Haha no. But should it include Drop the B?

I never insisted that's what you meant, I simply asked whether that was what you were implying because I see that sentiment a lot on other forums.

Homophobia does manifest differently depending on the sex of the person, yes, but the priority is still to end homophobia. Same priority. And lesbians are fortunate that the homophobia they face is less violent and hateful. But I guess ending that isn't a priority for some lesbians? They'd rather focus on only ending their flavor of homophobia which is less harsh?

Of course they're free to, and there's already s/Lesbians . LGB isn't a social club. Of course every letter needs their space and they're entitled to that, but LGB is a political movement for homosexual civil rights and "Get the L Out" is basically what we're doing here: trying to split from the T politically because our interests directly conflict. Except... there's no conflict between lesbian and gay rights. So why split politically? That just weakens us all.

Haha nice, trying to hurt me with the fact that my friend removed her genitals because of internalized homophobia and mental illness. How selfish and foolhardy of me to care, right? I was just stressed that night and paranoid that I scared her off, but she just fell asleep and resumed talking to me for a while longer after that but still went through with the surgery. Why did you bring that up? I guess now I'm supposed to kiss your ass for bothering to comment on that post.

All you're doing is complaining about my tone and throwing around accusations with nothing to back it up. I guess that's what you call "censoring criticism" lol I never asked you to treat me with kid gloves. This isn't reddit.

The fact that women are given a lot more leeway here even when they're harassing gays is obvious, and it points to the sub's radical feminist leanings. It's hypocritical. You have the right to not like it when I point that pattern out, but you can't stop me from saying it.

Also, it's incredibly narcissistic to act like you're "explaining" things to me as if I know nothing when I completely understand where you're coming from, I simply disagree with you. Since I disagree, I'm some idiot who needs to be educated by you, right? We're just having a discussion where we disagree, an argument perhaps. Or is that not allowed?

Thanks for the "advice", but you're not the tone police. I noticed that when we talk, you report my comments, I guess because you disagree with me. Again, this isn't reddit. I have the right to disagree with you.

Psychotic homophobia in the comments:

I will say this mom is, by far, one of the greatest advocates for her son, I have ever read.

I ought to know. Had I been born in this era, I would have succumbed to the demonic and blasphemous siren call of transgenderism, which is merely the latest ‘phase’ of ‘gay lib’ BS talk. The idea that somehow, God messed up when assigning gender, sex, masculinity, you name it. It’s all the same. Being a MAN. And those who would convince boys they aren’t men, should be shot.

Society is WRONG, the Gays are WRONG, the Tr@nn!3s are SICK, and the Perverts who want to destroy our children, are committing CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY on a MASSIVE scale, and must be stopped.

Because I chose NOT to submit to my mis-directed lusts at an early age, I am in a unique position to speak, even as I remain anonymous, and even though I tried very hard to ‘fit in’ to the ‘gay subculture.’ However, EVERYTHING I saw about it, repulsed me. EVERYTHING. From the moral vacuity, the disregard for other people, the trashy talk, the bitchiness, the STD’s, Aids, the illegitimate political activism for a sexual perversion- all of it, I turned my back on, forty years ago. And got married- to a woman, a Christian, and someone who was willing to help me ‘save myself from this perverse generation.” [ Acts 2:40] No, we don’t have sex- and, as we age, it doesn’t matter. The Church has many examples of husbands and wives who have led chaste lives, for a reason, I have been permanently psychically scarred from my forays into Sodom, INC. I am a ‘voluntary celibate,’ because I want eternal life, more than ‘the pleasures of a season.’ Do we love each other? Yes. She illumines my every day, and I would lay down my life for her, because of her selflessness in redeeming this sinful, pitiable man.

But…. I AM a Man, because of her.

And NO ONE should have that divinely-bestowed gift denied them.

Bernhard. Just up and die, you bastard. The only solution to ‘LGBT’ bullshit, is public stoning, of everyone who advocates this death style. The ONE THING that Pisslam has going for it, is the communal solution to crimes besetting it- taking up stones.

Your comment shows you either were a LOUSY parent, and enabled your son or daughter to kill their very soul, OR you have committed living suicide yourself. Stoning merely affirms your choice, and helps reduce the evil in this land. ANATHEMA.

This isn't just a rich people problem. In fact, poor communities tend to place more emphasis on gender roles and are more homophobic (the two things go hand-in-hand), so they end up with even more people believing they're trans. Rich people just get all the surgeries done sooner, which is a problem because there's less/no time to back out, but when the poor kids with extreme levels of internalized homophobia start making their own money, they "transition".

edit: And this has been going on since before medical "transition" was even a thing. Transing homosexuals has been going on since at least the beginning of written history.

I personally don't think it's a coordinated effort by some malicious force. "Transing" homosexuals has been going on since at least the beginning of written history. It occurs independently in cultures that have no contact with one another. The only thing that's different this time (other than more advanced technology and "medicine") is that now heterosexuals (mostly heteros who are gender non-conforming) are also being transed.

She said some of my arguments were convincing, but she "wasn't going to let that stop [her]". She has a lot of doubt and anxiety about the whole thing, but is convinced that it's all "irrational" and this is going to "cure" her crippling dysphoria. She's a young woman, definitely, but 19 is far from a child.

As far as Lisa Shupe, he's a little different because he's self-aware and trying to deal with his condition. I'd feel some sympathy for an AAP woman who is doing the same, but none for one who thinks it's acceptable to harass gays. So I see why some people here would afford him some pity, but this situation is totally different, and my point that "transbians" who harass lesbians are rightfully given no sympathy still stands.

What is also true is that AGP is generally a condition that inspires men to harass women.

This AAP woman has already harassed gays online and wants to do it in person. AGPs are not unique in that respect. Are the men here obligated to feel sympathetic towards this predatory woman?

I went through her post history and found this exchange:

Random Redditor: Then what term should be used if I'm only sexually attracted to people with vaginas (completely regardless of gender)?

nose-vomit (OP): I would call that "predatory" and also "invalidating"

And these gems:

being molested did delay my transition because I became a man hating lesbian.

God the amount of mtf people who aren't attracted to ftm really bugs me. Like...how are you both trans and invalidating trans people.

I'm attracted to masculine energies

She explicitly says she's attracted to "men and non-binaries" and has dated a few other (female) trans chicks, A.K.A. "transmen" before. It seems like she's a bisexual woman attracted to masculinity.

Also bonus homophobia:

I want to dress more like a gay man but lately I've been so insecure that I dress super fucking masculine to try and at least not get misgendered constantly. Idk how to dress more gay without like...being seen as a woman. It's really frustrating. Feels like I can't win

it can't be genetic because there are entire civilizations that celebrate and institutionalize homosexuality as the highest form of love

That doesn't mean it isn't genetic. Also what civilizations?

Sexuality isn't "learned" and there is no proof of that.

However, I do agree that a lot more people are bisexual than most people think. I personally think that over 50% of the population is bisexual, meaning that the majority of people who call themselves heterosexual are actually bi. True heterosexuals seem to be rare, like homosexuals.

Straight people are straight because society will ostracize and punish you for heresy and disobedience.

No, but that's why the majority of masculine bi men/feminine bi women don't come out.

Homosexual transsexualism is insanely homophobic.

It's evil to surgically "alter" (the word I want to use is banned) homosexuals, removing their testicles and turning their penises inside out and not allowing them to heal, which makes them very prone to infection, or removing their breasts and arm skin and sewing up their vaginas, and altering their bodies permanently with hormones. These procedures shorten their lives and worsen the quality of their lives, all because society/their family/the person themselves isn't comfortable with a GNC homosexual person just existing as they are. The practice should be banned and any doctor who has ever participated in it should rot in jail for eternity.

Also, they do have their own laws in effect such as the right to forge documents, for example putting the wrong sex marker on their driver's license. This is a homophobic lie and is dangerous for the person's health. If a HSTS gets in a massive car accident and is unconscious and needs medication, the doctors will give them the dose that corresponds to the sex marker on their driver's license. I know someone who almost died like that.

This took a lot of bravery. Isaac is clearly an intelligent young man.

I fear that once the "transtrender" bubble bursts, people will simply think of HSTSs like this boy as "real" trans people and all the trans structures created by AGPs and supported by hoards of "transtrenders" will be used to keep oppressing feminine gays and masculine lesbians, "transitioning" them into a life of pain and suffering instead of allowing them to grow as people and learn to love themselves.

edit: Not sure if he is homosexual actually, he mentions a gf so he is straight or bi, but he isn't an AGP.

Can you link me? I couldn't find the post in your history.

Buut I did see a related post where you said "cis gays/lesbians are able to like trans people" and I'm wondering what kind of trans people you mean? Hypothetically, gays could be attracted to trans guys (male "transwomen"), but the percentage of them who actually are attracted is probably quite low. And gays are not capable of attraction to women whether they're trans or not.

Man != dick, but every single healthy man is born with a dick, among other things. Every single cell of the body of a man is different from that of a woman and a dick is just one aspect of that. Dick is just brought up because trans people change their bodies in order to look like the opposite sex and sometimes they "pass" decently from the waist up, but they often don't get genital surgery because of how horrible it usually turns out and even when they do get it, it's nothing like the real thing.

Homosexuality is a sexual identity. It's a sexual orientation. It is sexual by nature. Obviously we fucking love each other too, but the basis is still sexual attraction and there's nothing wrong with that. It's the same as heterosexuality and bisexuality in that sense.

As far as attraction being there and magically "turning off", I also drafted a response to that a while ago; give it a read, it's not that long.

edit: And I just don't understand how that's transphobic? I'm not trying to be a cock but can you just elaborate on that a little?

I'm American, and you're right that there are a lot of people like that. I have been around a lot of rednecks and they love America because "we're the only free country" and other such ridiculous nonsense.

Even the "realistic" ones still believe some myths like that America saved the world from the Nazis in WWII instead of Russia.

It's hard to say whether they are the majority, but they're a significant portion. And reluctant_commenter is right that the media only focuses on happenings inside the U.S. Just put an unlabeled world map in front of the average American (including me), ask them to label the countries, and watch them embarrass themselves.

We are a really massive and powerful country so there's a lot going on and it's easy for news outlets to focus exclusively on what is going in the U.S., other than very occasionally mentioning something one of our rivals like China or Russia is doing.

I mean, just look at the names of the public broadcasting services in a few English-speaking countries:

Britain: BBC - British Broadcasting Corporation

Canada: CBC - Canadian Broadcasting Corporation

U.S. - PBS - Public Broadcasting Service

And it's really common for Americans to not have traveled "outside their backyards"; they're not some rare breed. It's more common in the ghettos in the cities (and these people tend to hate the U.S., but also tend to hate other countries even more), where some people have never even traveled around the whole city, much less outside it, but this is also a thing for rednecks in small towns who only occasionally go to larger towns for things like malls.

What trans people don't get is that homosexuals were NEVER attracted to them. by 7874 in LGBDropTheT

[–]7874[S] 7 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 0 fun8 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

My attraction is 100% contingent on the other person 1. knowing what sex they are and thus being okay with it (and thus, being okay with their sexual orientation as well without any transition or declaring of NB status, etc.), and therefore 2. not lying about their sex.

And those are preferences, not sexual orientation, and not every single bisexual feels that way. However, every single homosexual is unable to feel sexual attraction to the opposite sex.

And sorry I mentioned bisexuals, but it is relevant because trans people are being homophobic by expecting homosexuals to somehow override their homosexuality and date them. The reason homosexuals aren't attracted to trans people of the opposite sex is because they're homosexual and these trans people are being homophobic by trying to pressure them to be with the opposite sex. Bisexuals are not attracted to trans people not because they're bisexual, but because trans people are undesirable partners for 9999999 other reasons, and no one should be pressured to date someone they're not interested in of course. I'm just pointing out the different mechanisms and the distinct homophobia in play when they target homosexuals.

I'm trying to tell you there's a minefield here for bisexual people just like there is for gay men and lesbians, about how we are talked about and how we are treated and what we are assumed to want.

And people who say you should date trans people are filthy incels, but what bisexuals face on this front is a bit different from what homosexuals face. Homosexuals have their own homosexual-only spaces they've created that are infiltrated by homophobic incels. These spaces are the only places they have. They have zero other options for dating other than homosexual-only spaces like apps, bars, cafes.

Attracted to biological males and biological females who accept biology and reality and thus their own bodies.

That isn't a sexual orientation. Sexual orientation only describes the sex one is attracted to. I don't date white people (no offense lol sorry to anyone reading this, I'll be friends but I'm simply not interested for physical reasons) because I don't feel attraction to them, but that doesn't make it part of my sexual orientation. There are no qualifiers in sexual orientation. Homosexuals like the same sex, heteros the opposite, and bisexuals both. If bisexuals think a person with breasts and a dick is unattractive because that's weird, more power to them and they have zero obligation to date anyone. However, said person is still male, and therefore falls within the bounds of a bisexual orientation, but is excluded by preferences.

I notice you brought up political reasons why you're arguing this point and I get it. But also consider the implications if we start adding preferences into sexual orientation. That's part of the reason we have ridiculous new "orientations" nowadays like "pansexual" or "cupiosexual" or any number of others. And if we say that orientations are not exclusively sex-based, that messes with the definitions we have now of "gay" and "lesbian". Who's to say we can't just start adding qualifiers like the TRAs? "Gay means attracted to males except there are exceptions for certain women." No! Gay just means homosexual male. If homosexuals have qualifiers or exceptions, what do they need the right to be homosexual for? If orientation is not sex-based, they can just find some very specific person of the opposite sex to be with. No. Sexual orientation is defined exclusively by the sex(es) on is attracted to.

What trans people don't get is that homosexuals were NEVER attracted to them. by 7874 in LGBDropTheT

[–]7874[S] 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Hypothetically, gays can be attracted to trans-id guys (males) and lesbians can be attracted to trans-id women (females), and while they're probably not that common, they definitely exist.

My acceptance / rejection criteria regarding the other person's understanding of their biological sex and their mental health and comfort with being that sex are the same.

These are just preferences, and while very important, are not the same thing as an orientation.

Here's an example of what I mean: a lesbian is a female homosexual, only attracted to women.

  1. She can't be attracted to a trans-id guy (male) because he's male and she is only attracted to females; in this case, she is not attracted on the basis of her sexual orientation.

  2. She could possibly be attracted to a trans-id woman (female) since she's female, but would most likely find any masculinized features such as removed breasts, extreme body hair, etc. to be a turn-off, because they remind her of males, which she's completely unattracted to as a female homosexual. In this case, she is not attracted on the basis of her sexual orientation.

  3. Now, this isn't the only reason this lesbian is bothered by the trans-id woman. She is also turned-off because the woman is delusional and self-hating. In this case, she is not attracted because of her (completely normal and standard) preference for non-delusional, non-self-hating partners.

Case 3 is the one that bisexuals and lesbians have in common. There are a million other reasons not to be attracted to trans people. But the reason that homosexuals are not attracted to trans people is because of their sexual orientation, while the reason that bisexual people are not attracted to trans people is because of the 99999999 reasons other than their sexual orientation. Some bisexual people are attracted to trans people. But no one has to date them! I'm glad you're not lol you're dodging a bullet, seriously. But some bisexual people are attracted to trans people because the lack of attraction isn't based on: "these traits are the traits of the sex I am not attracted to" or "this person is not the sex I am attracted to", which are the orientation-based disqualifiers.

edit: Made a mistake on case 3, but it's fixed.

edit2: It wasn't fixed last time lol.

Gays and lesbians aren't attracted to trans people of the opposite sex because they are attracted to the same sex only. It's not because they find the whole mishmash of parts thing unsettling, which it definitely is and probably the majority of bisexuals have a problem with that, but they aren't not attracted by the same mechanism.

It's because "transman" is a made-up word to describe a woman who thinks she is/wishes she was a man, while "trans man" uses "trans" as an adjective to describe an "actual" man. So they can say "I'm a real man; I just happen to be trans."
