So what i am just supposed to let men who hate women post constant bullshit and if i dont the sub women wont get on the front page? WTf magnora. Every single sub here had the right to their parameters but this one cant?? Explain.

[–]AXXA 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

Why did you remove this one for example? That was a really interesting video of a team of women surviving with basic tools. They even made fire at the 18 minute mark. That's really impressive.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (9 children)

Because the video is unavaileble. its a dead link.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (8 children)

Video works perfectly fine for me... this is exactly the type of removals we don't want, and why we have saidit moderator rules that disallow mods from deleting whatever they feel like.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (6 children)

Weird, maybe because of the country you are in? But the video is still 100% there and viewable for me, and apparently AXXA too.

There's no reason to remove dead links, that also removes the comments from public view and destroys the link which can still be used to find the video if someone wanted to. And also the video isn't dead like your browser is showing it. So overall there's no reason to remove the post.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

If its because of my country it usually gives a message that i can not view it because of country restrictions so i assumed the link was dead. What comments?? Nobody commented. No one gave a fuck acept axxa who now after suddenly 2 years of no mods will make their own "women sub".

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

There were 2 comments in the thread you deleted.

It's pretty clear you want to do your own thing as mod, and don't seem to care about saidit moderator rules (which we take very seriously) so we'll just leave your sub off of /all and that can be a compromise for everyone. You can continue running the sub as you please, and saidit won't have frontpage posts being deleted or removed on moderator whims.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

you know what forget it. Ill just chalk saidit down as another place that is not good for women. Got it.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

Same rules everyone else on this site has had to follow for 3 years now... you aren't going to get special treatment, sorry.

You can even mod as you like, you just can't be on /all...

If you'd actually read the mod rules you'd see you can remove things that drag down the pyramid of debate, including ad hominems if you really want.

Why you think the site rules magically don't apply to you, I'll never understand.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

And honest to god i'm getting tired of your fucking bullshit. Because of you this is no longer on the front page so i can do whatever the fuck i want. One more peep out of you and your gone got it? I'm over this bullshit.

[–]AXXA 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

The video works for me. I just watched it. And then I found the next episode because of how very interesting it is. I'm getting ready to watch that second episode now.

Now that the sub is off of /all you can ban anybody and remove anything you want after you state that in the subs sidebar. The reason the rules say that you have to state it in the sidebar is so that it is clear to everybody visiting the sub. I'm just trying to have a discussion with you though. I'm sorry you're upset about the situation. I'm upset that the sub was removed from /all as well. That was a choice you made. It's not fair for you to blame M7 or expect that the rules don't apply to you. The rules are there for a really good reason, so that everybody is able to participate. The deal is a fair deal. If you allow people to participate in the sub then in return the sub can participate in the /all list. That includes "men who hate women" as long as they stay on topic and are respectful to other contributors. I don't even understand how you can tell that a contributor is a man or that they hate women. You got what you want now though. You can run the sub by whatever rules you want. Just please don't be mean to M7 or demand that he explain why the rules apply to you just like they apply to everybody else.

I really hope that someday we can get along with each other. I'm going to create a new sub so that all the good content from this sub can be rescued and still be featured and discussed on /all. jet99 is a mod on /s/men and she would be a good mod for the new sub. I could invite you to help her mod the new sub if you want. I would also be happy to include a link in the sidebar to this sub so that people can find a place to have more focused discussions if you want me to do that. That way this sub will continue to have some exposure coming from /all.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No it's because of YOU. As I told you before i was in the process of sorting out the sub you just felt the need to be a n asshole. There was no communication. You did not ask me what i was going to do. All you did was piss and moan. Fuck off.

Where the fuck where you the past year when this sub had no mod at all? Thats right you didnt give a shit. Its only when someone took on the job you got your knickers in a twist.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (28 children)

I already told you... every moderator on saidit has to follow the saidit moderator rules. https://www.saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/w6s/saidit_rules_for_moderators/

If you choose not to follow those rules, then your sub is off the main page, no hard feelings.

If you don't want it off the main page, then tell me you'll follow those rules as a mod.

That's how it works, that's how it's always worked. This allows mods to do their own thing if they like. Several subs have opted to do this, and if you want to do your own thing that's fine too.

If you can meet your moderator goals while fitting them within the saidit moderator rules, then that's no problem at all. But if you want to just remove whatever you like, then you'll have to have the sub not be on /all. We do this to prevent moderator abuse and corruption, which was one of the main problems that caused the downfall of reddit.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (27 children)

None of what i removed breaks those rules. Did you even look at what i removed? Posts that women are not intelligent should not be here. Posts that women should not be able to vote should not be here. Posts with broken links should not be here.

There has not been a moderator here for TWO years. This sub is full of shitposts about women. Posts from people who frequent incel subs that post crimes women committed.

I was cleaning it up and sorting this abandoned place out which d3r and i talked about. He said it was great because we need more women on saidit. And here you are just randomly showing up because axa had a hissyfit and removing it from all.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (26 children)

Why though? Because you disagree with them?

Disagreement is not grounds for censorship on saidit.

Repeatedly dragging the quality of discussion downward is though, so maybe if you were looking at it through that lens (the actual rules of saidit) then maybe we could re-add you on /all? However removing dead links (that aren't dead) doesn't fit anywhere in saidit moderator rules, and is infact against those rules.

But instead it sounds like you want to make up your own rules, which is fine but we take you off of /all, as we've done. And that's fine, no problem with that. But if you want your sub to be on the main page, you have to follow the saidit moderator rules.

They're really not restrictive, and a lot of what you're doing might fit in to those rules. Try giving them a read. https://www.saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/w6s/saidit_rules_for_moderators/

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (25 children)

Why???? you think making posts telling women they are dumb and should not have the right vote IN THE WOMAN SUB is not dragging the the quality of discussion down??? WTF dude come one

This is absolute bullshit. So what you just want to keep this place dead and let all the incels post how dumb women are? Is that what you want because no woman will join a sub like that. You can just say i fucking hate women and be done with it then and you know it.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (16 children)

you think making posts telling women they are dumb and should not have the right vote IN THE WOMAN SUB is not dragging the the quality of discussion down???

Did I ever say it wasn't? I'm simply saying you need to remove things for reasons that are saidit rules, not just your own made up reasons. If the rules apply, then they apply. But you can't just make up your own rules, or else the sub gets taken off of /all

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (15 children)

And who decides what the specific rules of a sub are? Because i'm pretty sure politics removes everything not politics and everything nazi/white supremacist. Pretty sure food removes everything not food and food related fetishes.

They only things ive removed so far is pure misogyny and links i thought were dead and anything i thought that drags down the quality of this sub. like the rules say

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (14 children)

https://saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/j1/the_saiditnet_terms_and_content_policy/

https://saidit.net/static/PyramidDebate.jpg

Ad hominems can be removed. "misogyny" is too subjectively defined, and is not on the saidit rules.

"dead links" do not degrade the quality of discussion, especially if they're not actually dead. So I don't think you should ever remove a dead link since you can't tell if it's actually dead or not.

If you want to stick to only removing infractions that drag the quality of discussion down the pyramid of debate, and stop removing "dead" links, then I'd consider re-adding the sub to /all

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (13 children)

How am i even supposed to do that with a woman sub on a site with lots of womanhaters when i can not remove misogyny for dragging down the level of the sub?

Because i was planning to remove the crimes links aswel because they have absolutely no value to the ONLY woman sub on all except to make women look bad.

Like do you even understand the situation with women content on the internet? Its constantly targetted.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (12 children)

So you want to remove things that "make women look bad"? Including removing on-topic posts that are about women, because it's about women doing crimes?

That's extremely subjective, and is against the saidit moderator rules to apply such subjective mod rules for a sub on /all. You just stated you're going to remove things with a deliberate bias, removing things that look bad but are on topic, rather than just allowing for the free flow of information.

So your sub will definitely remain off of /all as long as you are going to remove things based on your own subjective rules instead of allowing for the free flow of information as saidit is intended.

Anyway, good luck with your sub. Have a nice day.

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

The only real problem is your removal of the "dead links" that aren't actually dead... that's against saidit mod policy to just delete things for your own reasons. If you can justify a removal based on the saidit rules, then that's no problem.

But "dead links" is not one of the saidit rules reasons for removal that's allowed for mods

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

There is nothing in your rules about not removing dead links. And as i showed you, it showed dead to me.

[–]magnora7 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

https://www.saidit.net/s/SaidIt/comments/w6s/saidit_rules_for_moderators/

Mods cannot remove posts that are on-topic and in good faith. The post with the 'dead' link was both on-topic and in good faith, and even had comments under it. You can't just delete content from saidit! That's why people come here, because we don't censor everything like reddit does.

[–]NeedMoreCoffee 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

How is a dead link on topic? its dead. but fine i wont delete dead links. You do realise that most people clean up dead things right? this is not like i did not read your rules. A lot of people think dead links have no value and are even annoying as fuck.

[–]magnora7 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

It's not dead though. You thought it was dead, but it wasn't. That's a huge problem, obviously. In reality you're just deleting content.
