Americans, why do you call it "4th of July" when you write date formats "Month/Day" supposedly because you all say "July 4th"? by teelo in AskSaidIt

I’m thinking it’s because they use the correct format DD/MM/YYYY for important things :p

Major Brexit milestone achieved - no Brexit extension possible! I really couldn’t be bothered going back over your comments but it was the thing about speaking different languages and the food smelling funny. You’re just being kind of a cunt for no reason but you’re also fully aware of that so calling that out, I’m pretty sure isn’t against the site’s rules.

I knew it wouldn’t take very long to ooze out the far-right racism you said wasn’t a part of this but slow clap man, we finally made it!

Anyways, aren’t people missing you over in Voat?

Good god you’re unpleasant. I’m actually thinking of all the working class people in the UK who are offered jobs in Germany, Spain, Portugal, France and every other European country they might want to work in. I’m really sorry you’re so angry at the world and I hope over time you come to realise the awesome benefits of life in Europe :)

Honestly all levels of class use the freedom of movement and you do know that’s true but are pretending it’s not. TyanAir flies anywhere in Europe and has made travel across Europe easy. Brexit is only going to remove opportunities for the British, not create them. But I hope that that £350M a week thing sure works out once Brexit goes through because... well it’s not looking very likely 😂

Man, okay I’ll be honest I’m checking out of this conversation because I’m not gonna keep commenting on and giving attention to some far right nonsense 😂 I left Reddit because of the extremism in both directions 😊

I think just generally freedom of travel and ease of living as part of Europe is just a better deal. The fact that million pound media campaigns were pushed to try and get Brexit to go through and the total shrug of the shoulders of both major political parties as to whether they should back it or not doesn’t suggest the highest amount of clarity from anyone.

Awesome! Unfortunately there’s nothing we can really do with all the waste it produced over the years except burry it deep into some mountain or underwater but one less of these monstrosities in the world is terrific news

I laughed at this headline and immediately realised how reassuring it was that I was on SaidIt. If this was Reddit it wouldn’t be a BabylonBee article it would be NYT and there’d be people defending it in the comments. I love it here

I’ll be honest I really loved Almost Human on webtoon. From the outside it might seem woke (lesbian love story about a black and white character) but honestly it’s just beautiful. It’s sci-fi as well and aside from the art being gorgeous beyond belief, it’s generally really satisfying and is basically a love story between a very customisable Android and a very uncustomisable but still beautiful Apple

Yo, I’m new here! I’ve noticed there’s a weird push by some posters trying to move things more towards Voat but I’m hoping that that does settle down too. One thing I think would be nice is to see more subs population for things like movies and conics (personally) and the more our hobby subs develop, the more chance there’ll be to see things become more about peace and love

Well UK... we will miss you. There’s a lot of people who are attacking the UK saying we don’t need them in Europe and talking about his history of war but honestly, a great bunch of lads. I don’t think I agree with the language chosen by the guy in the video. The whole “liberal/conservative tears” thing is something I would like to see less of on the this site.

Anyways UK, sorry you’re going but you’re welcome back any time. And iirc there’s going to be more votes on this every few years anyways

I think it’s your choice if you want to get a spotify or YouTube account but honestly, most people that use this service will have either one or both of those things so will probably be the way things go
