I work at a public library. and I'm thankful for the opportunity!
I have 32 items checked out at the moment, lol. How 'bout you?

I've talked with a few people about the idea of libraries and how if they had not already existed for ages, there's no way they would be started today (a public place where you can just borrow things for free, because of taxes! because we're all in this together! shock! hell no! we hate sharing.) and about how the free flow of information has always been a battle - support your library : )

Duppy is a Jamaican Patois word of Northwest African origin meaning ghost or spirit. Much of Caribbean folklore revolves around duppies. Duppies are generally regarded as malevolent spirits. They are said to mostly come out and haunt people at night

According to Bunny Wailer (Quoted from the 'Marley' Documentary) "We rehearsed for about 2 years - we go sing at the park downtown for the people... we even go sing at the May Pen Cemetery for the duppy dem. His (Joe Higgs's) policy was that great stars mess up when they get afraid and nervous on stage, so he said if we went to the cemetery at say 2 o'clock in the morning, and sang for those people, then we can't be afraid when we hit the stage - and we went with Joe - sat on the graves and do it - and several times we do it until he thought we're brave enough now."
