I built a 4-dimensional version of Snake. It's multiplayer. We are planning on getting as many people on there 7pm EST Tuesday. But you are welcome to try it out now. by x0x7 in x0x7projects

It honestly didn't take long to make at all. But it's pretty fun even on single player. I've yet to test it on multiplayer. That's where you can help me out.

This one has less latency by a fraction, but no https:

But definitely come on Tuesday night. It might help to get some practice in before then.

The controls are up-down-left-right for x and y, and WASD for extended-x and extended-y dimensions. You'll figure it out.

Yeah. We just need to get a few more people there and it should be a decent site.

That's awesome. TOR is really slow though, I just gave up trying to watch a video, but the place is really friggin cool!

Latency is my issue. That's normal with any real-time application though. Of course, it works fine for you because when you developed it, you used a server probably within 50 ms of yourself. My lag is more like 500 ms.

What kind of issue were you having because it works for me. Is it lag?

I am trying to assess if lag is an issue for people because I happen to have a really good connection, so it's not indicative of everywhere.

This also means that gvid will be supporting iframes soon.

You can add an iframed item into gvid at https://gvid.tv/upload/iframe

The snake game was made a while ago. It's running at https://game.gvid.tv/msnake

It does hate wifi a little bit because it's multiplayer model is based on the game running on the server rather than client, arrow keystrokes go direct to the server, and then render diffs are sent to the clients. It's the same way cloud based gaming works, but because the client has no concept of the game itself, input latency is an issue. Basically cloud gaming doesn't work over wifi... well.

I should have a racing game I made up in a bit.

Make sure to press an arrow key to start.

I have long wanted to create my own business in the IT field, since I am very interested in this topic, but unfortunately, I do not understand much about it. But recently on the Internet I came across a very cool site that helped me with this - nearshoring ukraine They told me everything and provided real IT professionals for the development of the site and programs. I cannot fail to note a very good price-quality ratio. The guys are really very smart and have very valuable skills. I recommend this project, you will not be lost with it!

The default most is to take up the whole screen including your tabs. Now you can expand a video and still use your browser.

This firefox addon I based it on will do it for any website: https://addons.mozilla.org/zh-TW/firefox/addon/maximize-video/

Update: shift-click now copies the address of the cell clicked.

Also a hint. Ctrl-highlight can be used to copy data out for now.

[–]x0x7[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Advantages. You can put in a large JSON object and parse it out in a spreadsheet. You can have values that are themselves arrays, and address that part of a cell much more directly. Running split on a cell's content is pretty cool. Compare =c0:0:0.split('.')[0] to =left(A1,find(".",A1,0)-1).

The values of the cells could be html elements themselves and you could do some pretty meta shit, referencing the UI you're on.

The values of cells can be functions so you don't have to pull out the visual basic editor to add your own functions.

If you've been to the site before it may help to clear the cache.

If you look at your front page, then view a video and subscribe, and then look at the front page again, you should see what you would expect to see.

The sad thing is that not even youtube has a subscribe button that works.

It's device specific so you don't have to sign in to use it. Is that a plus or minus? But I think people like to watch different content on different devices anyway, and most people don't like signing into things to use a feature.

Proper search next.

The sad thing is I could still do more. I can still do each of the size iterations, which would give me all of trending and popular over again.

For the nerds all of this is done with O(1) or a lot of caching.

Longer versions of any section can be seen with https://vid.jssocial.pw/section/lviewed for last watched. That one updates live.

Update to Lifelist: You can now select your sample size and degree of randomness by x0x7 in x0x7projects

[–]x0x7[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Because this community is new I feel like I have to explain what lifelist is.

It's the todo software I use myself. It was originally an experiment with Condorcet ranking and then it turned into something useful and then basically it took over and it basically runs my life.

The idea is that every time you pull a task off of your todo list, you rank some items to give it feed back how soon you would like to see that task again. The idea is it reduces having to look at a list of 20 things and having to prune things explicitly.

Every task maintains a relationship with every other task so if one task is supposed to happen after another, when one task is deleted the others go back to the top of the list.
