Maybe they are intimidated like everyone else is. Women over seventy had difficult lives in that it was even more constrained than women like me in our sixties. I want nothing to do with transgender in my life at all. I consider many who have transitioned recently to be duped and persuaded to change their sex. I do not even agree with transitioning and I think people should be counselled to accept their born sex. I also consider the affects on natal women as so serious, I want nothing to do with any of them. Which is my choice. My son has ASD he needs a lot of guidance in life and anyone who said they had his medical consent to transition would be lying. He does not understand complicated life issues. I realise there are different abilities with ASD. In his case it is very challenging. I think many of them are mentally unhealthy, I have been around activists all my life, gay, lesbian, women, union, peace and no one is irrational and as hateful as this group. To be honest with you, to query your sex at a young age would make you an unhappy person anyway I think. The only nice ones I read are the detransitioners, who are just lovely young women. Occasionally I read a positive reasonable trans person, but it is rare.

Feminist since 1972, this is what I fought for equal pay, rape crisis centre, women's refuges, more women in govt, maternity care, reproductive rights, disability rights, sex orientation rights..gender is a word I never use, I say male or female sex. Apart from the fact that transexuals needed human rights protection, it is an area I as a reform feminist, had little to do with not being transexual. Reform feminists worked with govt to change legislation in regard to women's rights which was successful.I would also like to add something, women are not responsible for all the issues in the world, eg we are not wholly responsible for gender identity. Men and women created our world. So please do not dump it on us, thank you.
