It's not innate. We haven't ever found a genetic cause for homosexuality. It's not a choice, but it's likely environmental rather than genetic. Probably the basis of sexual impulses develop in our first few years and remain rigid. I'm absolutely not implying we choose attractions, just that they're developed very early in life rather than innate. It's been studied that even masculine gay men were effeminate in their early years.

Perhaps there are more gay men than women because attraction to boys is shown as something where they take care of you, whereas attraction to girls is shown as something where you take care of them. SHOWN AS- I'm not suggesting it's reality. The former is much, much more interesting to children yet to develop their attractions. It would explain why the gay men outnumber gay women seemingly by a factor of anywhere between five to a hundred, and so fucking many men who claim they're straight are really also attracted to guys. I'm telling you this is true in India, one of the most conservative countries in the world.
