it is all funded by community, meaning it is made by community for community. thats the best reason tbh for me.

hyouge mono is my favorite anime, check it out by Huss in Anime

for me it is the character development of the main characters, and specially the protagonist. from the tiny stuff, you see encounter stuff and develop his opinions and taste through stages, eventually his development affect the plot later on. it is not your typical story in which the protagonist is friend of justice and stuff. the world is not black and white in hyouge mono. it is about a samurai struggling between being samurai and tea master, essentially, but the story is more complex than that. the anime is a satire of of senguko era in japan.

i cant describe it funny, it is really great. it is not for everyone. most people find it boring from what i have seen. so all you have to do is to check it out and see if you would like to continue watching or not. it is a niche.
