Could you please send me one too? I messaged a mod a week ago but have not heard back yet.

Really hope so. I actually had never heard of Robert Galbraith before this whole controversy kicked off so you might be right.

Will have to give it another watch. It came out when I was a teenager and the scene where her boss/mentor undermines her in front of all of the other men in the room really hit me at the time.

I think she's done some valuable videos about female reproductive health so I was quite disappointed at this video. Until that point I had thought her channel was quite Terfy. I unsubbed after that.

What a shame.

She's already aware of Irreversible Damage and has been tweeting out excerpts from it to highlight the 'transphobia'. She totally rejects the book already so you won't make any headway with that approach, unfortunately.

Four year old video. I wonder how it is now?

I have (had) a friend who came out as a TIM about five years ago. Didn't really believe he was an actual woman but was happy to be supportive, especially as he had a fairly fragile mental state. Always used pronouns, validated his identity, offered to go shopping for makeup, etc. I would not have described myself as a TRA but I was firmly in the 'be nice' camp, and had almost convinced myself that there must be something to it because who would go to all the trouble of having surgery, changing their identity, taking hormones etc if they weren't actually suffering? Little did I know...

Losing respect for people by Barber_Acrobatic in GenderCritical

Yep. I especially lose respect for people who blithely condemn JK without even bothering to acquaint themselves with the basic facts of the situation. A couple of YouTubers I follow have come out with videos or statements condemning her, calling her a 'Piece of shit' or whatever but not actually addressing any of her points and it is clear they are just jumping on the bandwagon for social points without knowing the first thing about it. Just unsubscribed and don't even bother now.

Too late. I thought of that but didn't really see that it would make much difference. I did put 'Because Reddit hates women' as my reason for leaving though.

I agree. Reddit was the only social media I still used. I wasn't even a regular poster/lurker at GC, but this whole situation with JKR being harassed and then a whole bunch of pro-woman subs getting banned while violent porn and misogyny was left standing has just pushed me over the edge.
