I think limiting the amount of times someone can link is a good idea. I don't know if it's gotten worse in the short time since I've signed up(election year, entirely possible) or if I've just gotten familiar enough with the site to notice it. I've been blocking/reporting accounts that post nonsense links to entirely unrelated boards. When someone is posting a link to a shoe website on a book/Linux board while having no comments I assume they're a bot. Limiting post probably won't do shit for bots but it'll cut down on the accounts that have been spamming links to porn gifs.

Go to the CalyxOS or GrapheneOS site. Pick a phone that is supported by your chosen ROM, preferably both. Buy an unlocked version of that phone. Bonus points if you stalk their github/gitlab.

Calyx installer doesnt work on Debian stable btw. Glibc is old.

With Libgen I've realized that I can buy a $400-$800 e-ink device with a 10-13 screen and save thousands of dollars, pays for it's self in one semester. I think they have color screens and/or laptops that have a secondary e-ink thingey now. If you don't need to read technical PDFs and/or 10+ hours of screen time don't give you a screaming headache, save money and use whatever you're using to read this. If you just need the text you can go with a cheap kobo, pocketbook, low-end boox, etc. I'd skip the kindle, heard they can be fiddly to side-load and I'd prefer such a device to be strictly offline.

Our surveillance state and internal bullshit hasn't helped. When you look at the shitty behavior of our Govt(past and present) and how a significant chunk of our media/academia/politicians loudly say we're Satan why wouldn't foreigners believe them? Only way they'd be less bitchy about us is if they were scared of Russia again. The poll could also be bullshit, ours certainly are.

Fear, exhaustion, incessant propaganda, existential dread, etc. Most people don't care if their leaders are literal saints or if they kick babies. As long as it wasn't their baby and they can keep their porn, sportsball, corn syrup, Soma, and watch some devil spout gibberish on the idiot box they'll count their blessings that they aren't in Africa. That said most folks are less ignorant than people assume. They just assume, probably accurately, that they'll be incapable of taking care of their families/themselves if order is disrupted more than it already is. Take away a persons sense of stability and they'll run into the arms of their tribe. Running into the arms of your tribe isn't necessarily a bad thing, a lot of folks just chose shitty tribes.

Figured my $50 hand me down carrier locked phone I've used for years was becoming a security risk and I wanted to try out some of the secret squirrel roms. I felt guilty buying a $300 phone, It'd require a brain injury to make me buy one of those $700 + models people tell me to buy.

https://saidit.net/s/piracy/comments/g60/that_one_privacy_guys_guide_to_choosing_the_best/ Mullvad is the easy answer. Mullvad paid for with bitcoin bought with monero is the paranoid answer. Real answer is it's unfortunate that you have to trust your VPN provider, other users have made that point for me. The install Gentoo wiki has a decent amount piracy related shit. I'd get a VPN router if I were going to share a service with my entire house, you can buy one if you're not comfortable making one. Edit: Insomnia strikes again, I'd really look into what /u/ElifromtheBook wrote. That seems far more relevant to your question that the basics I'm familiar with, and avoid IP vanish or anything else hosted in the 5 eyes. It's also worth noting that the EU has taken a stance against VPNs and encryption lately

I was bewildered when I encountered a new social class at Yale: the luxury belief class. i do believe they are incapable of tasting sweet things. A roommate of mine had a cat that would drink smellier booze if I didn't watch him so you might be on to something. Depending on where you live bycatch might be a cheap option, even if your away from a coast an oily fish is probably healthier and easier to puree than chicken. I've had good luck getting elderly dogs to actually eat using deer scraps. I don't hunt but I have friends that always have meat and organs they don't eat but feel bad about wasting.

Try putting it in a pressure cooker for a really long time. First time I tried to make pulled pork in an instant pot it came out tough, then I over cooked it. Stuff had a texture that made wet tissue paper look sturdy and disintegrated the moment I touched it. That should make it easy to puree without any chemicals or spices that might harm the cat. If that doesn't work you could try a variation on 1700s shelf stable soup. Cut your meat into tiny precooked pieces, make a soup, hit it with an immersion blender, then evaporate the excess liquid off in a lidless crockpot on low.

I really hate its UI/UX but it did everything I asked of it when I used it. I'm required to use Firefox or a Chromium/Chrome for certain purposes(even if other browsers work) so I've given up on it for now. I do know they strip out certain features for security reasons, I don't know all of them off the top of my head.

Yup. My political beliefs are all over the sprectum and in today's climate it's "If you disagree with me your a Commie/Nazi". The 2016 election killed my friendships with a lot of people, they either fucked off or I told them to fuck off when they turned into an insufferable cock goblin. I've lost touch with some folks during the lock down but I think, or at least hope, I've lost all the petty/brainwashed fucks in my life. I won't cut off a friend or family member over(most) political beliefs, I will for shitty/cultish behavior inspired by their beliefs. EDIT: Insomnia

Have you thought about a reputable VPN for getting around this shit without resorting to tor? My old ISP would throttle the shit out of the most random websites and even Proton's mediocre free tier cut Steam download times in half. Hopefully your ISP gets some competition in the near future.
