Touch grass but them actually doing it and realising the sky isn't falling just because someone on twitter was mean or w/e can be really helpful for their development and help them engage with the world around them.

Some of them might even find new hobbies! I know when I did camping with the guides when I was younger a lot of people fell in love with it. I remember being 10 and feeling really proud that we'd put the tent up ourselves with no adult help. That we'd go make dinner next. I know at least one girl there who fell in love with mycology. We didn't pick any back then ofc cause who trusts a ten year old to know what ones are safe or dangerous when they can look very close. She now does talks/rambles on it and loves pointing out different ones. Same with foraging in general where she'll talk about what berries are safe and what to not risk it on.

Even something small like a day out at the farm where you can get your own milk/collect your own eggs or fruit/veggies can be really enriching.

My country doesn't have bears though. But every kid that did those days always really enjoyed it back then.

I mean I do know some people who intellectually knew they were weaker than their male partner but the reality of it didn't hit until they were play wrestling with him and he could pin her with immense ease. I've done a competitive contact sport and trained with men/boys. I could keep up with them as a child but as soon as you hit teen years? I mean I work for a council, there's a lot of people who chuck abuse at you for not doing something fast enough. I've been called a retarded jobsworth once for someone not getting a repair done fast enough (not my area, I'm just making sure it goes through on the system and I can see that it's currently with the contractor I don't control how quickly the contractor gets there mate) if you work in a public facing role people are going to be rude. It's not really that bad, they're just frustrated that they feel things aren't being done fast enough. I get it. Same for the teachers. Kids can be little shits, it's part of the job to deal with that and getting mad at them is just going to make them do it more in the future. It's worse for everyone when they get fast tracked. Those extra years of experience can have a huge impact. Look at any job and compare how you are on year one to year five to year ten. I absolutely do some things differently in my role than when I started. For all we know the extra time could've made them competent in the role, instead it's just going to make everyone assume that anyone else there are diversity hires rather than genuinely skilled.

Locally our police are really really good. My friend has a grandmother that has dementia and has wandered off a few times (they have a tracker now) and even when she's kicked off at them and called them all slurs they've just sort of taken it in stride and got her home/to the hospital for a checkup. Though that might be because one of them apparently also had a grandparent with dementia and knows it's the disease not the person. But that isn't everyone's experience. From when I was in school they do do the basics (teeth, eyes) in some in school sessions now and then. Though I was in primary school close to 2 decades ago so that may have changes.

Bear in mind in the UK it's free to go so parents are usually less bothered about going in if their kid has a persistent cough or something. The hardest part can be getting the appointment.

If only it were just staring. I have a friend who had earlyish puberty. I remember being about 10, same age as her and some men driving past in a car who stopped and told her that she should get in, they had something else for her to ride.

This was not uncommon for her. At 10. She has said if she'd grown up now she'd've def gone the trans route to not have to deal with that despite not being trans.

Look how far out of the way male teachers often have to go to make sure they look cleaner than clean. Hell my bf has worked with nursery students and any men there aren't allowed to do certain tasks alone as a just in case precautionary measure to ensure both safeguarding and any accusations from crazy parents. Which makes sense but also makes it impractical to hire men for working with a young age range, which sucks for a fair few of the kids as they can miss out on a good male role model. I remember how excited the boys in my class were when we had a male teacher one year in primary school and how much it seemed to benefit them. They were way more engaged with the lessons for example.

Like fucking hell staff at a lot of places would love it if they could ban people who abused them. I've known people who have customers actually attack them who were let back in. Physically attacked. Think stuff like getting punched or having their hair pulled out because the shop didn't have what they wanted in stock. Honestly there are some interesting links with grey matter and body identity integrity disorder, so it's possible that there's a link there with being trans too. Less of a man brain/woman brain thing and more of a your brain might be mapping itself wrong issue.

Like if it actually worked you'd have a much easier time diagnosing? Just pop them in the MRI machine and you'd only have people that are actually trans, not people that think they are.

I also think most people would be fairly chill with it because if we know what causes it we get closer to being able to fix it. Preferably without mutilating people. Like imagine you find out a brain zap in the right place cures it and all they need is that? Considering people with depression have said it works for them as a reset it's possible it works for other things.
