[–]DrStrangelove 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Masks have nothing to do with public health, their purpose is entirely psychological. For those who understand this, being forced to wear one is a humiliation ritual.

For the true believers it's a placebo and security blanket. For the un-critical, indifferent majority it's a mild anoyance but "when in Rome..." For the insecure & self-conscious, it's a way to hide in public. For petty tyrants and insufffurable moral busyboddies, it's the perfect opportunuty to exert illigitimate authority, self rightous condemnation, and discriminatory segregation upon thier fellow man.

Masks are a wearable flag, a pledge of allegiance to the narrative, an in-group/out-group signifier, and a holy religious garment. They are a means of de-personalization, a symbol of submission, a subtle, subconscious AND literally in-your-face visual cue to remain afraid, and most of all a marketting gimmick for a diablical global genetic engineering experiment.

https://libertariannews.org/2012/06/27/man-eats-uranium-drinks-and-swims-in-reactor-water-ignites-plutonium-in-his-bare-hand/

In the video, you can watch Galen lick a pile of highly radioactive uranium off the palm of his hand and ignite a chunk of plutonium into a shower of flaming dust. The guy also drank reactor cooling pool water for fun and liked to go swimming in the pool to relax. He also spiked the basement flooring of his own home with enough radioactive material to send any Geiger counter reading off the scale to disprove the fear mongering surrounding radon at the time.

I got one last summer (Postmarket OS edition) and hocked it on Ebay a month later. I love the idea and the spirit of the project, especially the manual kill switches for the mic/radio/camera etc... but as a daily driver it was less than useable. An actual linux developer might have had a totally different experience. Ubuntu Touch seemed like the most stable OS, IMO. If it could sideload stock android or LineageOS I'd probly still be using it. The big seller for me was the USB-C hub to connect it with an external monitor and keyboard, a single device phone/desktop would be awesome.

Overpopulation is a myth created to further a global eugenics agenda. Even if it were a legitimate threat, the solution is expanding the frontiers of human habitation; seasteading and spacefaring, not culling and sterilization.

If you want more engaging content I suggest you provide it instead of concern trolling saidit to take a swipe at someone you dislike. I'm not a fan of the ethno-nationalist bullshit that pops up here (I appreciate that it can, just rather it didn't) which certainly has more potential to turn off new users than a sentimental meme, but I've never felt the need to call anyone out by name for failing to meet my specific content quality and engagement needs, or tell M7 & D3rr how to curate their own project. There were a number of hospitalizations and a few deaths in the late summer/fall of 2019 across the US attributed to e-cig vaping cartridges. The symptoms appeared a lot like covid; shortness of breath, scarred lungs, pneumonia. A medium sized media scare campaign lead to an FDA emergency ban on flavored vape juices. The culprit allegedly turned out to be Vitamin E acetate added to some black market THC marijuana cartridges, but the timing and similarity to covid is pretty eerie in hindsight.

After a quick read, that's basically what the EO does. Sites that editorialize/censor/ban user generated content will no longer be afforded the liability protection offered under section 230 of the communications decency act, and can be sued for libel/defamation. To retain immunity, sites may not censor protected speech.

Maybe I'm a cynic but his seems too good to be true, what's the catch? Will the FCC pull the teeth out of this EO in the rule-making process? What does this actually mean for freedom of speech online?

Basically all major social platforms have devolved into the paradigm of ideological content curation and algorithmic bias while maintaining the immunity section 230 provides. They brought everyone in on the assumption of a public commons with organic reach and then did a bait and switch for totalitarian control, in many cases ruining lives and businesses in the process. Obviously Minds has been first amendment focused since day 1 and always will be. The missing component here is the algorithms. How can the big tech companies prove they aren't manipulating without open sourcing their code? If people don't know they are being censored then how can it even be reported?

At first I thought the 5G connection was straight tinfoil. Now I'm thinking about stocking up on tinfoil. Wuhan was a pilot city for 5G rollout, and the Diamond Princess uses SES satellite internet services (60ghz range, 5g equivalent). Millimeter wave tech was originally developed by the US Military as a non-lethal weapon system (at 95ghz):

The Active Denial System (ADS) is a non-lethal, directed-energy weapon developed by the U.S. military, designed for area denial, perimeter security and crowd control. Informally, the weapon is also called the heat ray since it works by heating the surface of targets, such as the skin of targeted human subjects.

This one caught my eye regarding Epstein:

Do you really want to get to the bottom of this? I mean do you really, truly want to find out? Bruce King. Bill Richardson. Albuquerque Studios. Sunspot Observatory. Little St. James Island is a red herring; look into Zorro Ranch just south of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Short version: just a few months after the observatory got locked down tighter than Mike Pence’s asshole for a week by federal law enforcement, Jeffy’s secrets were headline news in Florida. The observatory is almost directly south of Zorro Ranch. What would be needed for a modern political/Hollywood blackmail op? A thick pipe: lots of bandwidth and storage. The kind of bandwidth and storage that’s needed for flawless observations of heavenly bodies. I’m saying the observatory, where one janitor was arrested for “using the computers for child porn,” was Epstein’s deadman switch, which is why no vast flood of blackmail info on celebs and pols hit the media when Epstein didn’t kill himself.

Launched from Cape Canaveral due East. A pilot flying over Sudan reported seeing a spiral cloud that may have been the upper stage dumping fuel prior to re-entry, and an anonymous gov official allegedly claimed it burnt up over the Indian Ocean. Interestingly, US authorities have or will not officially confirm the success or failure of the launch.

"The US government has not publicly stated if there was a failure of Zuma, and this secrecy has generated speculations on its purpose and its fate. A number of articles published by the amateur satellite tracking community stated that if the satellite was still in orbit or operating covertly, then it would likely be located visually. In the process of searching for Zuma, amateur astronomers instead found radio transmissions from IMAGE, a NASA satellite that was lost in 2005."

Probably not related, but it got my inner conspiracy speculator going. Maybe nothing, maybe the launch failure was a cover, maybe the spy satellite was really a weapons platform, maybe someone else intercepted it over Hawaii causing the alert. I'd wager if 9/11 had been thwarted at the last minute it would be remembered about as well as the Hawaii ballistic missile alarm.

On a less conspiratorial note, it's hard to imagine an entire state suddenly being told their world is about to end in 20 minutes. I have no idea what I would actually do in that situation, but the people of Hawaii, for better or worse, certainly do now. I think it would have to be on most peoples short list of most profound life experiences.

Five Days Earlier: "USA-280 was a classified United States government satellite that was launched by SpaceX on 8 January 2018. The specific agency in charge of the Zuma project has not been disclosed, nor its purpose. Unnamed sources have stated that the satellite was lost during deployment and re-entered the atmosphere, and independent investigations concluded that the spacecraft likely failed to separate from its payload adaptor." -Wikipedia

Not saying they're connected, curious timing though.
