Hmm, another account with no comment history going "we need to hide those no-no opinions away".
I wonder what this could be..

I'll just leave this here:

What if I told you, that the last refugee wave was large enough for some propaganda organizations to put this site on their radar?

What if I told you the concern trolls posting those threads/comments are the first wave of shills, whose goal is to slowly corrupt this site the same way most platforms (like many subreddits, in their time) get corrupted? Notice how most of those concern trolls highlight problems that could actually be solved by their own participation - but, that would actually help the site, while their goal is clearly to (slowly) undermine it.

They will also cite the new influx of users as a good thing, and threaten it ends if $demandList isn't met, while in reality much of this activity is artificially created by those shills (not most votes, just the early spike that makes it visible enough for other people to upvote it for the sake of discussion).

This isn't going to stop, by the way - this is only going to get worse the more popular this site gets bigger.

You are a long way from Reddit, and yet you seem to still believe if you screech "hate speeeeech" and "mihsogakneeeeeee" people are automatically going to take your side here.
This couldn't be farther from the truth.
It's ironic - the same censorship platform that would once have your back in situations like this finally turned on you, and now that you escaped it, you realize there is nothing left to protect the rest of your delusions here in the open.
I suggest you buckle your seat belt, women up, and brace yourself for a few wake-up calls, cause this isn't the sheltered space you left behind.

Thing is, you are not debating - you are saying "people (implying yourself as well) are going to leave unless a specific type of content gets censored (and yes, supression is censorship)".

The other person said what most of us agree with - people who want to leave unless something they dont like is censored (be that you or not) can as well get the fuck out right now and save themselves some time.

If you dislike specific comments in a thread, take the time to call them out (or debank them), or upvote comments doing so.

If you dislike the content of the front page, upvote better posts.

Like it or not, those conspiracy theorists are creating actual content for this site, while all you are doing is bitching about them.
Ironically, the very solution to this would be for you to create and upvote better content.

I'm not defending some of the blatant antisemitism around here, but...

Why join the site at that point when there are many other social media sites available that don't have this problem?

Because some people are smart enough to realize that those problems would exist in any free-speech board, as long as antisemitism exists?
Those who fail to understand this are free to go back to their safe spaces - oh, wait, many of those who come here do so because they got kicked out of those spaces.

Others come here because, despite having some antisemites and a few total loonies, there is a large rational majority, much bigger than any other place that's free speech (excluding maybe www.gab.com).

1) Identify division point (some people are ok with porn, others aren't).

2) Ask an "innocent" question as to the length of the boundaries related to this point ("So no porn allowed? Maybe just a bit? How about tits only?").

3-a) Get sympathetic response, push the boundaries farther, repeat the above (on a seemingly unrelated account) later on.
3-b) Get hostile response - wait a few days, then go cry about "the uncivil community" for defending its rules and their boundaries with passion.

Whether he did it on behalf of others or for his own coomer agenda is a different question, but the fact remains.

[–]Extract 13 insightful - 2 fun13 insightful - 1 fun14 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Here's a nice reply from the article you linked last, which applies to pretty much everything you said:

The author confuses a symptom with a cause.

So called Elite schools have Legacy Admissions so that alumni-donors can get their kids in. It is necessary for the school’s pocket book. Thus the root-cause is the “Privilege of Prior Privilege” not any current religious or ethnic bias. And, past conditions were driven by “Privilege of Cash”. Massive “Student Aid” packages are a fairly new phenomenon that has created its own problems.

Correlation != causation.

So far, from what you've written, the only point that can be made is that Jews are good at exploiting corrupt systems (which America has been for looooong before the Jews "took over").

So, any actual points?

[–]Extract 13 insightful - 3 fun13 insightful - 2 fun14 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

On a slightly related note, it seems after the last ban-wave, quite a few of concern trolling posts like the OP have started appearing around here.

While I'm personally not in favor of the truly moronic anti-semitic comments that appear on some /s/all posts, it's still crucial that the way they're dealt with is not removal, but upvoting comments calling them out instead.

The much more worrying trend is threads like this starting to pop up, especially from new accounts (who claim to be reddit refugees, but cannot be verified).

This is how hostile infiltration of any platform starts - we need to be extremely vigilant, and remind people of this very thing.
So far the users here have been calling out the bullshit - it's important we remember to not relent on this, as the shills sure as hell wont.

[–]Extract 12 insightful - 1 fun12 insightful - 0 fun13 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Actual reasons they choose antisemitism, over other made-up problems (such as "bigotry" or "homophobia"):

  1. It's a legit concern for most users here - a good contern-troll needs to offer at least a somewhat real problem, even when jumping to an intentionally bad solution.

  2. It's a division point between most moderate-right/center and some far-right groups, and as such, the propaganda paddlers are hoping to farther divide their opposition.

People like you need to understand that you aren't in war against DA JUICE, but are actually under assault by expert propaganda companies who know their audience to a T.

[–]Extract 11 insightful - 1 fun11 insightful - 0 fun12 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

You have to admit, though, it's at least on the ropes.
The next 5-10 years are going to be the most crucial in USA's history since WW2 (even more so than Vietnam), but unlike the previous times, this time, the peasants have no clear flag to rally behind - instead, the very war is over tarnishing that flag in their very home (sometimes literally).

And the problem is, most people do not see any clear way to fight back, since the enemy is organized while the resistance clustered are scattered all around, localized.

Honestly, I'm thankful to not live in the USA. If I did, however, the only thing to do (if your job/relationship status allows for it) is to move to a state which hasn't fallen yet, find same minded people, and regroup (either in an existing organization or starting a new one). Sadly, it's way too much work for most people - the current times made them spoiled, they want somebody else to solve all their problems while letting them "participate" by posting statuses on facebook or retweeting his hashtag.

That's because they are - actual far-right loonies supporting it is what makes this the (currently) most effective type of false flagging at the moment.
You just need a few dedicated accounts paddling this crap to either side (antisemitism vs SJW rethoric), and if it's allowed to stay and fester, the forum quickly loses legitimacy in the eyes of most users (see Voat).
This is probably the biggest strength of specific-interest forums like TheDonald.win - if you don't claim to be a free-speech forum, you can target those divisive shills at their roots.
On the other hand, actual free-speech forums rely on the users to constantly keep watch for those shills, which is much harder.

  1. Loaded Title - the title already implies everything on this sub is "Alt-Right", without the post providing any evidence that lead to the claim.

  2. Guilt By Association - when asked to define "Alt-Right", OP replies "Big corp censorship posts Anti- antifa/blm posts Gun rights posts Anti gender issues posts", implying that since some right people support those causes, everybody who does is "Alt-Right".

Note that this post is merely made to highlight logical fallacies used by OP, not accuse the user of using them as part of a shilling campaign.

Creating an independent community is always good, but I personally don't want to focus on a completely isolated forum.

What made reddit great was having all the communities in one place - suddenly discovering relevant subs on the front page, people linking to other subs on the same website, or even just being able to get useless internet points that were then relevant to the whole platform, just for posting a dank meme in a sub you liked.

I do wish you luck on your project, but I predict the above reasons - same ones as for reddit - is why saidit will keep growing far better than an isolated forum.

Feel free to crosspost memes from there any time, though!

Sorry, but "we" allow any kind here (which is not illegal) - this is literally the principle on which saidit is built on.

To OP - ignore the gatekeeping - post as many references to saidit on your sub as you can.
If you happen to moderate other subs, reference saidit there, too.
The more people understand this is now a viable alternative to reddit, the less power the soylent hipster fuckers that run that platform have.

"Hate speech" isn't heard because it doesn't exist.

It's a deliberately meaningless dog whistle invented by SJWs to label any speech they disagree with.
Notice how before the current generation of snowflakes, say, back in the 80th-90th (and most of the 00s), nobody used that made-up word, even in regards to neo-nazis (again, real ones, not the bastardized meaning of the word now) and the like.

Don't please - calling out those shills is extremely important, and if you stick your head in the sand, it wont make them go away - just let them post those threads with less opposition.

The best weapon against shills trying to fabricate problems is to take away any legitimate pretense they might have for those problems.

Now, they can no longer claim they only want the admins to censor others "because they don't want to see all those scare posts".
Of course, they can still claim more radical things, but it becomes much clearer to a neutral observer just how radical those demands are, and accept the shill for what it is.

On a related note (and don't answer this here, by the way), I really hope you guys have at least some of the heavy-duty user-behavior analyzers that current Reddit has - the kind that takes as input the login/view/upvote pattern of monitored accounts, and outputs the likelihood of it matching specific models (which are tuned to find shills, trolls, etc).

You should really focus on this (either development or improvement) if you hope this site survives, as at some point (once saidit is large enough) manually banning shills is going to become impractical, while letting them brigade unchallenged is even worse.

The front page is shaped by user votes.
If it's "representing" saidit, it's because the majority is upvoting them over other posts.

As this and the other post calling such posts out has more upvotes, it also shows there is a majority of lazy fucks who could change what's on the front page, but the only thing motivating them enough to vote isn't good or interesting content - it is a post that bitches and whines about others.

Oh, so you are merely using CF?

From what you wrote earlier, I thought you actually wrote your own (or used open source) FW, complete with efficient ML models to study the attacker's patterns and get better over time.

Since you are actually just using all those features provided by CF, I got a question - what will you do if CF decides to stop protecting your your site? After all, they did drop 8chan (now 8kun) after enough pressure.
