Nah, they use it as a strawman for GamerGate. I think that's incredibly telling one of their villians is referencing a period 6-7 years ago when someone once said something mean on the internet that half of them still haven't gotten over and the other half wasn't even old enough to be there.

I consider myself more of a centrist than left- or right-wing but I've seen so many blatant misrepresentations of the administration's actions I found this article to be an interesting read. I didn't even know Trump has nominated LGBT individuals to high level executive and judicial positions because that doesn't match the left's perception of him so of course it's just quietly swept under the rug.
