According to this government website, Texas requires ID and confirmation of residency among a few other things to obtain the hunting license. A student ID only confirms that you're a student actively going to college or university. Students come from overseas on non-immigrant visas to pursue education, making that a somewhat useless form of voter ID.

I don't agree with a lot of socks' methods and dismissive attitude towards articles and sources that don't meet whatever personal moral high ground is there. I think it's probably better to look through a source completely to see if it links to an official study or shows data that I'm trying to find, no matter where it's from. I've been a little shit sometimes about that too though, so I can't throw too many rocks. Socks has been kind to me, and even apologized iirc, when I gave a source with sound information that he shat on. He was also went out of his/her way to make a thread requesting a NSFW label for specific posts (we have it for threads already) after I got onto him about posting a lewd Trump meme. That was deeply appreciated. Socks has also been a douche sometimes in replies. I'm pretty sure we all have. Anyhow, we don't all think in the same ways or draw the same conclusions. Something that seems like a shill to you may sound like gospel to him, vice versa. There are definitely shills here, some glowies too, but also just stubbornly differing opinions.

It's a shame that common parlance of "liar" and "shill" must be censored for the sake of the liars and shills feelz.

I think that's more because it just turns into a pissing contest a little too quickly and then the whole thread goes to hell in a hand basket. We're all guilty of that for the most part too, but it's just something we have to make sure to keep in check and don't do too often.

It made quite abit, so you'd be welcome to it. There were a few more things than just cheesecake, to be fair. I just looked up a few base recipes, decided on doing 1 and 1/2 C whole milk, 1 and 1/2C heavy cream, 3/4 C cane sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, maybe 1/2 tbsp lemon zest, ** 2 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tbsp peach preserves, a pinch of salt, and a diced up slice of cheesecake that had a few berries on top. It tastes pretty amazing, and is probably a blue billion calories per serving. If you have an ice cream maker or attachment for your mixer, you should try it.

This was the first time using the attachment, and when pouring the mix in it snatched my silicone whisk. I panicked, turned it up higher by accident, and then off-- the whisk was mangled but whole. Kitchen adventures.

No one criticizes third wave/intersectionality because they don't want to be seen as a racist or whateverphobe. Women criticizing Islam during the Bush era went South real fast, and you'll probably notice there was a rapid change in attitude. Saving face is stupidly important within women's spaces, and feminism is largely performative in the Western world.

I don't think it's smart to dismiss the possibility of subversion of movements. Let's look deeper. When exactly did it change? (You addressed part of this with second wave). When did all of these things start hitting an apex? Who ultimately benefits from all of this? Who is profiting from all of this? How did many of these laws come to be that got us here? Were they openly voted for by all? Or were they just sort of stuffed within the fine print within a bill? I don't think any of this would have gotten as far as it has if there wasn't money to be made.

I don't know that "master" is a good word for any governing force or entity with power. It indicates subservience in an unhealthy way, one that can't be questioned with critical thought. Big businesses aren't elected, but have seized power through corruption. Most western governments rely on election methods, corrupt methods or not, to place people into seats of decision making. These are people that are also upheld to the same laws that they helped to create, along with any laws before and after their installation. They're elected guardians, not really masters. At least that's how I see it.

Ok. An obligation is something that you feel compelled to do for the sake of 'x' reasoning. You feel obligated towards working a job that you do not want to perform for the sake of societal expectations within a particular sect of society. You show vitriol towards women in many instances, but I'll quote you here:

Society will always hold very high expectations from me and want me to give the fruits of my labor to them and to women. If you don't believe me, why are men almost always breadwinners and women, if they work, usually get a part time hobby job that's not serious about making income? Why are women always saved first from disasters? Why do women get handed everything in a divorce? Why do women only get 1/6th the prison time as men for the exact same crime? Why are men homeless but women cared for by society? Why are men considered creeps for the same things women are applauded for? Why does the man have to pay on the date? Why are men scolded for having personal issues but women are given support? Why are men always portrayed as workaholics but women as hobbyists and the ones making purchases (with mens' money usually)?

Below is translation of Plato's Laws, Book 1. This entire dialogue is an interesting read that discusses Crete in part. This isn't separated easily by paragraphs, but reading the entirety of it provides better context.

Aristotle regarding Crete, particularly a somewhat vague account of the legislator's methods of separation of men and women to reduce the amount of children had, and seeking "companionship" from other men instead. Part X, paragraph 3. He tends to reference Plato's Laws.

Nope. Anyone woman that you would end up with will be punished because you see them the way that you do, and having to put up with that combined with your emotional outbursts is not going to work out well for anyone that wants children. Women generally don't want a partner that is effectively a child. Get on disability, do things involving your interests, do whatever you want. Please don't seek out someone to have children with. No one wants to be stuck with another person that just sees them as an inconvenience and obligation. That's bullshit.

It's muscle. If it's physically uncomfortable, and you haven't done anything (ie: work out) to make it physically uncomfortable, there's something wrong with your body. It's extraordinarily useful. Skeletal muscle does more than just look swank and help your body with physical movement. It contracts to help circulation for not only blood products, but lymph (layman's: your body's defense fluid). It allows you to perform physical tasks with more ease than if you're female. We can work out and even roid up, but it will never be the same as male strength. Your basic physiology caters to this, with the male body even carrying more red blood cells than the female's to give extra oxygen. Your hearts are even larger. If you can't think of tasks that benefit from having more default strength than just blue collar jobs or military shit, you should probably start looking that up.

You are grossly, and I mean GROSSLY oversimplifying human female physiology. The uterus sits pretty much right over the bladder. If it's removed, along with the ovaries (main sex hormone providing component for females), you surge into early menopause. This puts you at risk for osteoporosis, your vaginal epithelium degrades, the natural vaginal pH increases and puts you at risk for infections, all of the other finely tuned processes going on get fucked up, and then you might be at risk for vaginal prolapse to top it off.

We have far more complicated social structures set up around the world than to reproduce. That's a base level evolutionary call that is ignored by plenty, and as higher thought creatures, we can make decisions beyond procreation.

Your physical appearance doesn't benefit women outside of us being impressed or repulsed, and us wanting to take those genes onward. There's a protection aspect of a masculine form, but we're not constantly in physical altercations in civilized societies. Why are you pissed about sexual dimorphism? You're not dying during childbirth. You're expected to do cool shit and then move on.

You jerk off and move on. It's genuinely that simple. Seek out having your testosterone levels checked. This isn't petty recommendation, it's out of concern.

Paying taxes is not enough to keep a country stabilized. That's pretty much the bare minimum contribution. If we're measuring in actual contribution towards society and towards the future of the country, aside from taxes and general wageslaving to keep everything moving, the majority of us aren't making discoveries or adding anything except for another unit that takes up space.

You're also dismissing Asian societies that managed to create stable first world civilizations that are not only mostly racially homogeneous (Japan is 98%), but non-white. Notice their birth rates are abysmal too.

When you live in a place that didn't have those "necessities" in the first place, you don't really know or understand what you're missing out on. We can say what we would have chosen, but we can't exactly ask them because they're long since toast. There's probably something to be said about having a chance to die in your own land among the people there, versus dying around an unfamiliar people treated worse than sentient oxen. You can look at their culture within Africa during that time and say that it's barbaric, I won't argue. I don't know what the dynamics were, if they were willing human sacrifices, if everything was entrenched in fear or a sense of duty, that's something that would require not only research but an examination of the bazillion different tribal practices of the specific tribes that came over to the US.

Would you rather be a slave in the Congo, or a slave in New York City?

Yes. My grandfather's family home and lifestyle growing up was not considered the norm. However, despite his situation being uncommon, I don't believe that it should be discounted because it proves that not even all white people were able to take advantage of everything on his list. There were still places that weren't privy to the modernities of most 1950s homes, and it's not necessarily because they weren't areas with industrious people.

His original comment:

Do you think if African slaves were dropped in the middle of an American forest, they would have came up with Democracy, roads, running water and electricity, two story buildings, farms, an army that uses muskets and cannons instead of spears, a public school system and police department?

Police departments, public education, electricity, and running water as we know it were not things to be taken advantage of during the era of slavery within the US. Muskets and cannons don't make for much appreciation when you're the cannon fodder. It doesn't matter if you're shitting in a bush or an outhouse if you're not sure if you'll even be able to eat from day to day to create said shit. They didn't come here for opportunity, they came here because they were made to, and weren't promised any of those things for themselves or their ancestors down the line. I would say they sort of paid for the opportunities they eventually got.

Are you proofreading your own replies? We didn't have running water during slave times, they had wells and poop troughs for outhouses.. My grandfather's in his mid 60's, white, and bathed in the creek as a child. The same creek they kept their butter cold with, because all of the glories of what we think of when we bring to mind the first world were not available like they are now.

Black Americans are left with two choices:

  1. Stop White Genocide in order to not lose their victim status when Hispanics take over

Ok, why would you expect an entire race of people to stop anything at all? Outside of criminals, that's not something they're actively doing, and genocide isn't typically the fucking plan for criminals. The entire group of American black folks are not standing there with coat hangers at OB clinics that white people attend, they're not barring them from fertility clinics, standing in front of their bedroom doors and telling them they can't pregnant, they're not controlling their bank accounts and saying they just can't afford to start a family.

I don't get your tactics here.

They were replaced. By nature of death and birth, everyone was. Then slowly it became the status quo to educate everyone and provide the tools that go hand in hand with information that allows for independent thought in more applicable ways.

If you're not sheeple, you would understand that men, in whatever civilization or whatever culture aside from pacifistic ones, usually seek out more space and places to expand their civilizations towards. It's conquest, and can even happen from group to group within areas with zero white people. Is it right? I mean, it's pretty shitty for those being exploited, killed or having their lives/culture destroyed in the process. Ask your fellow menfolk that have a say-so to stop being hellbent on power, land and wealth. I'm sure they'll totally listen.

Sure they could. Millions of Europeans who came to the US with nothing besides their family and culture created the wealthiest nation in the world

By exploiting Indigenous people and Black people.

You can call it exploitation, but the grand majority of immigrants that came over here, no matter their origin, came to look for a better life. Other than those with wealth and power, it's reasonable to assume that those immigrants weren't exactly told that they were going to be fucking over other people. They saw it as a way out of their former lives and did as people trying to survive do, and likely without rationalization. Most of those people were uneducated as fuck, and you're trying to apply a system of reasoning towards a state of mind that dismisses it.

You're right, the South literally fought a war to preserve their right to keep slaves, which means slave labor was TOTALLY unnecessary. It was just so important they were willing to literally murder for it.

What do the people do when they're convinced by their leaders that something is worth fighting for, despite the masses likely not seeing a single benefit? They fight. They fight out of perceived duty to the land or they're conscripted because that's where they live, and that's who they're led by, and they're dragged into the petty power play of rich assholes that don't want to pay for a damn thing. They were the disgustingly rich CEOs of massive companies of their time and did everything to convince the regular wagecucks that free labor and treating people like workhorses was an amazing idea that was great for the whole land, that's the best way that I can think of a linear example.

SNP runs quite a bit deeper than just general ethnic analysis, but there are SNPs that they're able to use to relate towards ethnicity. It's like parsing out each little code within your genetic makeup instead of a broad picture. Ethnicity analysis is the cliff notes version, from what I understand. I haven't looked into pair bonding aspects of it, as that seems like it would be more impacted by oxytocin (which is fucked during cesarean procedures iirc-- but that's birth and I'm getting OT). You've got several different subsects of belief systems with both feminism and with MRAs. People start their own areas of movements when they believe in some of the core concepts but don't agree with other concepts or perhaps even the type of people attracted to the movements. The best example that I can use that's similar would be how Christianity broke off into a blue bazillion different religious movements based on interpretation. You have these movements and they start out as one thing, but evolve to contain a whole lot of other things and the original points end up blurred in translation. I don't want to blame feminism overall for something that ended up being bastardized along the way by those that were louder, or maybe had more influence or power.

I would like to think that there are a large number of MRAs that don't want this for children, their own or in general. Same for feminists. The reality is that we're all being shit on, both sexes, all of us. We're being kicked and distracted too much to know when to punch upwards instead of outwards and things are coated in so many layers of fine print that it's hard to discern where to point fingers.

Now kids are going to be caught up in all of this very much adult bullshit. How did society become so trusting and just start ignoring better judgment altogether?

It's 9 weeks, so compressed slightly. I think the instructor is busy, because she waited until 3 hours before the assignments were due to answer someone else's questions there unless you just zip through everything else otherwise. Yeah, these include several step long conversion equations, specific heat, etc. Group settings for that sort of thing seem to overcomplicate things. Bonus, we get something like 2 minutes per question on actual quizzes, and I can barely get all of that written out cohesively in that time when I'm on top of things. I understand what you mean, and I tend to be pretty stubborn about asking for help too. There's just this thought that if I keep digging I'll find a way towards a solution, and after a while that's true. The time dedicated towards looking for it though ends up building up after a while though.

This was the first class I've taken for many, many years that I've struggled so hard in. After sending her an email requesting further learning material or just general calculation set-ups, letting her know that I was needing more she'd told me to post it on the discussion board and "hang in there". I managed to look her up and find that this is evidently not just a me problem entirely, and that other institutions that were taught at where student reviews were posted showed abysmal reviews nearly exclusively. You're probably right though. I really didn't want to bring the institution into this, but it could screw over the entirety of the work I've put in otherwise, and reaching out was kind of fruitless.

Thanks for letting me whine.
