Unpopular opinion: The whole drama, yes, you heard me, the whole drama over r/askgaybros is so dumb and silly, it feels like a bunch of chronically online people fighting. I'm going to say something about this. I'm a relatively new member, I only joined this forum 3 months ago and although most posts have been great with little to no actual hatred, I noticed that there are a LOT of posts about harmless things. Like, why the hell are there posts about lonely transwomen and transmen talking about their future boyfriends/girlfriends? That's just plain weird. I repeatedly see them here and I just...what the hell? Now, I hate transgenderism and I'm always against it, but I don't exactly hate transgenders and I just don't hate on them for no reason, I posted a bunch of stuff here but they were actual gross things from the trans community like rape, abuse, sexism, delusions...etc not things about "I want my boyfriend to be gentle and talk sweet to me blah blah blah!!" Who cares if no man talks like that? Why are we posting harmless and innocent things?

Just the last week, there was a post about a woman suffering from gender dysphoria lashing out at her own vagina, someone shared it here and some people accused her of "internal misogyny"?? and "encouraging women to hate their genitals"? What the fuck? Why are we making up things? It was just one single harmless vent post and she didn't encourage anyone to hate anything, it's just gender dysphoria. People with genuine gender dysphoria and mental breakdowns should be sympathized with, not mocked and posted here.

2 months ago, there was a venting post about a man who decided to "transition" and he was upset that his girlfriend decided to leave him because of it. It was posted here and some people already accused him of being "controlling" and things like that even though he explained that he understands her decision and he just wanted to vent about it on the internet because...duh, anyone would be upset if their SO leaves them! There was no red flag in his post and yet people mocked and insulted him here. This is just...no, just no! We shouldn't post things just because whoever made them is transgender, we should post things ABOUT transgenders. Normal things shouldn't be mocked.

I think this forum is overall chill and cool, I don't see misandry or misogyny or anything like this, heck I barely see any 4chan-level of hatred against transgenders (like slurs and death threats and stuff) no matter how shitty they are but posts like these, things like this piss me off tbh. I really hope people here stop doing it, it only gives a bad picture about the place.

There are more and more important things to be posted here.

I think those "drop the G" "Drop the L" "Drop the B" are nothing more than attempts by T to cause conflict and infighting inside the LGB community to drive the attention away from them.

God, I don't know why r/LGBT likes to suck racial minorities' dicks. I'm definitely 100% for racial equality but all that I see there on top of constant trans validation is bashing on white people (ESPECIALLY white men) and ridiculous demands or history-changing attempts from people of color.

Seriously, I can't count posts and comments I read that said "having a race preference is racist" on r/LGBT and they all got upvoted, what the fuck? There was also a black dude who kept whining about how white dudes don't want to date him and that they "must fix their racism" or some shit like that and ALL replies (except 2 comments which were downvoted to oblivion, btw) supported him and enabled this gross thinking.

What's with queer people and entitlement? Why do they always go hand in a hand? People DON'T want to fuck you, and they can refuse to fuck you for ANY reason they want, whether the reason is that you have a dick or that you are a different race, and as long as they respectfully reject you, you are not entitled to sex. Why can't people in these trans-infested places get this? You are NOT racist if you don't want to date a black dude, you are NOT a bigot if you are gay and you don't want to date someone with a vagina/dick, period, no questioning, personal preferences are personal and you don't get to discuss what someone else likes.

I know that rejection sucks, nobody likes to be rejected, but we have all got to live with it. You don't get to make up "excuses" or even argue with it, if you're rejected just move on, if you don't and you keep playing victim then rejection would only lead to more rejection in the future. I was just expressing my surprise because the post is 4 months old and mods don't delete or moderate old comments, it surprised me that right after I posted it here it got removed just the next day which means that some people here are using this site as a way to report "problematic" comments not to mention that the original comment wasn't even offensive not even a bit so I have no idea why the hell the mods removed it.

The way that I see it is that it's true, there are differences in treatment and double standards between men and women. As an example, forced draft, men shouldn't be forced to fight or do anything just because of their gender.

However, the solution isn't to limit women's rights or take them away. The solution is to apply equality. Give women the right to abortion, they deserve it and need it BUT also apply draft for them because it's not fair to use men as cannon fodder just because of their gender. Also, ban genital mutilation for men, it's disgusting.
