How is the right racist when they've done all this.

Just to summarize (since I know most people won't watch the video): school choice (allowing black families in the inner city to choose to send their kids to suburban schools), music modernization act (more money for musicians who stream music, the majority of successful ones in America are black - just look at the top ten billboard chart at any given time), opportunity zones (bringing jobs to low income communities), first step act (reducing prison sentences by an average of 70 months, majority of whom are black and were put in jail by Biden's policies), tax cuts for small businesses (many owned by immigrants).

If they're racist why are they supported by so many mainstream black people like Candace Owens, Joya Villa, Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, Coleman Hughes, KingFace, Larry Elder, Kim Klacik, etc...?

If they're racist, they really suck at it. Especially since this is more than Obama did for the black community (unless you have evidence to the contrary).

In today's world where there are 20+ types of birth control, 5 cent condoms (even free ones at every health clinic), easy access to sex education online, apps to track your cycle, cheap ovulation tests, and even the morning after pill, is abortion really THAT essential when there are already 20+ choices (many non-invasive) and the knowledge of risk? Not to mention that there are plenty of non-PIV ways to be intimate if you're ovulating.

In a perfect world we'd have lots of choices and 0 abortions. Maybe one day we'll strive for that, especially since abortion is not 100% healthy for the woman getting one (physically and mentally), and can honestly be quite traumatic and cause infertility issues down the line.

How sad is this? A CONSERVATIVE publication publicizes the WoLF petition against men in California women's prisons. Where are our allies on the Left? by BEB in GenderCritical

[–]AccioWomensRights 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

It's because the left has moved so far left that it makes the republicans look like centrists.

And the obvious answer: you have no allies on the left. It's a sad truth. They can't even define what a woman is. And this is coming from someone who has voted with the left all her life but won't be voting that way anymore because where I live (Canada) we don't have women-only spaces anymore. We can't even profess our love for a famous woman on a billboard without censorship taking it down. If I accidently misgender someone I can be charged with a hate crime. They're planning on criminalizing conversations between parents and their children about transitioning (claiming that a single conversation counts as "conversion therapy"). They're criminalizing speech!! The left loves censorship, and this is coming to a policy near you if you let it.

Say what you will about Donald Trump, but at least he's standing up for free speech. If you don't have free speech, you can't meaningfully talk about anything. If you don't have free speech, you've got nothing.

edit: And I don't think the left is maliciously trying to be "evil" by trying to take our rights away... they legit think they're helping. They're trying to please everybody to the point where they're pleasing nobody.

Regarding covid, the death projections back in March were in the millions so, if anything, 200k deaths is a huge success in comparison to what was expected. And if you look at deaths per 1M of the population, the US is doing better than UK, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Chile, and five other countries.

Trump is standing up for women's rights by allowing rape shelters to be same-sex only - even Canada doesn't have these rights, and the US didn't under Obama and won't under Biden. The abortion issue will always be divisive and complicated, edit: especially in the US due to Planned Parenthood's racist and class-based eugenic origins (PP clinics were purposely set up in poor communities to keep their population small. Poor communities at the time were mainly black communities. PP still is, to this day, the reason the black population hasn't grown in the US over the past 100 years due to a disproportionate amount of abortions among the black community). I feel like this deserves a more nuanced conversation.

Trump is the only president to enter office supporting gay marriage. Obama didn't support it until halfway through his second term.

The children in cages stuff started in 2014 under the Obama/Biden administration. The border wall is meant to stop this from happening (since all the children in cages are there because their parents snuck them over the border illegally and then got themselves arrested). And he's not deporting brown people?? Not sure what that's about, unless they're illegal immigrants who broke the law. (And, btw, Biden is a HORRIBLE option for black people - his actions and words of the past shows that he despises them - just look up Biden's 1994 crime bill and compare it to Trump's First Step Act prison reform policy).

And regarding the "Trump is a rapist" thing - I'm not sure if he's ever been charged with rape, but Biden also has his fair share of accusations (look up Tara Reade) and he's SUPER creepy around women and children. They're both shitty when it comes to this, so they kind of cancel each other out.

Same. I'm not American but I'd vote for him (and I completely despised him just a few months ago). The BLM movemnt sent me digging for facts about how racist America actually is (I'm Canadian so I have no clue), and was shocked to see all the amazing things he's done for the black community (first step act prison reform, the lowest unemployment rate for black people in years, school choice, opportunity zones, music modernization act), he stands up against the CCP (which unfortunately controls the Canadian government and the CBC), he's standing up for women-only rape shelters and preventing human trafficking. This is way more than we have in Canada. He's also the first president in my lifetime not to start a new conflict or war. Oh! And you guys have the most important thing: free speech. It seems like Trump is one of the only leaders of the western world defending it right now, and this should be the most important issue. You can tell it is for a lot of people if you look up #walkaway on youtube.

Hopefully the US stands up to marxist ideology and Canada can follow by undoing all the mistakes our government has made (and maybe we can get our free speech back). Marxism is already here. It's scary. The thought of Biden winning and putting through protections for gender identity as his first step sends shivers down my spine. If you guys get forced speech put into law like Canada did with Bill C 16, it'll be very difficult for both countries to go back (IMO) because things will keep going down a slippery slope until things get REALLY bad (as a potential example: evolution no longer being taught in science class because people are triggered or think it's "transphobic", or science teachers potentially being jailed). If Trump wins, it at least means some hope for us repealing Bill C16 sometime soon and stopping a marxist system before it progresses too far.

Please Americans, don't let your country become like Canada, UK, or Australia where you can be fined by the cops and potentially arrested for liking a tweet, making a facebook post, or misgendering someone. Canada wants to make it illegal simply to suggest therapy for trans children and teens. We can't even have a poster saying "I love JK Rowling" without censorship taking it down. The US is the last domino standing when it comes to free speech. There's a reason why the Hong Kong protestors wave Trump flags. This was Montreal yesterday, and there was another rally like it at parliament hill a few weeks ago. I know this is a long post, but I just want Americans to know... Trump: he's not that bad.

edit: Many people in this thread keep mentioning the environment... Trump's 2020 campaign promises to clean up the oceans in his next term. And considering he's actually followed through with a bunch of the stuff he promised the first time around (like the wall), I kind of believe him?? He's narcissistic enough to want that accomplishment under his belt.

Yeah I find the outrage about the death toll really silly. The death toll projections back in March were in the millions, so if anything, it's a miracle the numbers are as low as they are. And it's the state-level that is in charge of the covid response (and all the states with the worst numbers are Democrat-run).

There also weren't any hospitals that got overrun and nobody was denied a ventilator (i.e. triage) like what happened in Italy.

So I really don't know why people keep blaming Trump for covid.

Not gonna lie... when I first read the Deathly Hallows, I assumed there was homoerotic tension between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. Not many 17 or 18 year old boys spend a whole summer writing to each other, re-reading each others' letters late at night, glorifying their male friend, and waiting anxiously for the owl to deliver their next letter. I never saw an issue with her admitting that Dumbledore was gay because I figured the subtext was already there.

I wish it was more overt in the movies (esp. Fantastic Beasts) but whatever. I know Hollywood is scared to do that in "kids" movies (or movies that will make a lot of money in China). I know someone who worked on those movies and he said Rowling's scripts were like books in themselves, and the studio ended up cutting more than half of the story out.

edit: Also, for anyone unaware, the only reason she admitted explicitly that "Dumbledore is gay" is because the screenwriter wanted to write a scene in one of the movies where Dumbledore talks about a long-lost love - a young witch from his youth. When reviewing the script, Rowling wrote a huge X on the page and wrote "Dumbledore is gay" (and this is what got sent to the media). I wonder if the twitter crowd would have been as upset about the retconning if Dumbledore's straight relationship was kept in the movie. (My guess is probably not).

I've seen SO much gatekeeping regarding JK Rowling and talking about trans issues. First it was "she's not allowed to speak for the trans community!", and then "doesn't she know the black lives matter protests are happening? Why is she speaking about THAT at a time like THIS?", and now "autistic people can speak for themselves!"

Is nobody allowed to talk about anything??? I guess only if they're on the pre-approved topics. But (like Douglas Murray said) trans issues and policies affect EVERYBODY.

He still brags about how he had to fight to hire a woman, and he's constantly patting himself on the back for being so progressive for hiring a woman in a field dominated by men... But just a few weeks ago he said "she was a wonderful choice! But if I knew she'd go on to have 3 kids within the span of 5 years, maybe I would have chosen someone else. Har-har-har."

Yup. If we don't stop this now, women will have to fight for another women's movement. But that one won't be called a "women's" movement. We'll have to redefine ourselves completely to differentiate ourselves... and we can't use the word "female" either because TIMs already call themselves that too. And, let's face it, anything we use to describe ourselves gets taken over by them.

It's easier to fight for it now because it'll only get harder the longer this goes on.

I re-read books 4, 5, 6, and 7 recently and they're so relevant to the times (especially 4 and 5) in regards to the media creating a narrative, forced speech ("I will not tell lies"), Harry getting "canceled" by the wizarding world, forced re-education, Ron being annoyed at Harry's "privilege" (even though that "privilege" is due to being hunted by Voldemort since birth), etc.

I know the first two books are a bit childlike, but I will always recommend people read Harry Potter if they haven't already!

edit: Also, the re-read makes Hermione's S.P.E.W. activism look like a performative social justice TRA. She's super vocal about a group that doesn't really want or need her help - some of the elves are even annoyed by it. And she pushes her friends to perform the activism too (the S.P.E.W. badge is like the wizard version of a woke hashtag). Harry and Ron (even Dobby) don't really agree with her but they do it anyway to make her happy.

I think it is relevant to GC because it's compelled speech or compelled action, just like personal pronouns are (or will be). In Canada, gender pronouns are already considered compelled speech by the government. Not going along with them can potentially be considered "hate speech" (kind of like how people lately have been saying "silence is violence" when it comes to not saying "BLM" or raising a fist). Compelled speech/action are the beginning of the loss of free speech.

And those same privileged people are the ones who have nothing else to do but change genders because they're too bored being "cis" or straight. TRAs and BLM are very tightly entwined I've noticed.

It's when you're in r/trollx r/twox r/witchesvspatriarchy that you get called out. TIMs and TRAs know female-dominated subs are easier to control and shout on compared to the male-dominated front page. I remember getting a ton of support when defending JK Rowling on a 31k comment r/askreddit thread and the single TRA arguing with me was downvoted to oblivion. And this was right around the banwave.

I watched this interview a few days ago.

The gist is that the daughter became indoctrinated around 14 years old by Tumblr/Deviantart - before this time she was very feminine, never presented as masculine. When she was about 17 or 18 she decided to go on testosterone. The mother did a bunch of research and saw that the likelihood of women having heart attacks on testosterone is extremely high, and since they have heart disease running through the family, the likelihood of her having a fatal heart attack before 30 is very high. The daughter said dying before 30 would be worth it to have a beard and a deeper voice. The daughter considers herself a gay man, even though her boyfriend considers himself a straight man.

There wasn't anything hateful in the video. Just a very sad mom who obviously loves her child a lot.

As a non-American who can't go to any homeless shelters in my country without men in them, I honestly hope Trump wins so that America can be the leading example in holding up sex-based rights. Maybe my country will follow in a few years.

I doubt the climate will collapse in 4 years and, if anything, capitalism will make certain things cheaper and more available (e.g. solar power, electric cars), and more things being made in the US (i.e. less cross-ocean cargo ships and more state-specific factory regulations). I honestly don't know what Obama/Biden did to help the environment in their 8 years.

I completely agree with you. I'm gc, but the gc community makes me not want to be a feminist. They're very tribal and have their own versions of "wrongthink".

I especially agree about the male allies part. I posted a video of Ben Shapiro on GC yesterday where he dismantles the trans argument and there were some comments dismissing him as an "idiot" and an "embarrassment" even though the video was solely him sharing his GC viewpoints. It doesn't matter to them because (according to them) since he's pro-life or used to be associated with Breitbart, he's trash (even though he left Breitbart because they were mistreating one of the female employees). I also posted an article in a different gc forum about how Trump was protecting women's shelters from trans-identified males entering. Did it matter? No, since Trump was involved, they said he had to have an insidious agenda that was going to hurt women, even though same-sex homeless shelters are one of GC's biggest demands.

I'm not American but even I can look at those things objectively and be like "wow, those are allies fighting for the GC cause" without endorsing everything that person stands for. And it seems overly privileged to be annoyed at a beneficial law just because they don't like the person putting it in place (and I say this as someone who has zero same-sex women's shelters where I live with no hope for having a similar law enacted here any time soon). The community makes it really hard to have a nuanced conversation when they treat everything like black or white.

I've also noticed this with leftists posting lots of "BLM" stuff but not calling out Joe Biden for all his racist gaffes (literally two in the past week). Yet everyone virtue signaled how "horrible" Aunt Jemima was.

They want women's rights, but they want to destroy the meaning of woman. They believe in science, but only in regards to brain gender and not bodily biology.

Very true. I remember the whole "metrosexual" phenomena in the early 2000s too. I know some people say it was basically a way to say "hey, guys can groom themselves too!" but it was more like 'Hey, guys can get spray-tans and manicures and wear pink."

I think it started with Friends (remember Ross getting spray tans and wearing 'salmon'?, and Joey with his "man purse") and Ryan Seacrest was also a "well groomed" guy who happened to be straight (as Britney Spears publicly found out when Ryan mentioned his girlfriend and she was like "girlfriend??"). It seems like that disappeared. But even with guys like Ryan Seacrest and James Cordon who are pretty flamboyant straight guys they still fit the masculnie archetype. And it doesn't help that they're both guys who often get made fun of by others in the industry.

edit: Britney realizing Ryan Seacrest isn't gay after knowing him for almost 10 years. And yet look at all the comments. People still think Ryan is gay. This is why straight guys need freedom from toxic masculinity.

This is also why women tend to stand with their "hip popped" like this. Because women's femurs (thigh bones) are angled in (like a V) to accommodate the wider bowl-like pelvis, whereas mens femurs are straighter and less angled. With the femurs angled in a V, it means the muscles are pulling around the hip more often, so "popping a hip" is a way to relieve the tension in the muscle. At least I learned this in anatomy class.

edit: a picture of the thigh-bones way more angled in women

From what I've seen in her talks/interviews, she says male and female brains can be distinguished at a rate higher than chance but it's still not an exact science. And dysphroic male brains often display the same patterns as those of gay males (not women).

So if anything, this science would be bad for dysphoric males since it debunks the fact that they have "women brains." But again, from what she's said in the past, it's not a 100% exact science so far, just something she's observed at a higher rate than 50/50 chance.

Just do what Meghan Murphy does and ask "what is a woman?" (make sure they don't answer cyclically, i.e. in a way that involves the word "woman") or ask them "what is a transwoman?"

Because she's right, there's no real definition for what it means to be trans and they usually can't describe what a woman is other than "someone who identifies as a woman" which isn't a description at all. It's like saying "an apple is something that seems like an apple".
