This is the best definition I've seen made by the opposition of the Canadian parliament Pierre Poilievre.

“And as for the definition of woke, well, woke has one purpose, and only one purpose. It has plenty of pretext but only one purpose: control. It is designed to divide people by race, by gender, by ethnicity, by religion, by vaccine status, and any other way that they can divide people into groups because then you can justify having a government to control all those groups.”

Chemo will still be the biggest. So many times it's given to people who have 3-6 months left to live and the are told that it might extend their lives a few months. A lot of people take it but the time they have lest is utter misery. I've always been of the mind set of quality over quantity.

I just had a second cousin who's husband was told he had a very aggressive form of cancer back in early December. He was told 3 months without treatment and maybe the summer if he takes chemo. He told them to stick it. He pasted away two weeks ago with really only the last few days any major issues and of those days the very last two he was unconscious. He was even cracking jokes right up until the end. I think he made the right choice.

Boeing said it was saddened to hear of Mr Barnett's passing. (chuckling in the background) The Charleston County coroner confirmed his death to the BBC on Monday.

It said the 62-year-old had died from a "self-inflicted" wound (more chuckling ) on 9 March and police were investigating.

Boeing should be buying a lotto ticket with luck like this. However, the damage is done and they are now under a microscope. A lot of people fly on their planes including people at the FAA and in government.

Now that the word is out on the shitty work they have been doing there is no stopping this investigation or bribing your way out of this. The more issues investigators find the more it will drive them to look deeper. This will unravel for Boeing and killing Barnett will have solved nothing.

With regards to the investigation, where there no video cams that saw him going to his truck? Getting in his truck?

Fake nude images and fake pornographic videos overwhelmingly victimize women and girls, and such material is easily searchable on major social media platforms and search engines.

This is the part I don't get. If someone posts an inappropriate image of an underage child how is it not removed? How is the account and IP address not give to law enforcement? At least a few times a year I see a news report of someone being charged locally with kid pics on the computer. Law enforcement is clearly working on this stuff. The only time I ever here radio is if I forget my phone and get into my car.

Even most stores won't play that crap. At our local mall I asked why ( I was curious about what they were playing and the conversation led to bad mouthing radio.) and I was told they don't want customers hearing ads for the competition. The store owner flat out said the only ones who could afford ads were Walmart, Canadian Tire and the likes (Big box stores) and they were on the radio non stop. So instead he subscribed to a commercial free music service for small businesses. In short he was willing to pay so not to have to hear radio.

I agree with xoenix, this point it's about the money.

The word retarded was once used as a medical term as well. They used to say people were slow or stupid and thus retarded was the medical term used out of compassion. Once that got commandeered we switched to "mental disorder" which too is now been commandeered due to association. I think is might be inevitable.

Here in Canada we also don't use welfare any more. We say "social assistance" but it's still used in the same condemning way. I've literally heard people say "ugh... He's a social assistance bum". (Instead of welfare bum)

I don't think that we can properly disassociate language from sigma.

Closing schools makes sense when trying to stop a dangerous virus from spreading. My beef is that this virus was not dangerous enough to warrant the closures.

Everything you needed to know about the mortality of this virus was established with the human experiment of The Diamond Princess Cruise ship. (Feb of 2020)

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7156812/

We knew at this point the virus was affecting the elderly while youth experienced mild symptoms. To me this ship was docked and the people left onboard specifically for the reason of determining how dangerous this virus really was. Like a sealed experiment.

What should have been done was voluntary lockdowns for the elderly/sick while the youth should have been mobilized to service the them by getting groceries and running errands. Locking down the whole population was a horrific idea and I hope someday people are held accountable.

Some of the auto mod take downs I still can't figure out what was wrong with the posts. Might have been edgy but I have seen worse on reddit.

Some of the mod take downs were nothing more then total abuse of power. One example, I agreed with someone who told a story about what life was like during the cold war under communism and my comment was manually deleted by a mod! 100% clean comment. No swearing or anything. Plenty of comments shiting on the guy's story that the mod left alone. Looking back I think they were trying to sway the comment section big time.

Everyone always freaks out about new consumer technology, and the freak-out is almost always the same. The new form of sensory input will harm kids! It's a dangerous distraction! It's socially alienating! They said it about the iPhone, about the Walkman … hell, half a millennium ago they said it about the book. New technologies arrive, and we adapt.

I disagree with this statement. I lived though the early days of the walkman. First, only a faily small group of people used them, About 10-20%. Boom boxes were far more popular. A walkman was for getting from point a to b or during exercise.

The fear of the walkman technology was being hit by a bus or getting robbed. Basically a fear of people not paying attention and unlike the smartphone, you stopped using your walkman in a social situation.

Noone ever talked about the walkman completely upending society. The smartphone and (now AR) have completely changed the mindset and perceptions of now multiple generations.

I do not believe that changes and benefits of this technology have been a net improvement for us as a society.

A portmanteau of Lolita Complex, refers to a fetish and complex in which a person is attracted to fictional prepubescent girls, usually called "lolis." Lolicon is often portrayed in various Japanese media, such as anime, manga and doujinshi.

How Walmart, Delta, Chevron and Starbucks are using AI to monitor employee messages by HiddenFox in news

Maybe the news item is intended to desensitize the public by gradually revealing the bondage they now find themselves in.

Bingo. It's step by step. You won't wake up one day and find your freedom is gone and now your a slave. It rarely happens overnight, it's slowly over the years, until one day there is no avenue to resist. You obey or it's off to jail.

I wonder if management of these companies are subject to this technology? Are their meetings being monitored too? Making sure they are doing what's best for the corporation and not their bonus? Making sure they don't fire or discipline an employee unfairly? That they are not trash talking a subordinate who is underperforming? My bet is no, it's the people with the shitty jobs that have to put up with this.

I think that's why they used "for example" before they stated their case and gave those numbers. We will never have perfect data on what truly happened and the best we can do is use reasonable estimate and draw conclusions. They also state that the assumptions they are using are conservative.

This paper was also peer reviewed and comes from an accredited medical journal. (The Cureus journal https://www.cureus.com/) To me there is enough here to at least engage in serious debate. I think dismissing this paper would be a mistake.

[–]HiddenFox 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Are you thinking about this in too large of steps?

It's not like an ape just one day gave birth to a human. It's small steps every few thousand years and a million years later you have something so different it's a completely different species.

The thinking is the last major evolution in humans was lactose tolerance. Starting about 7000 BC but not really becoming mainstream until about 1000 BC. Even today there are still some who can't tolerate milk. So could we say every 5000- 10 000 years there is a major jump?

Not sure if that makes sense, just a though.

Also, on the topic IMO natural elevation has stopped in humans due to technology. If a plague came a long that killed 90% of the population we would most likely develop a medical cure before that 90% die and the survivors repopulate. The next big jump will come though technology like Neuralink.

I'm going to cite a real life example like Kayla Lovdahl who went though surgery at 13. I won't go in-depth but she was in no condition or of any mental capacity to make this type of decision. One that she now regrets. She herself claims she was pushed in the direction of surgery. I believe this is only the tip of the ice burger and we will be seeing many more cases just like this. (There are others going on right now. I'm not going to spend the time looking it up.)

As for puberty blockers they are not reversible despite being advertised as so.

https://www.transgendertrend.com/nhs-no-longer-puberty-blockers-reversible/

To anyone with a basic understanding of biology this is obvious. Tinkering with hormones like this, believing it's a simple off/on, supply/deny switch, IT'S ABSURD! People who are pushing this belief are doing so on wishful thinking and are understating the side effects. Which brings me to why this law is needed. You have professionals acting on personal believes and social pressures not scientific, peer reviewed, objective analysis. That's what makes this so dangerous.

I do believe there is a very small section of the population that truly suffer from gender dysphoria but waiting until you are 17/18 is a reasonable, fair rule. We don't let children go to war, get tattoos or get married for good reason. They simple do not have the mental capacity to make those decisions. A life altering, irreversible, elective surgery should also fall under this.

Normally I would agree with you with politicians and medicine but too many are pushing a personal agenda with a goal of social validation.

It truly has become a cult were rational thinking is dismissed. They are allowing minors to make life altering, irreversible and damaging choices that are far beyond their metal capacity. Laws need to be enacted.
