When people treat you like a disease when you extend overtures of friendship, respect, and trying to do your job, of course you fill like work.

Honestly, after years enduring this in horrible jobs, I think most offices are just fucking awful places - but for nobody more so than unlikable "femcels".

If an -nkwell can code or something or people take pity on him, he'll do ok.

If people project onto you that you are "quiet" (unlikable, not a good face for customers, not part of the team) because they instinctively dislike you, don't value your work, etc...you're like a failure as a woman. People idolize socially adroit attractive men and give slightly oddball men a chance, if they are "useful" enough (though I don't want to pretend they can't be treated this way too).

Corporate America is like middle school, only your bully can keep you from being able to feed yourself.

I found universities really fucking nasty to work in, too.

I won't diminish it at all. I have a botched rhinoplasty and breathing issues...I grind at night and it's destroyed my teeth. It looks like shit, I'm in such a way that any "correction" will probably require a monster nose, and most surgeons I've asked for help have either said no or said not without harvesting rib cartilage....

Having shitty bone structure has multiple dimensions of health and pain ramifications.

These days you need to make at least six figures to live alone (or with roommates, actually, lol! That or a spouse!). I've never had friends who would live with me. They chose their siblings or husbands. You are literally too old to be in as much trouble as you are, and by 25....you're passed over for fresh college grads.

We're young, you know. I know chronologically we are.

But all it means in your 30s is you have more time to suffer.

I have felt real happiness or connection to others in al long. Every couple of years I'll be in the company of high school friends that are one year away from just cutting me out of their lives and that I have nothing in common with, so I can't even enjoy the rare birthday party or event to make some celebration of their lives - wedding, birthday, etc.

I’ve been subscribed to it for a while for the drama. Heard it mentioned on a “most fucked up sub” askreddit thread.

True femcels WAS a sub about women who were too ugly to find relationships or self love and shit like that. It was diverse, ranging from anyone who has mild self confidence issues to people who are calling for the death of all men and then all women because fuck humans I guess.

The big issues on that sub consisted of

Anti-body positivity. They bandwagoned the shit out of anyone who was proud to be not thin. Frequent brigades on body positive subs and accounts.

Spreading alt right conspiracies where they both denied that they were being influence by incels but also word for word copied what incels said.

Self harm encouragement. Self explanatory.

Homophobic, transphobic, generally bigoted. They would brigade trans and gay subs and accounts.

They had some good posters and discussions that encouraged a journey of self discovery and love despite how you may have been born or how you turned out, but those were few and far between. The vast majority of that sub was a toxic shitstain that bullied sensitive individuals to fuel their sick hatred of their own bodies. It was fucked, and it should have been banned.

Why am I responsible for the evils of reddit? I don't follow hate threads about Ellen Pao and I don't think think there should be an absence of moderation. Women have gotten plenty of death threats for posting in our own subs though, for the years I've posted in women's spaces. In years on reddit. FAW was tormented for a full year.
