Most of them probably are literal children. At least teenagers. I took a peak at AHS today and judging by the comments I read, they have to be children. They were going on about parents who dont want their underage children to transition were just trying to control their kids. Obviously none of them have kids. I think something people tend to forget or ignore is that just because someone is racist, transphobic, or whatever doesn't mean they treat those people differently in real life. I feel the same way. But for me I live in a very red state, so I was going against the tide. I have never met a Republican who wanted to silence anyone. At this point I almost feel like a lot of Republicans saw the writing on the wall for censoring in the name of "wokeness". I have lost one lifelong friend over time because he married a SJW. At first I just ignored her comments about how black people have it worse and certain things were appropriation. She had a different opinion than me and that's fine. But over time she turned him into a spineless coward who cant see how hypocritical they have become. She came from a very sheltered and privileged background and she doesn't really live in the real world. Well up until recently. She chose to come from California to our big city to teach the underprivileged. I dont think she really understood the crime and shit here. She doesn't believe in having guns, so when she asked my friend what she should do if someone broke in and he said what do you mean, nothing, hope they dont kill or rape you, I think it brought her down from the clouds a little. They decided to move from the city to a suburb to get away from the crime. Yet now she supports defunding the police in our big city which she moved out of. He just goes along with whatever she says.

It honestly exhausting being around people like that. People like that are constantly repeating the rhetoric yet don't think critically about what they are saying. And they want to have no actual discussion about it. If you don't agree with them on everything you are a racist.

People aren't saying police killings dont matter until black on black killings stop. They are saying the amount of black people being killed by police is currently being blown out of proportion and if black lives do matter they wouldnt being killing each other like they do. There are no riots when an 8 year old girl was shot and killed in Atlanta. There are no riots for all the black men killed in major cities every weekend. Black lives only matter if a white person kills them. And yeah if 50 out of every 100 black men shoot each other that's a big fucking problem. Only 235 black men were killed by police in 2019 out of a population of about 43mil black. And yeah every unnecessary life lost is a tragedy, no one is arguing it isn't. Almost everyone is against police brutality. Almost everything think there should be police reform. No one thinks cops should be able to kill with impunity.

I would like to know what you think the black community is doing to reduce black on black crime. Because in my local, majority black city they arent doing shit. Recently the black police commissioner even made a statement about the hypocrisy of BLM in this regard. This year is the worst for violent crime since 2016. Mostly black men being murder by other black men. And we've also had more than average children being murdered. Sometime last year the chief of police made an impassioned plea to the community to please turn in people that have committed these violent crimes. So they kill each other and cover for one another and never do anything to address all the violence. But a white cop killed a black man and it's a national crisis.

Their only endgame is to be perpetual victims and to finally be thought of as better than whites.

No I don't think society is only to blame. Obviously every person has personal responsibility. These kids want to rebel and be mad, that's partly from society and partly from being a teenager. Their mind hasn't fully developed at that point. Teenagers mostly cant think about their lives and future long term. They dont realize they won't feel the angst and the anger and the I know everything mindset forever. Its always easier to be a victim and fall into the "everyone else is the reason I suck" mindset. I think part of the reason they feel this way is the alienation from society.

But I agree with you. Teenagers and young adults are generally very dumb and don't understand the long term consequences of their actions.

You've made a good point about the economy. There are definitely less "manly" high paying jobs available now. Back then you didnt need an expensive education to make a good living. Society now says having a manual labor job is lowly. Society told men for generations that their worth was in being a protector and provider then took that away.

I think some of these men/boys dont feel like they have a place in todays society. Maybe they grew up in a traditional household and wanted that for themselves. They see feminists as ruining their chances of having that.

I agree with your point about gender roles. I think men and women would be happier without set gender roles. Everyone gets to be themselves. But now we have TRAs backsliding the gender roles. So once again you can only like "girly" things if you are female and "boy" things if you are male.

Young men, especially young white men, are bitter because they are being told they are the reason for all the world's problems. Men are being left behind in education and told to deal with it or it's not really a problem. White men are told they are the worst of the worst and they should feel shame for how they were born. And the problem with all that is these are things children are being taught.

We, as a society, have been putting men down to lift other groups up. Which yeah those boys are bitter. Why wouldnt they be? They probably haven't done anything to anyone and dont understand why the world is against them.

That's disappointing because that's really just further enforcing the stereotypes. Yeah most teenagers are dumb, but a lot grow out of it. It's normal because your brain isn't fully developed. Life isn't fair and everyone has to deal with bullshit in one way or another. If you always let other people fix your problems you never learn any lessons. That's seems to be a lot of people problems. Never taking accountability for choices they have made and living in the victim mentality.

I am most of the way through Wizard and Glass which is the fourth book in The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. The story is basically going back in time from the previous books and the reader learns more about the main characters past. It's pretty good. I cant wait to see how it ends because Stephen King's book's ending are very hit or miss.

He does love me. I love him and our family and life we have made for ourselves. Because a lot of it did come from his hard work. I will always love and respect him because of how he stuck by me through everything and worked his absolute ass off to provide for us. Hes also a good dad.

But being responsible for everything makes me deeply unhappy. But also saying I want a divorce because he doesn't do housework or worry about the administrative parts of life seems so petty.

Is there anything in marriage for women? I dont know. It's hard to say and even harder to know what the future will hold. Our relationship wasnt always unequal that way. But then we had a kid and I stayed home. So I did all the housework and whatnot. When I went back to work I kept all the housework and added a job. I'm telling you that so you will understand it wasn't always like this. Life is complicated and I guess that answer is something every women has to decide for herself.

I can't even express how deeply that statement hurt my feelings. He never struck me as particularly sexist or misogynist but after that and some more recent statements I have realized how he really feels.

There is no bar for men. They think they are owed a submissive wife who does everything as long as they bring home a paycheck. The expectation of me doing everything honestly crushes me. Yes this is my life and its depressing as hell. I work a full time job, have a elementary age child and I'm going to college part time. But I'm still expected to clean the house, make the food, and take full care of the child. Meanwhile my husband thinks because he works a job that pays more, that's his only responsibility.

We have had argument after argument that I need more help around the house. Which pisses me off that it should even be considered "help". Its his house too. His excuse is men can't see the mess and it's not mens fault that women wanted to leave the house and get jobs.

So I either keep arguing about the same shit we've been arguing about for 10 years, accept that I am responsible for everything and everyone, or divorce him. If we do ever get divorced, I won't date or remarry. Theres just nothing in it for women.

Yeah the "protesters" broke down the iron gate to their neighborhood which also had "No trespassing" and "private property" signs on the entrance and proceeded to March to the mayor's house. So at that point the protesters were on private property and I dont see how they weren't within their rights to defend their property. They are being charged with a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon.
