90% of reddit is either to young and inexperienced, or too stupid to realise how it works. They don't see that they're having a carrot dangled in front of them, and as soon as enough of them go for the carrot to allow the system to be changed without major discourse, those holding the carrot change the rules completely in their favour. All of a sudden they're left shocked and bewildered with nothing, their beloved powers that be turned against them, and their opposition that saw the whole thing coming. The thought of that is too negative so they don't even consider it, since they're programmed to live in a world where truth is subjective.

I've revived r/BanBigMouth here on SaidIt. It's insane that Reddit banned a subreddit dedicated to exposing a cartoon that sexualizes children. I'm taking mod applications. by [deleted] in whatever

Don't be fooled, the lack of attention span we find in most people was by design. All so eventually they can just state YES or NO and the masses blindly follow without the need for an explanation.

A lot of what Snopes claims to debunk relies on pedantics and or semantics. Problem is your average brain dead moron will look, see a big red X and take it as gospel. As you say, if you just read a little further into things, most of the time you'll find that their justification is a very thin veil of an opinion written as fact. Then agai, their opinion as fact is the main strategy of the far lefts programming.
