It is right that humans can comminicate a few things via smell, but we don't have phermones per se. For exemple, a dog is able to tell the breed, sex, health, emotional status and much, much more just by smelling a marking left on a tree. Humans can't do that much and that's why it's generally said that we don't have phermones.

It's difficult to build a long-lasting, stable relationship and future with someone if they struggle or refuse to communicate at all.

You did put it better than I could, this is the truth that I have been refusing to see this whole time. I was in denial and thinking that all of this would magically fix itself after a while and go back as it was before. That didn't happen, but I can't stop wondering if I also bear a share of the blame by not telling her exactly how upset her behavior made me. Would we have been able to work through this issue and grown closer as a result? Would it just have been complicating an already rocky relationship and quickened it's demise? This is the sort of questions that makes my grief even more complicated.

Might sound like a silly question, but any chance she might have gotten sucked into a cult a few months ago? A MLM company?

I don't think she got into a cult nor an MLM, but something felt a little off about it. She got it from a friend and classmate of hers, and from that she got the offer until she began working, it took four days. After that, I didn't hear from her for like a month. No calls, no texts, not even a message on Snapchat. I don't know what happened, but something about it feels fishy.

My girlfriend broke up with me little over a week ago, and it still hurts like hell. She was moving away to begin her studies and we both felt like long distance wouldn't work out. The thing is, I had anticipated that this would happen. She had grown incredibly distant during our last months together and even took a summer job, in a another city, stretching the entire summer, without telling me. We had already made plans for the summer, so I got quite hurt when I heared that she had tossed them all aside to take this job. (To make it worse, I heard about her getting the job from her mother as she was asking me for more details about it, not from her.)

I'm just very sad, a little hopeless and more angry then I thought I would be. My sister keeps telling me that she was no good for me and that I should find someone better, but I saw a future with this girl. Do any of you have any tips on how to move on?

We might not change each others mindsets while discussing, but I have learned much about my own opinions when I had to defend them in a fair discussion. I had to reflect on why I believe in certain things and that sometimes ended up cementing the things I already believed in and other times not. (I have to admit, those sorts debates helped me to grow out of my very narrow SJW "Kill-anything-I-don't-agree-with-with-fire" mindset, so I might be a bit biased...) Goodbye and have a good life!

Well, there is MINIMAL differences between a female and male brain. This have been observed mostly in the distribution of white and grey brain matter and might be the reason that women, as a group, have it easier to multitask, while men, in general, have an easier time thinking abstractly. From what I have read, there's no parts in the brain or nervous system that looks distinctively different depending on your sex, so I suspect that this med student is grasping at straws to try and give the gender ideology credibility.

Do you think that these people would accept unisexual mosses as the same as biological human females? Why not classify EVERYTHING as female, since all cells almost exclusively go through the same mitosis and meiosis?!

A answer to your question about how reproduction works, with or without reproductive/sexual organs. There is two kinds of reproduction, asexual and sexual. Asexual reproduction is common amongst cells, plants and a few selected breeds of animals (jellyfishes is one example). In that kind of reproduction, the organism will copy their entire genome and then pass it on to their offspring. The opposite of asexual reproduction is sexual reproduction. Here, two individuals exchange genetic material so their offspring gets a new, unique genetic make-up. This kind of reproduction is more common with more complex animals (including animals). For sexual reproduction to work there must be two distinct reproductive organs, ovaries and testicles, involved in the progress. Humans have at no point in the evolutionary tree been asexual, but once apon a time, (We are talking 2 billion years ago.), one of our ancestors did reproduce in this manor.

I am sorry but to be honest I'm not quite sure. All I know is that the author is quite off in her definition of bioessentialism. It's not so much of assigning worth to biological reality, and more of expecting a certain behaviour from a certain individual. (A prime example is to expecting women to "act like women" just because they were born female and vice versa with men.)

You are almost right but not quite. Bioessentialism is the theory that the behaviour/traits of an individual is determined by their genes/biology. According to this theory, the environment is completely irrelevant for how the individual will choose to act. There is still much we are unsure about, but what we do know today is that both the genetic makeup AND the environment play a part.

I did the same thing when I was in my early teens. I tried so hard to like men, only to release that I never would be able to. At least not in the way that I liked other women in.

If my course book about evolution weren't so god damn expensive, I would hook up people like this to it. Then they could see for themselves what science says about sex (only two), infertility (will still be classified as the sex the individual was born as) and clownfish (an interesting and fascinating exception).

We demand an end to ongoing studies and investigations on things we already know to be true. We know police brutality targets QTBIPOC populations. We know that environmental collapse is imminent. We know that our nation was built on genocide. We have been given clear attainable calls to action from Black Lives Matter and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.<

Ok, that is not how science works! Black lives matter was an American thing, so you CAN'T just assume that things should look the same in other countries. You need to preform studies to know how big the problem is in your country and then work to solve it if it is. And another problem of not doing any studies, is that then the problem gets so much harder to solve. If you don't know how big the problem are right here, right now, you don't know if the actions you put in to solving it actually has an effect or not!

One of my closest friends are a "true" asexual. She is completely inndifferent towards sex and romantic relationships and has been all of her life. I thought that she was a fellow lesbian for a while, cause we both expressed such a disconnect from our peers when it came to relationships with the opposite sex. Later, I understood that she holds the same attitude towards relationships, regardless of the sex of the other person involved in it. It is for people like her that the label asexual should be for. Not for identity tourists that wants to collect oppression points.

When you look at the chemical structure of breast milk, it will change as the baby grows. At first, it will be a thick, fat milk, full to the brim with nutrients and other things the baby needs to survive their first weeks. You could say that it's a health boost that the mother gives her baby. Later, it will become a thinner milk, that satisfy the baby's hunger. The formulas is a imitation of this late-stage kind of milk, which means that the babies that only get feed formula misses out on the natural health boost.

Actually, the Mass Effect series did this really well. Depending if you played a male or female Shepard, different people would be interested in you. Most of the romances are straight, but Liara and Kayden are bisexual and in the third game, there is a lesbian and a gay man that only will be interested in you if you play as the "right" sex. You can't turn them, they just won't be interested in you. It still suffers from the EA-romance formula, but it respects the characters' sexualities.

What they don't need is to be sucked down a rabbit hole like this.

Death Note is actually a brilliant story, despite it being an anime. It explores themes of justice, right and wrong and how absolute power slowly corrupts a person from within in a very clever and fun way. If it had been released as a book series or a tv show, I believe that people that are hesitant about watching anime would really enjoy the story.

Hi! I can really relate to that feeling of loneliness or otherness in a group of straight girls. What I usually do in situations where I'm not comfortable coming out, is that I tell them about that cute girl I meet, except that she is a cute boy when they hear the story. That has often worked out pretty well for me, and I hope that it can help you get out of uncomfortable situation a little less panicked.

Has anyone else noticed this? When they talk about us (actual women and lesbians) we are "non-men", but when a man decides to transition, he is not becoming a "non-man". He is ALWAYS a woman, or in some fucked up cases a "girl". According to the TRAs, a man has more right to the word woman then a actual woman... It makes my blood boil whenever I notice this.

Her children won't learn about how a healthy relationship works by this. All they will know is that consent is something that can be ignored/manipulated. I get sad when I hear people talk like this.
