Who would have been at fault? Would the courts blame the car?

Would insurance pay for it?
Can you insure your car as an individual driver?

I don't do cars, but pretty sure the Tesla would get blamed in a fair court (But maybe Elon bought his way into the justice system?).

Though would the insurance of the 'victim' get to know about this accident, and if so will their premium get raised? (talking about the human driver)

The insurance of a Tesla, hmm they do say ou have to have your hands on the steering-wheel wile driving... But this 'trick' defies that in total. Hmm uncertain...

But I do tell you, there is some Russian hacker out there writing a hack for Teslas so they drive into him (at a reasonable speed) so he can get insurance money :p

Should vehicle owners who aren't in their vehicles be liable for driverless damages? Interesting legal territory.
