Of course people are always more vitriolic when they hide behind the curtain of anonymity, you see that on all social media sites.

Another observation that I've made is that the creators of many free speech forums and social media sites tend to have their characters attacked in pretty regular ways (calling them a coward, pedophile, etc). It may just be regular trolling, but it also seems like some of the character assassination / COINTELPRO techniques.

I think the whole world became a desert of empathy and sympathy. They did it more obviously on internet , but it doesn't mean they having more empathy and sympathy in real life.
