Yeah I can't imagine a screeching drag queen changing hearts and minds of conservative America. It's difficult to parse how social change comes about it but it usually comes with the exact opposite of open social transgressions. It comes from convincing people that whatever you want isn't actually going to ruin society. Two men or two women loving each other is a pretty simple concept. Breaking social norms for no real purpose is only going to piss off people you will need to convince to accept you. Assuming acceptance is really the goal anyway.

Most men here don't look any better than the women, and I know plenty of short guys who do well with women, guys who aren't even doing that well for themselves to be honest. What they should do is pick up some weights, work a on decent career, and get themselves out there. Most people end up with people similar to themselves. If a man doesn't like 'any of the women he can get' he needs to look inward and make himself into a man that is desired.

I don't get how these relationships go on for so long. I read one post on some gay sub where a woman wanted to be nonbinary and made a post crying about how her straight boyfriend still saw her as a woman. I got banned for commenting that of course he saw her as a woman, he's straight. These people want to take hormones and undergo a milieu of surgeries to match a delusion and expect a partner to warp their whole sexuality around it too.

I don't think I buy that. Take hockey for instance, a lot of the same build, strength, and stamina requirements of football but radically different demographics of players. The Black kid who dreams of making it and becoming a famous NFL or NBA player is a trope for a reason. They see people like them who made it and they pursue it like crazy, its no wonder they are over represented in certain sports. Or the fact that Black people live mostly in urban areas, where Basketball as a sport dominates, or the South, where high school football teams can have stadiums that make colleges blush.

I recall reading how ancient Greek cities would specialize in certain weapons. It might start that one guy from Rhodes becomes a famous bowman, so it comes that Greeks elsewhere expect Rhodians to be expert Bowmen and Rhodians themselves idolize their local hero and strive to be like him. Cultures often adopt and reinforce stereotypes in a positive way.

The Greek letter Omicron just the letter O. It is not written with a pupil nor was it ever, and the Greeks got it from the Phoenicians. The Jews also just happened to use the same letter, as well as the Romans, the Arabs, and ourselves. The variants are named according to the Greek alphabet in order. The only conspiracy with the letters is that they skipped Xi because it shares a name with a certain world leader.

I think the article is insinuating that TQ+ are those living out a lifestyle choice calling themselves ace demi heteroromantic queer nonbinaries, all of which are 'lifestyle labels'. It says 3/4 are searching for meaning, and kind of implies that 1/4 aren't and are probably actual LGB people living normal gay lives.

All that said I don't believe nearly 1/3 millennials are buying into this crap. I'm assuming that's just bad polling data. A lot of these TQ people are terminally online and skew any kind of online poll.

No shortage of people here would say there never were 5 million covid deaths either. Mask and quarantine mandates, early retirements, and market uncertainty are the cause of most of our economic troubles, deliberately throwing a minority in camps most people already did not like causes none of these issues. Besides most of the deaths were in the east and occupied countries, so the Germans were unaffected while the locals had much bigger problems to deal with.

I would start by saying basic training is a natural petri dish for diseases. At reception you live in bays with 30 people, each person from a random part of the country. Then you are part of a company of several hundred people and spending most of the first week in massive lines surrounded by people. Then after the first week you get assigned to a real company and get scrambled with a new random set of 100-200 people, some of these are the same as from reception, not all, now living in bays with 60 people to a room. There was some regulation that you self quarantine for two weeks before shipping. I was never told, the day I shipped my recruiter handed me a piece of paper stating I had been quarantining and I just went along with it. I assume most people did the same.

We were supposed to be tested every 2-3 weeks, but when we came back from Christmas block leave they stopped testing anyone. When we asked the drills why our testing was suddenly canceled they said they didn't know but seemed annoyed by it. I can only assume the quarantine camps became full to capacity, they were already getting overloaded when I was in just before leave. Of course most people only lost their sense of taste and smell, maybe tiredness and a cough and the cold air started to sting their lungs, though I was asymptomatic. The whole thing was a joke really, in covid camp you wrote down your own temperature and symptoms each day, so you could write whatever you wanted to show you were healthy at the end of the two weeks.

This was still months before the vaccine, but we got all the regular shots. A lot of people in quarantine were picked up from reception, so not all of them had their shots yet. The guy who was hospitalized from quarantine was taken in about 2 weeks after the shoots, the guy who collapsed in the bathroom about 2 months later. We also heard the ambulance come to covid camp every few days to pick someone up, though I didn't personally know anyone else who was taken or how sick they actually were.

You really have no idea how effective some local guys with rifles are against an invading army. Especially against Russia, which also operates with a draft with a ton of young men with questionable morale and experience. If any man in Ukraine does not want to fight they can quite literally just walk to occupied territory, it can be easily found to the North, South, and East. Even in Ukrainian propaganda and news reports you can see male civilians hiding in underground bunkers with women and children, I doubt they have enough arms to draft every male in that age even if they wanted to for the foreseeable future.
