The idea that human races don't exist has never held up to serious scrutiny. Ed Dutton just posted a good article at Unz about this. The fact that different human populations differ in archaic human ancestry is just treated as a curiosity by the leftist academic and media establishment. You don't have to be consistent when you're the one controlling the narrative

Intelligence has a 40-50% genetic basis

It's closer to 80% in adulthood

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heritability_of_IQ#Estimates

Various studies have found the heritability of IQ to be between 0.7 and 0.8 in adults and 0.45 in childhood in the United States.[18][24][25] It may seem reasonable to expect that genetic influences on traits like IQ should become less important as one gains experiences with age. However, that the opposite occurs is well documented. Heritability measures in infancy are as low as 0.2, around 0.4 in middle childhood, and as high as 0.8 in adulthood.

There's a ton of studies on HBD out there. IMO, we probably don't need more studies than we already have to support the concept of scientific race and important racial differences. But more is always better. You can find a lot more here

Yes. I believe Indians have the highest per capita income in the US of any group (think software engineers, etc.)

Even if the average IQ of India is fairly low, there's still 2 billion people in India. That means there's a shit ton of smart Indians. And we're importing these people en masse into our countries. I've also heard that IQ varies a lot by caste in India, which I think is probable, but I've never seen the evidence for this

[–]AltBaseGuy 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Four main reasons you can't add Holobunga material to AltBase

1) Its an extremely information-loaded, arcane topic I don't know enough about. So, I can't effectively moderate the related content

2) This topic always sidelines others topics. I know that if I open it up to the Holocaust, we're going to get dedicated users who only that post that content, drowning out other new entries and content

3) The topic turns off a lot of potential converts. A lot of HBDers, libertarians, and others who reluctantly support pro-white politics desperately do not want to be seen as "Nazis", and Holocaust revisionism is decidedly Nazi (in the public perception). AltBase might be ignored or dismissed by these people who we want to attract

4) Holocaust revisionism makes us a bigger target. I don't want to give JIDF another reason to come after this project

These are all especially relevant in the early stages of the project while I'm the only administrator and the platform is vulnerable. Allowing Holocaust revisionism is just not a good way to start, in my opinion

A download feature is something that has been requested before. I'm not exactly sure how this would work, since downloading all the files linked in AltBase I estimate would be well over 1GB, and a lot of the links are indirect (e.g., "Psychology Paper 1" links to the abstract, but you'd have to click the 'download' button on the site to get the paper). I could potentially make the database itself downloadable - but it would be useless to people without the appropriate software to read/use it. I'd also prefer not to do that since it could create vulnerabilities for the site

Long story short its just something I missed when I coded that feature a few months ago and I have to manually to un-ban new users. It isn't hard, and I just did that, so check to see if your access works now.

We had four new users sign up in the last two days, which is unusually high (maybe people creating multiple accounts to try and get around the account creation issue). Let me know either way if your access does/doesn't work. I plan to patch this in the next update.

I mostly agree with what you say, but I think this discussion is a bit overly-technical. For most fields ("columns", yes). I just used varchar for most of them and might amend them later or add more columns. For now, it's just a test/sandbox data set. The immediate goal is just to get a starting data set for these three dimensions (person/institution/list) and then flesh out what we really need from there. Things like birth or death date don't practically matter for how we want to use the data.

The starting data set is basically done, which I'm relieved to say, since it took me a lot longer than expected. Fun facts: There are no more than 7,376 individuals in VDR's list (some of which are duplicates or nicknames and need to be reviewed) and there are 23,258 discrete individual-institution relationships. The average person appears three times, and the person with the most appearances is Henry Kissinger, at 112 (plus more, once we count the "Henry K." s discretely, as these could also refer to Henry Kravis or Henry Kaufman, who appear 20 and 2 times, respectfully) I already counted all Jews with an appearance over 2 times, imperfectly, but I estimate that Jews account for about 22% of the overall representation of the 23,258. Researching some of these individuals has led to some interesting discoveries - for instance, did you know that Sumner Shapiro, Rear Admiral in the US Navy (a rare case, Jews almost never appear in US military positions), was instrumental in getting Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard's security clearance? Although he later stated

"We work so hard to establish ourselves and to get where we are, and to have somebody screw it up... and then to have Jewish organizations line up behind this guy and try to make him out a hero of the Jewish people, it bothers the hell out of me".

Really interesting stuff. Wish I could catalog everything at once

There are a few glaring shortcomings of VDR's list. The first is that there is an almost complete lack of interest in the media industry, which you think would be of paramount importance in assessing who is behind manufacturing the false and obviously biased narratives we see every day, and consequently why the population behaves like it does. Especially if your focus is on "conspiracy research" and bias against things about elites getting exposed, journalists assassinated, etc. Ofc, the basic answer to "who owns the media" is "Jews" (60-80%), and VDR has a very ant-anti-semitic slant so this aligns to his complete disavowal of "holocaust denial" and his very bad justifications (practically dogwhistling) for not investigating it:

Ever met a Nazi or Holocaust denier in real life? Most haven't, but online, they're everywhere. Ignore the many discussions about concentration camp Auschwitz. Instead, read about Babi Yar and the eastern European extermination camps of the Nazis and the Ustasa, or look up the visual evidence. You'll get the point.

Jew-hating - in its "deniable" form or not - is super-effective at pushing ordinary people out of any conspiracy discussions and at forcing censorship measures. Thus, like an ever-spreading virus, it remains

I half-ways agree with the sentiment, but ultimately the truth just is what it is. I think VDR is on-the-level and not a Jewish shill, but sometimes he begs the question.

As of now, most all of the data is in the database and I'm trying to figure out how to present and expose it. I'm going to add more people that aren't just in VDR's list, notably from CoC, Dissident-Right circles, and the media. To start, I'll probably create new pages that have no links to them in the existing UI, but expose them here. This way, interested people who come here will have the link can check them out and give feedback, but they wouldn't otherwise be accessible to casual lurkers.

Much more I could write about a lot of stuff, but I wanted to give a general update. Very much appreciate your interest.

I think maybe explaining how the data will work might help you visualize.

Basically, "Instutions", "Individuals", and "Lists" are their own tables, and there will be different fields within those tables (e.g., the Individuals table will have fields like "name", "birth date", "death date", "ethnicity", etc.) Same thing with the Institutions table - "institution-type" (e.g., "Corporation", "Foundation", "NGO", etc.)

The Institutions, Individuals, and Lists tables will all have corresponding tables that "link" them to the others - e.g. 'individuals-institutions', 'individuals-individuals', 'individuals-lists', and 'institutions-lists'. Within each of these linking tables there will be a column or two that specifies what the relationship is. For instance, in the 'individuals-individuals' table, there will be a field like "relationship" in which you would tie Individual "Les Wexner" to Individual "Jeffrey Epstein" and say "Funder". That same field between George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush would be populated with "Father" or "Son". In the 'individuals-institutions' table, you would tie "Andrew Jassy" to institution "Amazon" and the "title" field would be "CEO". There might also be a "year_start" and "year_end" field in that table. Some fields would also be optional, depending on the table. For instance, in the table 'individuals-lists' Individual "Les Wexner" would be assigned to the List-item "Zionists" - and there probably doesnt need to be a lot of other fields or substantiating information for that. But there could be more, if we wanted them. Individuals, Institutions, and Lists will each have their own dedicated "view" (like ClaimView and ImageView works now) and the relationships to those things will appear like #tags do now - except ones that you can click on and navigate, so you can get more info on that person/institution/list (depending on which view you're in).

Actually, I'm not sure how helpful that is lol. Basically, I intend to satisfy the desired requirements you lay out here. The database tables might seem complicated, but they aren't actually, and, as a normal user, this won't be apparent in a (hopefully intuitive) UI. I don't know exactly how the pages will work yet, but, to start, individual items probably won't have their own dedicated pages (unique URLs). Instead, they would need to be searched for in the database (just as images and claims do not have thier own "page" right now.) That is to say, there will not be a static url for each entry (contrast to wikipedia, that does have a URL for each entry). I recognize that is a drawback, but I am not sure what else to do in lieu of not creating literally thousands of individual pages for the entries I am adding.

As usual, this has turned out to be a lot more work than I originally expected. Van Der Reijden has so many different formats and ways of referring to the same person. Some duplicates and misspellings, too. For instance, Zbigniew Brzezinski has like five different ways he is referred to - e.g. "Zbignieuw Brzezinski", "Zbig B.", "Zbig", etc. Also VDR will inconsistently put a title in front of a name (e.g. "Dr.", "Baron", "General"), and sometimes not. This isn't really an issue for people that "I know" but there are literally thousands of people in his list I have never heard of. So its very hard to parse through the list in a programmatic way, which means a lot of manual work (and don't even get me started on the wikipedia scraping).

Anyways, once I have a good list of discrete individuals, then I will have a super-solid starting dataset. I'm looking forward to getting there and also having a useful web UI to show all of it.

Any progress made on 'individuals and institutions' yet?

Yes. I have some idea of how this will look like and be architected and am already started on the dataset. Basically, individuals, organizations, and "lists" will be their own records. Individuals will be tagged to organizations and lists with a supporting source.

The starting dataset is the real challenge. I've decided ISGP's list of 1500 NGOs is a good place to start. The list has over 8k individuals and 1.7k institutions of interest, and I trust the reporting as accurate. Once I've parsed through the list there, I'll have a really good starting data set. I also intend to add a few other individuals and orgs that aren't included (hopefully with a digital copy of CoC, but I don't know of one that exists atm)

Ability to hyperlink text.

Yes. One of the big issues I will have to solve for is creating a wiki-style bio page (basically) for individuals, institutions, and lists (e.g. "Journolist", "Frankfurt School", etc.). I haven't tried anything like that before. But, the idea is that the "bio" would function as a kind of wiki page and be editable/changeable like the claims and sources entries are. There will also be auto-generated links to wikipedia, metapedia, and possibly wikispooks. The intention is that (at least, to start) AltBase only includes essential/otherwise unreported info on the subject matter, and list of institutions/affiliations that function similar to how the tag function works now. Very similar to exactly what you describe

Can you download from it? Can you batch download from it?

No - but you can navigate to the links and download them individually. Right now AltBase doesn't actually "host" any images or files. It just saves links. Eventually I want to write a script that downloads all linked content automatically (.pngs, .jpegs, PDFs, etc.) but I haven't done this yet. I could publish the database itself but I'd rather not do that because it might create vulnerabilities for the site

I routinely back up the database and website code to my local hard drive. Basically I've planned/designed things such that if the server goes down or service is denied I can have a very recent version back up and running somewhere else in under a day or so.

I've been working through a combined 'fact dump' made out of different fact dump posts on s/debatealtright,

Oh great, I'd be happy to have them added

Is there any way to submit multiple links

For a single source, "no" - but, you could put the additional links in the "Source Notes" section if you wanted to save them with the source. I would need to decouple the URLs and Sources in the database to accommodate multiple links for one source. It's probably a good idea to have those backups in the future, but the 1:1 Source:URL relationship is how I started out and it would take a significant amount of re-architecting to change that. Of course, you can change the URL for a source anytime if it breaks and you find a new one (or just report it as "broken").

I have about 20 entries which do not appear at all to have yet been added to AltBase. I have also found more links for a number of entries which have already been added.

Great. I'd say "add away" - but unfortunately right now the "sign-in" feature isn't working because of changes I had to make during the DDoS. I'm uploading a new version of the website soon (like, today or tomorrow, hopefully) with a few additional features and bug fixes, including that one. I'll let you know when that's done.

It was. The "Alt-Right" was a more nebulous term in 2017 that meant something to the tune of "psuedo-race-realist cultural conservative" but didn't have clear boundaries. There was a tentative alliance between race-realists, libertarians, AmNats, and actual NatSocs in 2016 during the Trump election. Many included general Am-Nats and Trump supporters as "Alt-Right". The term basically meant "anything on the right the mainstream thought was bad," but "wasn't banned from public discourse," and may, or may not, include "neo-nazis/KKK/whatever other bad thing." After Charlottesville in 2017, the media deliberately made this into a much more reprehensible term. The "Alt-Right" and "Alt-Lite" split formally happened over time as Trumps tenure went on, social media bans accelerated, and the so-called ""anti-semitic"" camp (like TRS) gained more influence. Now, "Alt-Right" is synonymous with "neo-nazi" in the public perception

I want to say my first attempt to start this was in mid-2017, just before Cville. Hopefully that gives you a timeline

There's plenty of JQ stuff. Just search using the tag '#Jews'

afraid to host certain content

I'm not so much 'afraid' of hosting it as much as I think its a bad strategy. Many potential collaborators will just outright refuse to work with people who question or discuss these things

I do support 'normie outreach' type approaches

"Holocaust denial" is illegal in most European countries and talking about 9/11 or the holocaust is a bannable offense on most large forums. And these are the places where its mostly intended to be used - debating normies in places like Reddit. AltBase is supposed to be for quick references for /ourguys/ in online forums where we are at a numerical disadvantage and we need to search for stuff quickly. Or for writing articles, too

I conceived it primarily for race-realism, combating anti-white and globohomo narratives on degeneracy, Islam, feminism, etc. These are all mostly Alt-Right topics, and the Alt-lite can't do race-realism or JQ. I'm not necessarily opposed to hosting holocaust or 9/11 stuff at some point in the future, just not right now (actually no such rule exists for 9/11 at present). I might be amenable to changing my mind, if that's what users really want

Not sure if you're joking, but it's not. Don't trust it if you don't want to - but you don't need any PI to use it. I've been working on this project on-and-off for several years now, it'd be a pretty elaborate scheme

It's just a contraction of "Alternative-Right Database"

[–]AltBaseGuy 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, no problem. Looks like you logged in fine and also added a source, so that's great

A corresponding claim you could add is something like "Many so-called "fact-checkers" are funded by Soros / OpenSociety Foundations". Then this Claim/Source would show up in ClaimView, like the others. I went ahead and did that (C1470) as an example. You can also add another claim for this source or edit the one I already made.

Ideally each of your listed links in your post would also be submitted as individual sources, but there is no reason why you can't also use it this way. Thanks for contributing, let me know if you have any other issues/questions

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I noticed your username was gone from Discord last I saw so I assume you had been banned. Question: Do you still link to the wordpress page or do you link directly to the website itself?

Hey

Sorry, I don't log in very often anymore unless I see activity on the sub (the captcha is a pain via VPN for me now) but basically only active here, though I check the discord from time to time. This post was the latest update, I detailed a little bit about my new push to get an individuals/institutions dimension to AltBase, which I have been working on a lot and plan to release kind of soon (I'm almost done with the starting data set but haven't figured out exactly how the pages will work). AltBase is also getting more queries and more users signing up, so that's cool. Still not a lot of content being added by these users though, so hopefully that changes.

Good to hear from you, hope all is well

Well, "Jewish" by default and "Zionist." Since most US Jews are left-wing we would guess he is a democrat, therefore also a "leftist." (In the off chance he's Republican, he would be a "Neocon")

The "JigNat"/"Optics Jew" split is really a subdivision of Zionists reserved for higher-profile Jews who actually have influence/power. This distinction is necessary to explain why Jews publicly (sometimes vehemently) disagree on matters related to Israel. The disagreement isn't that Israel should exist - the disagreement they have is about what is best for Jews/Israel. JigNats are mostly on the Neocon side and Jewish leftists/Democrats tend to be Optics Jews.

I'm not "spamming", this tool is related to the sub topic. It's not like I'm promoting it all over the site.

Use it or don't, I'm not sure what else I can do for you

Well just use it or don't. Not a lot of people know about it, it's something I built mostly myself, and I'm raising awareness. The goal is to build a better solution for people on the AR to use in debate, education, etc. It's free to use, always will be.

It shouldn't be empty - https://altbaseblog.wordpress.com/about/

AltBase (Alternative-Right Database) is a publicly accessible database of sources, claims (e.g. quotes, conclusions, talking points, statistics) and images that have been suppressed, censored, or ignored by mainstream media outlets and leftist academia. These sources, facts, charts, and tables are organized through a tagging system that allows for easy querying by topic.

Basically it's an interactive database of images/sources etc. to use for your online argumentation for race-realism, IQ, etc

Below a posting title, there is a menu list: "comment edit share save hide distinguish delete spam remove lock nsfw spoiler crosspost"

I'm aware, but no such menu appears for me. I see:

" comment edit save hide (un)distinguish delete spam remove approve lock nsfw"

There is another option, "make announcement" let me try that

Edit: That worked. I'm still replacing that post though. Talk about what Altbase is in the post, and link to a guide in the wiki or something. Based on some suggestions I've had I think I'm going to have to overthaul the entire UI
