Yes, happened to me all the time! I didn't understand what was going on, then I found out and unsubscribed from those subs. I posted often in r/dogfree - yes, I admit to it - and was hated on for that. Final straw came when gore subs got banned recently. No more Reddit for me.

I never used Digg and only got into Reddit in May of 2017 under a different username than this. I got into a lot of keyboard spats with users though so abandoned that username for a new one. Then I lost the password - on purpose, really - but wound up creating a new account. After the Fall of r/watchpeopledie, among others, I've not been back to Reddit & never will return. What a relief to be here!

I often wish I'd never heard of Reddit. From the start - for me - it was power tripping mods, over-the-top racism & sexism, and blatant bigotry. I deliberately lost the password to one account, then created another. Finally, I had enough and joined Tildes and Saidit, as I was having a bit of trouble with my own version of Reddit (too poor to get that going). Tildes isn't free of censorship so I limit my time there. I like Saidit, and hope it doesn't go the way of Voat (a despicable site).

I belonged to a few very controversial subs, two of which have been banned. I also lurked in such subs as r/letsnotmeet, r/creepyencounters, r/earthporn, and r/morbidreality. Not sure I'd want to moderate, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing similar subs here.

I lasted just over a year and a half on Reddit. I was sick of the blatant racism, sexism, and other bigotry within a month of joining. I'm hopeful that Saidit will be a much better community than that cesspool. Glad to be here and I hope I can be of service if improvements are ever needed.
