It's worse than MSNBC, because so many people don't realize how alarmingly astroturfed most of reddit is. They still have some trust that it's organic, on average. But almost everyone knows TV media is untrustworthy (even if many don't act on that knowledge...).

Can confirm. A family member keeps sending me Reddit bullshit.

Worse.

It's funny because bots and AI are mow able to have full conversations with real members. So, lots of it is inorganic and a waste of time.

That makes sense to me.

I haven't been there for months, with the exception of links posted here.

I completely agree that it's a waste of time. It was fun while it lasted.

Might sound crazy but it's MUCH better to have you family members switching over into the reddit matrix then the facebook matrix. At least there's a legit dissident community on reddit. Facebook on the other hand is just trashed and totally controlled in the shit content they put on your feed. You can help your friends and family to only sub to reddit subs that have more balence. Facebook you really can't do that. You can also still have convos on reddit but with facebook it becomes shouting matches.

I'm not on Facebook, and everyone who knows me knows it. I agree that is probably worse.

Different levels of the pits if hell!

I think many people realized reddit is not organic, but most redditors don't realized it.
