As far as I'm concerned we achieved what we were aiming for - refusing to bend the knee and ban topics which Reddit wanted secretly forbidden.

Yes, that's transgender shit. It's all the admins care about.

The good news is that SaidIt admins won't be randomly banning people for offending whatever SJW group has their ear.

Reddit is a hellscape. by Seraphim in Introductions

Political zealots effectively infiltrated the admin team and have now imposed their politics on the whole site. Reddit is done for.

Wikipedia editors caught altering definition of “Recession” to assist Whitehouse get snarky at being called out over their blatant bias. by ClassroomPast6178 in TumblrInAction

Wikipedia's issue is that the application of the rules entirely depends on whether someone else investigates and reports it. Since most editors are expressly partisan objections are only ever raised when it runs against the desired narrative. A DNC employee can quite happily edit pages on Republicans to introduce bias and nobody will bat an eye.

In a similar vein, any newer editor who pushes against the mob is accused of being an "SPA", which in turn is used to justify harsher bans from enforcement of already convoluted policies. This actively pushes them away from editing and maintains the clique-like community.

r/TumblrInAction isn't dead just yet. For a while now the admins have been trying to subtly nudge us towards banning criticism of LGBTQIASOUP groups without explicitly making a rule on it. There's a chance they may decline to act at this point because it'd be very obvious that this is political.

They could discover a perfect, 100% effective drug that cures COVID and yet the research would still be removed from that sub. All that matters to them is political narrative.

My worry for SaidIt is that it may face the same problems as Ruqqus - too many subs without enough users to support them tends to dilute content and discussion. As it stands I keep finding interesting subs, only to follow the link and find that there's been nothing posted in months.

I don't actually mind the presence of conspiracy subs, but I would like a site that consists of more than JUST said people. General discussion is important.

Reddit has a completely different set of standards for politically agreeable communities. That's not even a secret.

Gonna need to re-host that with Imgur, it's not visible to anyone other than you.

The "no meta" rule on Reddit is pretty much the only reason TiA hasn't been banned yet, "brigading" is the admins' go-to excuse when they can't pin something else on a subreddit they want gone.

Nah, even the games subreddits are becoming politicised, or suffer from mods who feel the need to micromanage every single post with a thousand rules.

I don't think it's unreasonable to want a single network which contains all the content, instead of needing to go to a different site for anything that the majority of one site doesn't like.
