Today on reddit I posted 3 comments on a post on the front page. They were deleted by mods, and to verify my account, I have to send them a picture of my forearm showing my skin color. If my skin is not dark enough, I don't get approved. by magnora7 in MeanwhileOnReddit

I have also dealt with this from the very same sub. As far as I know, there is no equivalent of it on r/WhitePeopleTwitter

I was commenting on a post that had nothing to do with skin colour at all, it was to do with masks and someone who refused to wear one. My comment was swiftly removed by a bot because I was not a verified member (despite being subbed) and only verified members can comment on posts with the flair "Country Club Only"

As to what the "Country Club" is, when it applies and for what reasons, I don't know. But I was told I had to send a picture of my forearm and username if I wanted to interact with any of these posts. The mods can seemingly apply that flair wherever they wish, even on posts that have nothing to do with black people in particular, and stop any non-verified members from voicing their opinion.

Someone else here mentioned this was segregation and I think I have to agree. I'm subbed to this subreddit, I enjoy their content and I regularly upvote and occasionally comment on their posts. And now, despite being a supporter of the subreddit, I'm not able to voice that support because I am not black. I didn't join that subreddit because it had anything to do with skin colour, I joined because I enjoyed the content on it. Fundamentally, isn't that really what forums should be about?

The same people who say we need to "stop with the anti-semitism" are the same ones who will support anti-White rhetoric as free speech by EuropeanAwakening in SaidIt

I'm all for freedom of speech, I just don't think we should dedicate a growing platform that is trying to encourage people away from Reddit towards hate speech. Because thanks to the default sub list as it stands, I think that's the impression some new users are getting.

Whilst I agree that porn can be damaging to development in high amounts, so can lots of things. Too much of one food group. Too much of one exercise. Too much sleep. Everything has its moderation levels and everything is fine in moderation.

I'm generally on the left in terms of my political views and this censorship is driving me crazy (probably the main reason I came to SaidIt, so I could see the opinions that were being uncaringly kicked to the side). I'm all for trans rights and giving trans people a voice but this is way too corrupt. Silencing people for expressing their sexuality, something they have no control over and is perfectly fine regardless of who they are attracted to, is totally backward. We don't all wanna live in your Orwellian 1984.
