I heard in RTIA when the uncle of the killer's wife was interviewed that he will always bring her and their daughter whenever they will argue with Sonya, hence the reaction, not even a flinch, from that kid.

You can hear at the end that the kid shouted "My father is a police man", the mother, named Sonya sings a line from a song which is "I don't care". The police man then said "Gusto mo tapusin na kita?" (Do you want me to end you?) then proceed to shoot both on their head with a double tap. This is how the police in Philippines always resort in violence, leaving many citizen dead, as their supreme leader said so.
