Reddit is/was good for some things.

I don't ever feel comfortable around running chainsaws. Irreversable damage.

However, in these videos the chainsaws are less dangerous than the trees!?

the rule is: ladder + chainsaw + no PPG = disaster.

PPG? What kind of PPG can protect from a chainsaw?

I'm envisioning full plate tree trimming?

chainsaw PPG is full of fibres that tear out and gum up the chainsaw

also, hardhat, face protection, gloves, steel toecaps, ear protection all play vital roles in keeping you safe.

So anyone who isn't wearing that set obviously is either unaware of how many different ways a tree can kill you, or doesn't care.

Put them on a ladder, cutting a branch, and you know they are idiots, and that the chance of them cutting the branch/tree badly so that either it, or the chainsaw, hits them, is high.

That material is badass.

yup. still don't quite believe it'll work if I ever hit my legs with the saw.

You should mount the chainsaw as a survival trophy if you're ever unlucky enough to use that PPG and you walk away from it.

May that day of using PPG never come!

Happy for it to be completely unecessary, foverver
