birth sex, I only accepted it's the sex I was born as. If I was born as a different sex I'd also accept it as my reality but I literally have no gender identity to align with my biological reality. I just don't care. I don't see my gender as a part of my identity and it's fine, because what makes us a person are interests, our personality, our talents and skills... not an esoteric concept gender. Making me say I'm cis makes me think I succumb to a stereotype associated with my sex and it's a center of my person. I hate it. Makes my skin crawl.

To be fair I've been always torn with the whole LGBT situation in Poland. Right wingers point out what's indeed the biggest issue in LGBT community. The T. They talk about gender ideology and how dangerous it is for families but they connect it with brainwashing kids not to just become trans but to become gay. You can't make someone gay but with enough of influence you can indeed convince someone that they are trans especially when the whole trans stuff is such a broad term that I think everyone probably fit it. But being gay cannot be a spectrum like they do with trans identity.

So far protests are focused on gay people and for their rights what makes me feel good but then I'm worried that once gay people will be granted rights they deserve will go downhill the gender crazy shit like the US... I have even seen some Polish enbies and the way they twist Polish language to fit their gender is like the whole Latinx thing but even worse. I have no idea how they pronounce shit like "Ja byłxm" ("I was" - in Polish each verb in past tense is gendered male or female) in real life and it looks stupid and artificial. If nonbinary was truly innate and not just a trend we'd have proper pronouns existing in the language naturally!

It feels like a mockery to this kind of acceptance for the actual men, who have been always raised as men and told what's manly to do and what isn't. Meanwhile FtM was raised as female, look female and really thinks "he" does something incredibly stunning, special and brave by putting makeup.

Personally the only reason I even identify as aromantic at all is because TQ+ get angry if you think asexuality is complete disinterest in people both sexually and romantically. That's why being cisgender confuses me a lot. According to my trans and TRA friend cispeople feel euphoric about being the gender they are... like a ciswoman is supposed to get extremely happy she must buy pads, tampons, wear a pink dress and a makeup. Excuse me what the fuck. This is how these people brainwash you into thinking you're trans yourself since you hate most of stuff considered traditionally associated with your sex and don't give a fuck about your own sex.

I find it insane that TRAs managed to convince people that trans people but especially trans women are the most oppressed minority group... and then you scratch your head as you see that in a shithole I live in, you can become trans with no problem (aside from some issues with changing ID but it's still possible with some law bending) while I can't marry a person of the same sex no matter what even law bending is impossible.

I guess years will pass and you will have more trans influencers coming out as detrans.

I do believe there are people who experience gender dysphoria and they deserve help but more options should be explored for them. Activists screaming how transition is the only good treatment is anti-scientific because a lot of time something considered to be "good" turned out not to ne and alternatives were found. Activists cannot stomach this.

GNC? Not actually a woman

This honestly sucks for me. I am GNC and the thing is for most people GNC is a synonim for being non-binary. Even if you try to look for any resources regarding being GNC all you see is trans and non-binary. Imagine growing up as a GNC girl and look up this stuff. You're easily convinced and groomed into thinking you're not a girl. You must be trans.

I always related better to male characters even if they were just background characters and main characters were girls/women. We do a shit job a showing just a good female role model for girls.

For the fuck's sake. We've seen with detransition stories what kind of people CAN show up in gender clinics besides your classic, old school transsexual. People, who are so traumatized that transition is their form of dissociation from their traumatized self and self-harm. People, who are bombarded with misogyny to the point they feel uncomfortable presenting female and will do everything not to be "a girl".

But aside from it that's harmful for genuine trans people themselves. All their problems are believed to come from one thing - gender dysphoria - and transition should fix all of that. So that's why these therapists avoid exploring the other issues their trans-identified patient shows. Even if they may suffer from ED, depression, anxiety unrelated to gender dysphoria. But then transition doesn't fix these problems and the trans individuals are left so confused and worried about themselves. Hell, what if some detransition because they don't know what can help them? These professionals should focus on this.

Made me wanna really uncome out myself as straight instead of asexual, lol. But at least I don't really deal with so much woke shit there surprisingly and I just take these non-binary as confused girls/women with "not like the other girls" syndrome.

That's a good read. To be fair it's good to wonder what triggers the distress among girls/women to the point they'll be prone to adopt trans identity... my theory is it's simply because of social media. Social media is where they find the whole trans thing to begin with but social media is a place where they see how women/girls are seen by men. They see the thounsands of beautiful, and surely edited, selfies of Instagram female models. They see how very feminine pretty women will get popular on Instagram just for their looks. Isn't it that offending to some other women/girls, who either aren't this pretty or just don't want their self-worth based on it? That's kinda similar to people bringing up the magazine models, who also distorted girls view on themselves... but in the past they weren't exposed to it as much as now. But even then another social contagion was Eating Disorders - a similar distress signal among girls.

The notion that these teens sound like they were reading from a script is very true. For our excercises in a psychiatric clinic we could listen to some patients stories. One of the recorded patients, who agreed to share her story, was a 12 year old girl. She was all fine. She simulated depression, being pansexual (when asked how she understood this sexuality she understood in a non-sexual way) and then said she's transgender. All of that she said sounded very script like to me. I detected it right away and I could even tell where she read all of that. I found it concerning and it was troubling even more when it was said that these kind of minor patients were common currently.

I really wonder how they manage to sell the idea that everyone wsnts trans people dead without mentioning that these potential hate murderers could as well mistake effeminate gay men or butch women for trans people and also target them. But no, somehow it's just only trans people being affected and no one else who is gender non-conforming could be mistaken for being trans by a hateful person.

Seeing this I can only share my annoyance at how also "asexuality" is being expanded and getting basically umbrella meaning what I also find infuriating. It's welcome to people who never felt even slight sexual attraction and were never interested in sex in the process but also to your like married middle-age white women with kids who have never questioned themselves to be anything but straight yet they suddenly find they can be "queer" by claiming demisexual heteroromantic identity. Ever since I came across this asexuality spectrum concept I felt infuriated. It was many years ago. I thought it was unique to asexual community. But now I see this whole nullification of meaningful terms happens to basically every identity within the LGBT+ acronym so that EVERYONE can be uwu queer. And I found it amusing to find Tumblr posts saying that they will never question someone identifying as queer as straights larping as queer shouldn't be a concern. It's very telling who is behind a once gay movement. Now it's just quirky confused straights. This is why LGB is needed as separate from the TQ+ dumbassery.
