Nah, that's pretty much true.

Both Mormonism and Islam allow multiple wives because they both had far more women members when they started.

Maybe it's too do with female intrasex competitive strategies, completing to be the most moral and average rather than the best.

Supporting religion is not controlling everything.

But look at the woke left. That is a religious type movement almost entirely supported by middle class women. Of course any time a powerful left wing man wants to shut them down he can but they still manage to ruin a lot of people's lives.
